Chapter 214 Extra 2

"Xie Zhan, someone is looking for you!"

Someone shouted into the dormitory and then went out.

Upon hearing this, the other boys in the dormitory were much more enthusiastic than Xie Zhan. Laughing, they swarmed towards the window, all wanting to see if the girl looking for Xie Zhan this time was that pretty girl from the finance department again.

“No,” one person said.

"She looks a bit taller and prettier than Airong," another boy said. "But she seems a bit older than Airong. Could she be a senior in college?"

Xie Zhan originally didn't intend to pay attention to the people outside. He was just going back to his dormitory to get some clothes. He also had to go to the hospital with his teacher later, so he didn't have time to waste on people.

But when he heard their exaggerated description of how beautiful the girl downstairs was, a thought suddenly struck him, and as if by telepathy, Xie Zhan took a few steps toward the window.

Before he could even get a clear look at what the people below looked like, he grabbed his clothes, took a long stride, and ran outside.

The roommates in the dormitory were all stunned.

"What happened?"

"Did the monk suddenly have an epiphany?"

"What department is this girl in? She's so amazing! Our top student was pounced on after just one look..."

Xie Zhan really lunged at Xu Yan, almost knocking her away when he grabbed her. Xu Yan's hair was all messed up from being pulled so tight.

"Let go, Xie Dabao," Xu Yan slapped Xie Zhan's arm, "Why are you still like this, kid?"

"Third Aunt, what brings you here?" Xie Zhan asked with a surprised and slightly goofy smile. He glanced at Xu Yan's face a few times, then looked behind her. "Where are my Third Uncle and Xiao Wu?"

"Looking for a parking spot," Xu Yan said with a smile, looking up at Da Bao, who was now almost as tall as Xie Zhuo, and straightening his collar. "How have you been lately? You look thinner."

"No way," Xie Zhan spread his arms and spun around in front of her, "I can eat more than my third uncle now."

As soon as you speak of the devil, Xie Zhuo, leading Xiao Wu over, heard Xie Dabao's words.

"Big brother," Xiao Wu broke free from Xie Zhuo's hand and rushed over to hug Xie Zhan's leg.

Xie Dabao scooped her up and gave her a loud kiss on the cheek.

Well, all the kids in the family are like that.

"Did you miss your big brother?" Xie Zhan pinched Xiao Wu's cheek; it was so soft. His little sister was definitely the best.

"I think about it, I think about it every day," Xiao Wu said sweetly.

"Really?" Xie Zhan asked, then reached out and hugged Xie Zhuo as well, "Third Uncle."

Xie Zhu patted him on the shoulder and said with a smile, "You're much stronger than you were a few months ago."

“That’s right,” Xie Zhan showed him his muscles.

"Xiao Wu has one too," before Xie Zhuo could speak, the little girl imitated Xie Zhan, forcefully bending her arm, "Big brother, look!"

Xie Dabao chuckled and pinched her arm. "Xiao Wu is amazing!"

Xiao Wu smiled smugly.

Xie Zhan's original plan to go to the hospital with his teacher turned into a family dinner because of Xu Yan and the others' arrival.

While eating, Xie Zhuo gave Xie Zhan a hotel membership card and, under Xie Dabao's questioning gaze, pointed to a dish on the table, saying, "Don't you like it? Come here often in the future."

"I'm just hungry," Xie Zhan pushed the card back, "I don't need it."

“You don’t need anything,” Xu Yan said, who had been putting food on his plate. Hearing this, she pinched his cheek. “You’ve gotten thinner. There’s no meat on your skin.”

Xie Zhan almost laughed.

He's such a grown man now, he's long past the stage of having baby fat.

Besides, Xie Zhuo gave him a card when school started, and with the money they gave him during holidays and birthdays, he couldn't possibly use it all.

There's no need for Uncle San to give me another membership card.

Just as he was about to refuse again, Xu Yan had already put the card in his pocket for him. "It's not a special card. Your third uncle invested in this hotel a while ago, so half of it belongs to our family. You can come and eat without the card and it will be fine."

Xie Zhan: "..."

After the family finished eating and drinking, they didn't go far. They strolled around the hotel garden and chatted for a while.

"Are you tired?" Xu Yan sat in the pavilion, looking at Xie Dabao's increasingly handsome features, and reached out to take the white coat that Xie Dabao had brought with him when he rushed downstairs.

"It's alright," Xie Zhan smiled. "I found it quite interesting, so I didn't feel tired at all."

“If you find it interesting, that’s fine,” Xie Zhuo continued. “So, do you plan to stay here after graduation, or go back to City B?”

“I haven’t thought that far ahead,” Xie Zhan said. “I still have two years until graduation. My teacher wants me to pursue further studies, but I plan to consider it next year. I have a lot of exams lately and I also go to the hospital occasionally, so I don’t have time to think about those things.”

"Hmm," Xie Zhu responded, and after a while, he sighed, "The little kid from back then has grown into a big kid in the blink of an eye. It's really a bit hard to let him go."

“What’s there to be reluctant about?” Xie Zhan smiled at him. “Third Uncle is still as handsome as ever. Time hasn’t left any marks on you and Third Aunt, especially Third Aunt. Today, my classmate thought she was a senior from some department.”

Xu Yan and Xie Zhuo took Xiao Wu to stay with Xie Dabao for a few days, and then drove to Xiao Bao's school.

Based on Xiao Bao's college entrance exam scores, staying in Beijing would have been better than going to a school in another city, but teenagers in their rebellious phase want to leave home and go solo.
