Chapter Ninety-Seven: Loki and Natasha's Battle of Tricks

Chapter 98 Loki and Natasha's Battle of Wits

On the vast and magnificent sea, countless waves surged, and the sky was covered with dark clouds, indicating that a storm was about to strike. In such terrible weather, a helicopter flew among them, like a drop in the ocean, heading towards an unknown destination.

"No abnormal signal detected. Please continue."

The announcer's voice came through the encrypted channel as usual, while the two soldiers sitting next to him continued to sit there without turning their heads.

When they first took over this route, they were often trembling with fear and dared not speak, but after so many missions, they became much more relaxed. After all, thanks to its tight surveillance facilities and meticulous planning, no one had ever escaped from the raft prison.

"Tony and the others have been locked up for almost two years now."

"Yes, it's already April 2012. They'll be able to come out in another month."

"By then, we'll be able to leave this place."

Two soldiers, machine guns in hand, exchanged wry smiles. For the sake of secrecy surrounding the raft prison, they hadn't been home for almost two years, and even their every phone call was being monitored.

Their time here is about to end, and what awaits them then will be a series of confidentiality regulations.

But what can they possibly reveal?

Putting aside the fact that the location of the raft prison is constantly changing, just the fact that it is located at sea means that no one can easily find it in the vast ocean without specific latitude and longitude coordinates.

Unbeknownst to them, a person clad in golden armor was following closely behind their helicopter at a distance. This person seemed invisible; no detection device could detect their presence.

If Gol were here, he would surely recognize this person as Loki, who had fallen into the abyss of space!

After following for a full fifteen minutes, the helicopter finally slowed down. The already turbulent sea was now churning with even more waves. Then, a huge cylindrical steel structure slowly rose up. A moment later, the top of the cylindrical steel structure opened up, and the helicopter landed gently on it.

After the soldiers handed large boxes to the robot, they took the large boxes from the robot, and then the helicopter took off again, heading back in the original direction.

The raft prison was closed again and slowly sank to the bottom of the sea.

Loki followed the robots carrying goods, slowly walking into the prison, observing his surroundings. After a moment, he looked at the woman in front of him wearing a strange steel collar and smiled slowly.

“Natasha Romanov?” Loki looked at the red-haired woman in front of him, a wicked smile playing on his lips, and said slowly.

Natasha, who was sitting on the wooden bed, slowly stood up and looked at the man who had suddenly appeared in the raft prison. This was the raft prison; apart from the robots and the prisoners, there were no other living people here!

Natasha frowned slightly, carefully observing the man before her: he wore complex armor in shades of dark blue and gold, the gold clearly being the color of pure gold. In his hand he held a golden scepter with a sharp, curved head, and at the very center of the curved head was a gem that shimmered with blue light.

For some reason, Natasha was reminded of the gem in the cosmic magic she had seen countless times.

“Loki?” Natasha said slowly, as if she had finally remembered. At the same time, her eyes turned towards the camera.

Loki noticed Natasha's gaze but ignored it. Before the Mind Stone, these cameras, from the moment he stepped into the raft prison, appeared as an illusion he had created.

Loki raised an eyebrow slightly, stopped in front of Natasha, looked directly into her eyes, and tilted his head: "If I remember correctly, you shouldn't know me. Perhaps, Gol has come to see you?"

Natasha remained silent, only looking at Loki with a grave expression: "Why are you here, Loki?"

“I think you’ve already guessed it, haven’t you?” Loki, holding the golden scepter carrying the Mind Stone, flashed into the glass cell where Natasha was imprisoned.

Natasha took a small step back, her face showing some fear.

Loki seemed to enjoy seeing Natasha's expression, and smiled slightly, "Natasha Romanoff, born in 1984, received training in killing in the Red Room from a young age. From the moment she accepted her mission, she lived up to the title of Black Widow, with countless lives on her hands. But why, after being recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D., were you not imprisoned in this jail, but instead willingly went to jail just because of this one incident?"

"Click".

The more Natasha listened, the more pained she became. She involuntarily backed away, and after a moment, her legs hit the edge of the bed, causing her to fall down onto it.

“I thought that after joining S.H.I.E.L.D., I could pay off these blood debts,” Natasha said, her eyes lowered and swallowing hard.

Loki slowly approached, the Mind Stone on his scepter emitting a hazy light: "Is it alright? Are you sure you can pay it back?"

Natasha was startled and looked up at Loki, her eyes filled with suppressed pleading, and her breathing became much heavier.

"Drekov's daughter..."

"The São Paulo...hospital fire?"

"The castle bombing case..."

"..."

With each word Loki spoke, Natasha's pain deepened. She shook her head in agony, pleading with Loki, "Stop talking! You came here to kill us, didn't you? Please, at least give me a quick death!"
