Peter's tears immediately streamed down his face. His legs went weak as he walked to Uncle Ben's side, knelt down, and hurriedly asked Ger, "How is Uncle Ben? He'll be alright, won't he?"
Gel turned around instantly, glaring at Peter: "Shut up! I'm saving Uncle Ben right now!"
Peter looked at Ger and seemed to realize something. He dared not speak anymore and just squatted to one side, tears streaming down his face.
Gel closed his eyes, sensing his uncle's physical condition through magical energy, while simultaneously controlling it to heal him. Unfortunately, healing is more difficult than destruction, and with his current abilities, he couldn't heal quickly. He could only distract himself by controlling the magical energy to prevent further bleeding while slowly healing the wounds.
The ambulance arrived quickly, and Gel handed Uncle Ben over to the medical staff, but remained in the ambulance, still using magic to protect Uncle Ben's wounds.
Fortunately, after emergency treatment, Uncle Ben was rescued without serious injury. As long as he safely gets through the two-day critical period, he will be fine.
At Gel's house, a still-shaken Peter, tears streaming down his face, sobbed to Gel about his fear and worry: "That thief who hurt Uncle Ben, I saw him steal the money... Tell me, if I had stopped him then, Uncle Ben wouldn't be in this mess... It's all my fault, if only I had..."
Peter was completely oblivious to Pietro and Wanda's discomfiture. Even though several hours had passed, he was still trembling with fear. He had almost lost his beloved Uncle Ben.
“I know you’re worried and scared, but Aunt May is still in the hospital. We need to get a good night’s sleep, recharge, and then go and relieve her.” Peter nodded, wiped away his tears, and forced himself to stand up.
Gel sighed helplessly, "Just sleep here. We'll go change Aunt May together later."
As he spoke, Gel used mind magic on Peter: "Don't resist, it will make it easier for you to fall asleep."
Peter nodded and, with Ger's help, quickly fell asleep.
The three of them, including Ger, understood the whole story. Everyone remained silent for a while. After a while, Ger waved to the other two and said, "You two go to sleep first. You have school tomorrow. As for Uncle Ben, Peter and I will take care of him."
The three of them went back to their rooms, but they all tossed and turned for a long time before finally falling asleep.
Two weeks later.
Nighttime, in an unnamed alley in Queens.
"Hand over your car keys and all your money!" Several masked robbers surrounded a thin man in a suit and shouted threats.
The man in the suit looked at the several burly men and knew he had no chance of resisting, so he despairingly handed over his car keys and briefcase.
That's my brand new car!
Having obtained what he wanted, the masked robber smugly approached the man, took out a rope, and intended to tie him up first.
"I've already given you what you wanted, what else do you want?" The thin man in the suit looked terrified and couldn't help but shout, "Help!"
The robber punched him, knocking him to the ground: "What are you yelling about? Someone will come by tomorrow and save you. Right now, we only care about money, not your life, but if you keep yelling, things might get complicated."
Seeing the dagger in the hand of the robber next to him, the man in the suit dared not shout anymore and could only watch helplessly as the men tied his hands and feet.
He knew that by the time he called the police tomorrow, his new car would have already been sold off.
Just as the man in the suit was becoming increasingly desperate, a somewhat mocking voice came from above: "Hello, do you need any help? This is your good neighbor Spider-Man and the Wizard in White."
The man in the suit instinctively looked up, only to gape in astonishment: a man in a red and blue bodysuit sat leisurely on the roof, the most striking feature being a large spider pattern on his chest. Another man wore a white robe with a blue sash around his waist, his face covered except for his eyes. His attire resembled both a mysterious Eastern knight-errant and a mystical wizard from a Western film. Most terrifyingly, this white-robed wizard was floating in mid-air!
The Spider-Man on the roof and the white-robed wizard in the sky are, of course, Peter and Gail.
A few days ago, after Uncle Ben recovered from his injuries and was discharged from the hospital, Peter, who had already caught the thief and sent him to the police station, secretly resolved to truly live up to the saying "with great power comes great responsibility." He then pulled Ger along to design their own battle suit.
Geer prefers white, so he didn't hesitate to choose white as the main color when designing the battle suit.
Based on his white robes and his sister's nickname "Scarlet Witch," Gol rejected Peter's vulgar nicknames such as "Spider-Man 2" and "Flying Man," and chose a name for himself—the White Wizard.
