They didn't even pay attention to the towering explosions and flames that followed.
Swaying gracefully between the tall buildings on his spiderwebs, Peter approached the direction of the Gert family's house. But for some reason, a certain consciousness seemed to be urging Peter not to go looking for Gert.
This feeling grew so strong that Peter stopped moving forward and stood on the high-rise building to think.
The clouds in the sky, reddened by smoke, slowly drifted toward the moon, and after a moment they obscured the moonlight, leaving only a somewhat bewildered figure on the high rooftop.
Soon, Peter heard a noisy sound around him, a sound that included people shouting happily, beer bottles clattering, music booming, and even the rhythmic sound of shoes hitting the ground. It seemed to carry a strange temptation, making it impossible for Peter to calm down and think.
Peter couldn't help but look in the direction of the sound, only to find that it was coming from a bar. Many stylishly dressed young people were going in and singing loudly, while many drunk young people were walking out, laughing and embracing each other.
As if by some strange twist of fate, Peter "borrowed" a set of clothes from a house and went into the bar.
In the S.H.I.E.L.D. office, Gail chatted with Director Nick for a while, but unable to contain his suspicions, he made an excuse to leave.
There was nothing else that needed Ger's help, so Director Nick quickly let him go.
After opening a portal to his home, Ger immediately called Peter, but Peter did not answer.
Although reason told Gerr that this matter should have nothing to do with Peter, doubts still lingered in Gerr's mind: why was Pierce's villa bombed tonight of all times?
This made Gert want to find Peter immediately and ask him what was going on.
Just then, Gwen called, and Gwen answered the phone immediately.
"Ger, has Peter been through something?" On the other end of the phone, Gwen's tone was incredulous, a little angry, and even full of panic.
These emotions were so complex that Gwen couldn't understand what had happened to make her speak in that tone.
Ger instinctively sensed something was wrong and asked, "Where are you?"
“I’m in the school lab,” Gwen’s voice came from the other end of the phone.
Gore pressed on, "Are there any other people in the lab right now?"
Gwen shook her head and replied, "I'm all alone now; everyone else has gone back."
The next moment, a portal opened beside Gwen, and Gor walked in.
Gwen already knew that Gel was the White Wizard, so she wasn't surprised by his arrival. She simply hung up the phone, did a few things, and then handed the phone to Gel.
Gwen took the phone with a bewildered expression, and the more he looked at it, the more shocked he became. Finally, he stared at Gwen in disbelief.
Even though Gwen was on the verge of tears, seeing Gel's expression made her burst out laughing instead of crying—it was truly rare to see such an expression on Gel's face.
At the very least, it was the first time she had met him.
It's no wonder Gerr lost his composure; the video he saw on his phone was simply too shocking: in a brightly lit, noisy atmosphere, a teenager dressed in baggy hip-hop clothes was dancing on a table to music. His left arm was around a tattooed young woman in a crop top, and his right hand held a wine glass. He brought his lips to the lips of a sexy young woman on his right, and after they kissed, the teenager turned to the tattooed girl on his left, and the two kissed again.
In just twenty seconds of video, this boy kissed a total of eight girls!
Most importantly, this boy is Peter.
The Peter from Peter Parker.
If it weren't for the fact that the boy's face was clearly Peter's, Ger would have suspected that it wasn't Peter at all, but someone who looked like Peter.
Is being Spider-Man really that stressful? Is it driving Peter crazy? This absurd question couldn't help but flash through Gel's mind.
"Is this really Peter Parker?" Gel thought it was more bizarre than seeing a video of Mars colliding with Earth.
In Gel's memory, Peter was the kind of person who would get shy even after saying a few words to a girl, so his progress with Gwen was extremely slow. If it weren't for Gel and Harry's encouragement, the two would probably still be in the ambiguous stage.
No wonder that the moment Gwen saw the video, instead of getting angry and confronting Peter, she immediately asked Gel if Peter had been traumatized.
Gwen didn't know whether to laugh or cry: "I don't know either. Elsa took this for me at the bar. You know she's a regular at bars."
Ger nodded unconsciously: "Shall we go take a look?"
Even after seeing the video with his own eyes, Gel couldn't believe that the person in it was Peter. It was as unbelievable to Gel as if Aunt May suddenly transformed into Natasha and was going to bomb Kamar-Taj.
Following the address found online, the two quickly drove towards the bar.
The constantly flashing lights, the intensely changing rhythms of the music, the people dancing along, and the spilled liquor everywhere—just walking around, Gwen and Ger could see alluring women and young, crazy men laughing uncontrollably everywhere.
Pushing through the crowd, Gwin and Gerald finally spotted the "hip-hop kid" who was standing on a table dancing.
At this moment, the "hip-hop boy" was dancing wildly, just like in the video. He had his arm around a girl who hadn't appeared in the video before, and his face and neck were visibly covered in lipstick marks.
