Chapter 127 Yondu's Fleet's Last Stand
"Damn it, they've surrounded the entire area!" Quillon cursed under his breath, gritting his teeth as he looked at the swarm of spaceships approaching from outside.
At this moment, there were not only countless small spaceships, but also four spaceships even larger than the large spaceship they were currently aboard! Moreover, they had just shaken off not only the Monarch's fleet in the asteroid belt, but also Yondu's own escort fleet. Now, Yondu's only remaining ship was theirs!
"boom!"
"boom!"
"boom!"
Countless projectiles were sprayed at their spaceship as if they were free, causing the entire ship to shake violently in mid-air, and Yondu and his group all involuntarily fell to the ground!
Meanwhile, alarming alarms blared inside the spaceship, and the already weakened defensive shield was quickly depleted.
"Quill!" Yondu slammed his hands on the ground, trying to grab onto anything he could, and shouted at Quill in the control room.
"Launch a desperate attack!" Quill heard Yondu's shout in his ear, his eyes immediately hardening as he pressed a red button beside him.
Instantly, countless astonishing red rays shot out from the perimeter of the spaceship, centered on it, and simultaneously, ten red rays, a hundred times thicker, also shot out.
"Bang! Bang! Bang..."
All the small spaceships on Monarch that were hit by the red rays were instantly sliced in half; only the large spaceships were able to withstand the cutting effect of these finer red rays.
"You bastards, die!"
Quill looked at the four large spaceships outside, cursed, and at the same time controlled the ten thick red rays to sweep towards the four large spaceships.
"Sizzle!"
The red ray collided with the energy defense shields surrounding the large spaceships, producing a deafening sound. But in just a moment, the energy defense shields of the four large spaceships were breached and dismembered into several pieces!
The group of destroyers lying on the ground looked at the scene of their "great victory" outside, but their faces did not show any joy. Instead, their expressions became more and more desperate.
In the control room of Monarch Star, High Priestess Ayesha looked at the machine below that was turning red, then glanced at the scene on the screen. She slammed her hand on the railing in front of her, her anger burning as she exclaimed, "These damned, lowly vagrants have actually installed forbidden weapons on their own spaceship!"
“They are a bunch of lawless space pirates, you don’t need to get upset about it,” the general next to him immediately comforted him. “However, we still have many ships. Even if we wait until their stored energy runs out, it’s impossible for them to destroy all of our ships.”
High Priestess Ayesha's face immediately revealed a proud yet cruel smile: "Then wait until their energy is exhausted, and then completely annihilate them."
On the large screen in the control room, bursts of sparks appeared in the void, like the dazzling moment when fireworks burned in the sky. But the high priest and the general's smiles grew wider, because they knew that Yondu and his group would soon be wiped out.
Yondu's spaceship had stabilized considerably by this point.
Yondu slowly stood up and walked to Quill. All his hard shell vanished in the face of this life-or-death crisis, leaving only a final tenderness in his eyes: "Quill, you've done your best. Also, keeping you by my side when I was little was the best decision I ever made."
Quill's usual stubbornness disappeared, and he looked up at Yondu and smiled: "Old man, you've let me off the hook so many times. I know you've been really good to me since I was a kid."
The henchmen beside him laughed loudly, "We used to resent our boss too, but we've let you go so many times. If it were anyone else, they would have died a thousand times over. So compared to that, we underlings are practically nothing! But it doesn't matter, we're all going to die together today!"
Gamora walked to Quill's other side. Faced with a life-or-death crisis, she finally put aside her usual pride and placed her hand in Quill's hand.
Quill took Gamora's hand and looked at her with deep affection.
Drax the Destroyer also began to laugh, but compared to the others' wry smiles, his laughter was much more genuine: "I'm finally going to die, to go see my lady."
Rocket Raccoon looked at the group of lunatics, shook his head, and then plopped down on the ground: "It's really not worth dying with these lunatics."
Groot slowly sat down beside him and said, "I am Groot."
The two snuggled together, adding a touch of warmth to the space.
In this scene, Ger shook his head slightly and sighed—he originally didn't want to get involved, but now the plot had clearly deviated from its original course, so whether he intervened or not didn't make much difference.
Since that's the case, let's get involved.
Gel glanced ahead and saw a rare, heartwarming scene among them. Gel gently waved his hands, and chaotic energy instantly pierced through layers of distance, appearing on all the small spaceships of Monarch Star around them.
Then, the mutation began.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
The small spaceships all turned around, pointing their weapons at the enemy. The chilling weapons gradually charged, and they used their most powerful weapons directly.
"What happened?"
On the control room of Monarch Star, a ripple of digital turbulence flashed across the machine, and all the Sovereigns operating the machine stared in shock at the machine beneath them. Their small spaceship had not crashed and the machine had not turned red, yet they were unable to continue controlling it.
