Chapter 126 Yondu's Fleet's Last Stand

"General, what's going on?" High Priestess Ayesha looked at the scene displayed on the big screen, her arrogant expression gone, and asked the general angrily.

The general stared blankly at the large screen and the turbulent numbers on the machines below, then shook his head: "High Priest, this means our technological hub has been attacked. However, unless a country directly attacks our technological hub, we won't encounter this situation. Moreover, our defensive walls have been completely ineffective."

Immediately afterwards, all the Sovereigns looked at the big screen, and they instantly became furious.

Damn it!

"How could this be!"

"Shit!"

On the large screen, all the fully charged small spaceships launched their attacks simultaneously, and astonishing explosions rang out at the same time, with intense flames turning the entire space a fiery red.

Yondu's spaceship was instantly engulfed in flames, forcing everyone to close their eyes immediately, their faces already showing even more despair.

Is this how I'm going to face death?

"Gamora, I love you."

Quill, I love you.

"I am Groot."

"..."

Countless shouts echoed throughout the spaceship, everyone terrified of their impending death, but after a moment, someone finally couldn't help but open their eyes.

What's going on?

The questioning voices finally made everyone slowly open their eyes. Then, half in surprise and half in delight, they discovered that although their spaceship was damaged, it had not been dismantled and was still carrying them slowly away into the distance.

"It seems that all the spaceships from Monarch are gone." After their spaceship left the area they had just left, the flames in the sky gradually died down, and then they were surprised to find that there were no more Monarch spaceships around them.

"Quail, use the sky radar to search." Yondu was equally surprised, but he still gave the order to Quail.

Quill's fingers immediately began to operate on the buttons beside him, but after a moment, Quill looked at the graphics on the screen and hesitated, saying, "There are indeed no more Monarch Star ships."

It should have been a scene of joy, but the group looked at each other blankly, and no one cheered. In this age of advanced technology, how did they manage to escape from being surrounded by so many spaceships?

And the enemy was completely wiped out?

"Never mind, since we've survived, it must be the will of the gods! Rejoice, destroyers, we'll see the sunlight again tomorrow!" Yondu's words instantly made everyone around him cheer.

Amidst the cheers and jubilation, only Gamora glanced at Gale in the distance.

After a brief moment of cheering, Quill immediately called Yondu over: "Our energy was almost completely depleted just now. The little energy we have left can only keep our ship flying for another half hour."

Yondu looked out the window, and after a moment, resolutely said to Quill, "Let's go back to the Land of No Knowledge!"

"What are you thinking about?" Quill looked at Yondu intently and asked.

Yondu, a confident yet arrogant smile on his face, glanced at his underlings looking around and shouted, "We destroyed quite a few of our ships today, so we're going to pull off a big heist. I plan to sell off what we looted earlier at Wucunzhi, then buy a new batch of ships. After that, we'll go with Xandar to rob Ronan of his stuff! Anyone have any objections?"

The henchmen around him immediately burst into laughter: "No objections!"

"We've all been given a second chance at life, let's pull off another big one!"

"If you're going to survive, you have to make a lot of money!"

"Silence!" Yondu shouted at the surroundings, and instantly, the area fell silent again. "Moreover, since the people from Monarch Star have come, it means we have something here that belongs to them. So tell me, what is it that would make them send so many fleets to hunt us down?"

The henchmen around him were somewhat bewildered, with only a few appearing thoughtful.

A moment later, Gamora's magnetic voice broke the silence of the space: "The ultimate commodity of Monarch is their ultra-high-energy batteries. These ultra-high-energy batteries are something that the rulers of every planet like. However, their shape is inconspicuous, resembling a battery the size of a thumb."

Yondu's henchmen's eyes lit up immediately.

"Hurry up and go find it!" After Yondu's voice fell, everyone on the spaceship excitedly began to run to the place where the cargo had been stored, searching for the so-called ultra-high energy battery.

Suddenly, the spaceship began to make a racket. The large spaceship then changed direction and began flying back towards the unknown.

"You can take over now." Quill got up from the control seat and handed it back to the previous operator.

Yondu, with a smile, looked at Quill, who had stood up. However, Quill's expression held a hint of worry. Yondu was slightly taken aback and asked, "What's wrong with your expression?"

Gamora, standing next to Quill, had the same expression.

Quill chuckled to himself, "I was thinking, we've already wasted quite a bit of time. If this continues, we might not catch up with Ronan's fleet at all. Perhaps by the time we reach Xandar, Ronan will be..."

Although Quill didn't finish speaking, Yondu already understood what Quill meant. After thinking for a moment, Yondu patted Quill on the shoulder: "In that case, let's play it by ear. If we really can't make it in time, then we'll do as you said and send the message to Xandar in advance so they can prepare."
