Clusters of crimson flames, radiating astonishing heat, floated around Peter, like dark flames blooming in hell, possessing a terrifying and eerie beauty.
The intense heat emanating from the flames made the surrounding air appear somewhat ethereal, and all the objects around were enveloped in a faint layer of chaotic energy, which prevented them from being ignited by the flames.
Only the table beneath Peter's feet was unprotected and was burning fiercely at a visible speed.
"What are you talking about, Ger? I am Peter." Peter, who was in the center of the flames, quickly kicked the table under his feet away, but under the control of chaos magic, he was still suspended in mid-air.
Peter blinked at Ger, seemingly completely bewildered as to why Ger was treating him this way.
But if you look closely, you'll notice that Peter's black suit is trembling slightly, as if he's terrified of the scorching flames beside him.
"Sizzle."
The stool Peter kicked away burned to ashes upon contact with the flames. Peter, catching a glimpse of this out of the corner of his eye, couldn't help but tremble, a look of panic flashing in his eyes.
Gwen noticed Peter's unusual behavior. Although she was very worried, she forced herself to continue watching—she believed that Gel wouldn't harm Peter.
"Judging from your expression, you seem to be very afraid of fire. I wonder what would happen if these flames got any closer?" As he spoke, Ger shook his wrist again, and the flames floating around Peter moved slightly closer to the center, only a step away from Peter.
The heat, enough to instantly dehydrate an ordinary person to death, caused the black spider suit inside to lose control and detach from Peter's body, flitting about. However, Peter was completely enveloped in dense flames, leaving him nowhere to escape.
Gwen stared at the black parasites wriggling all over Peter's body, her pupils contracting slightly as she asked in shock, "What is this?"
She knew Peter was behaving strangely, but she never imagined he would have these black "creeping worms" on him. Could it be that Peter's abnormal behavior was caused by these jumping black "creeping worms"?
Moreover, with her limited knowledge, she couldn't even recognize what this black "crawler" was.
"If you won't listen to reason, you'll have to suffer the consequences." Ger sneered, then flicked his fingers, and instantly the flames moved closer to Peter.
Gel coldly looked at the black parasite and said, "I know you are intelligent, and you should have already read our language from Peter, so hurry up and show yourself, don't test my patience."
Seemingly realizing there was no way to hide, the black parasite instantly turned into a large puddle of liquid, completely enveloping Peter's body, leaving only Peter's head exposed to the air.
In the bright flames, Gwen could clearly see the appearance of the black monster and gasped in shock—the black monster's head stood next to Peter's head, looking a full size larger than Peter's head, and its black body was like whale skin, appearing shiny and oily.
At this point, Gwen made a very certain conclusion: he was definitely not a creature from Earth.
Seemingly sensing a threat, the black monster opened its terrifyingly large mouth, stuck out its long tongue, and made a threatening expression towards Gel and Gwen.
But soon he saw the flames encircling him, and he immediately withdrew his tongue. After a moment, he timidly said, "I meant no harm, and I did not hurt Peter."
Looking at his form, Ger finally confirmed that the black parasite possessing Peter was the venom that could amplify the host's personality and abilities, or to some extent control the host's mind!
After confirming it, Geer's expression grew even colder: "No malice? Then why influence his mind and make him do what he did today?"
Venom glanced at the flames beside him, then slowly withdrew his ability to control his mind.
Finally, Peter's eyes slowly regained their clarity.
Looking at the venom covering his body, and reflecting on his previous actions, he couldn't help but clutch his head, saying, "Ah, how could I have done so many stupid things?"
Seeing Peter's reaction, Venom's dark face immediately showed an embarrassed expression.
With a pained expression, Peter looked at Gwen and explained, "Gwen, I'm sorry, I don't know what happened to me just now."
Then Peter looked at Gel: "I got carried away last night and chased after Pierce, and then their house got bombed. I think I messed things up."
Peter had all the memories from that period, and he didn't even realize anything was wrong at the time. It wasn't until the effects of the venom wore off that Peter finally realized how many stupid things he had done.
At this point, Peter no longer cared about the fact that Venom possessed consciousness.
Only then did Gel realize that the bombing of Pierce's house that night was indeed related to Peter, and he immediately squinted at Venom.
Venom met Gale's gaze, and then looked at Peter's reaction. He immediately lowered his head guiltily, looking even a little pitiful: "I've just been quiet for too long, and I couldn't resist going out to have some fun."
Gel took a deep breath, and couldn't help but start to worry about how to handle the situation. After all, Pierce's house had been bombed, and if it triggered other chain reactions, things would probably be even worse.
But there is no doubt that Gol's prophetic advantage has diminished once again.
Thinking about this, Gertrude's headache worsened: "Whatever your reason, get away from Peter right now!"
Venom immediately shook his head, but the more he moved, the closer certain parts of his body got to the flames. With a hiss, Venom's skin quickly contracted from the intense heat, and feeling the pain, Venom began to grimace and cry out in agony: "It hurts, it hurts so much."
