Gel patted Harry and Peter on the shoulder, and after a moment, opened a portal, which he and Natasha then stepped inside.
In April, the beach is full of people basking in the sun. Some lie under parasols, applying sunscreen to each other, while others run on the sand with friends or lovers, filling the air with laughter.
No one noticed that Natasha and Gel had appeared on the beach.
"How did you suddenly end up here? Weren't you going to S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Natasha asked, glancing at Gale with a mischievous smile.
Gel looked at her helplessly and sighed, "Stop teasing me. Didn't you have something you wanted to ask me privately?"
Gel turned around and walked slowly along the beach, with Natasha beside him. The two walked side by side, but it was as if they were floating in mid-air, and their feet left no trace on the sand.
"You're not as confident as you say. What are you worried about?" Natasha walked slowly, her expression calm yet serious.
A child ran towards the two of them, but just before hitting them, the child ran away without noticing anything amiss.
“I’ve read a lot about the people and things in outer space in Asgardian spellbooks, but I’ve never actually witnessed them myself. So, even with the Reality Stone, I can’t help but feel a little worried. After all, I’m only human,” Gel sighed and said slowly.
He spoke from the heart, and Natasha couldn't say much, so she could only nod: "Ever since you fell into a coma a year ago, Wanda suddenly seemed to have grown up, studying magic with even more effort than before. Pietro and Peter are the same. And Tony, although he doesn't say it, I know that he's been upgrading his Iron Man suit day and night because he wants to help you."
Natasha's gaze fell on Ger's face, softening his heart even more: "Ger, we are all your family and friends. We all hope that one day we can help you, instead of being a burden to you. We would be even happier if you occasionally relied on us. So, if you can, please trust us this once."
Natasha's words were resounding, like the echoes of bells reverberating in an empty valley, resonating deep within Ger's heart.
After a moment, Ger suddenly smiled, looked at Natasha, and slowly said, "Thank you."
Over the years, he has shouldered too much responsibility, but in the original story, even without him, these people still did a great job.
“I’ll arrange some things for my friends; I can’t be the only one busy while you’re all idle,” Ger said with a smile.
On the beach, waves would occasionally crash against the shore, but they would automatically retreat when they reached where Ger was, as if they were afraid of him.
A moment later, Natasha smiled, her already stunningly beautiful face now radiating an even more captivating glow: "Then Tony and I are really looking forward to the mission you're talking about."
Gel slowly shook his head, feeling an involuntary sense of helplessness at Natasha's ability to manipulate people's hearts. It seemed to be Natasha's innate ability, able to unconsciously enlighten a person, just as she could quickly obtain information from anyone.
He concealed his emotions very well, and Wanda and the others were completely fooled as well, but he couldn't fool Natasha. In fact, while being tricked into revealing her true feelings, she was also given some words of comfort.
The gentle spring sunshine reflected softly on the sea, making the water shimmer and sparkle. The two walked along the beach, chatting. After some time, Gale's mood gradually improved, and then the two went to S.H.I.E.L.D.
They talked for several more hours at S.H.I.E.L.D., and then, as the sun was about to set, Nick and Gail's conversation finally ended.
Ger opened another spatial portal, one that Ger usually opened, but this time, Ger's mood was slightly different.
The sunset in New York coincides with the dawn at Kamar-Taj. The magnificent morning light bursts forth from the clouds, a breathtaking spectacle. Even after seeing it countless times, this beauty remains awe-inspiring.
Ger appeared in his room, which remained spotless even after a year's absence, suggesting he had been frequently disturbed.
"squeak."
Another clear sound rang out, and a somewhat thin boy entered. If you looked closely, you could see that his legs were not very flexible.
As he was preparing to clean as usual, he discovered that there was a person in the room, which had been empty for a long time.
"Hello, I..." The boy's face still had a youthful air about him. He looked at Geer in front of him with a flushed face, wanting to say something, but he was so nervous that he couldn't say a word.
He stood there helplessly, unsure whether to go forward or retreat.
"It's alright, I'm leaving soon." Geer looked at the cleaning supplies in his hands, a warm smile on his face. "Are you new here?"
The boy nodded, looking at Gel cautiously—although he had only been there for six months, many people had heard the story of the room's owner. It was said that when he first arrived in Kamar-Taj, unlike all other sorcerers, he hadn't lost any limbs or suffered any accidents.
Then, he directly sent Casillas, the most arrogant and talented disciple of Kamar-Taj at the time, to be reformed. Now, Casillas has returned, and he doesn't look arrogant at all as people described him. On the contrary, he is very gentle and polite.
Moreover, he had heard from others that this person might be the legendary white-robed wizard. But is this what a white-robed wizard looks like? He doesn't seem much different from ordinary people, at most... a little more handsome. He had imagined someone who would glow and exude majesty, but unexpectedly, he seemed quite approachable.
