When Peter opened his eyes in the early morning, he felt that he had slept incredibly soundly, even better than when he usually woke up.
Peter walked to the wardrobe, looked at the black spider suit inside, and the black crawling insects still wriggling in the glass bottle. After hesitating for a moment, he picked up the glass bottle and put it in his backpack.
Upon arriving at school, Peter did not go to the classroom but instead headed straight for the laboratory.
"Hi Peter, it's been a long time."
"Did you watch those videos from yesterday?"
"That white-robed wizard is amazing! Have you joined his fan club yet?"
"..."
Along the way, Peter ran into several classmates he knew. Instead of responding warmly to his classmates, Peter felt extremely annoyed by the constant greetings on the street, as if something had upset him.
Later, when Peter encountered classmates who greeted him, he would simply walk past them with a cold face, without giving them any response. This behavior left the classmates completely confused, wondering what they had said wrong.
Upon arriving at the laboratory, Peter handed the sealed glass bottle to Dr. Moen.
Of course, he simply said that it was a creature he had inexplicably discovered, which had parasitized him and increased his power for some reason.
Dr. Moen examined the black "reptile" with various instruments for a while, then said with a look of astonishment, "This creature does not belong to any species discovered in the world today. Even if its body is only divided into two parts, each part will be active and has a tendency to generate independent consciousness. If the two parts are put back together within a certain period of time, the creature will still be perfectly reunited. Based on what you said, I studied it and found that it does indeed have the characteristics of a parasite."
"This parasite has consciousness?" Peter frowned as he looked at the constantly writhing black parasite and asked.
At this moment, the black parasite was moving towards Peter from under the microscope. Soon it was next to Peter. For some reason, Peter also felt an urge to get closer to the parasite, but he suppressed the urge and immediately picked up a glass from the side and covered it.
“It seems to like you.” Dr. Moen smiled as he looked at the black parasite still struggling in the glass, trying to get closer to Peter. “The existence of consciousness needs to be judged from multiple perspectives and cannot be equated with intelligence. I will keep this parasite with me for now and continue my research. In the meantime, you must not let this thing parasitize you again.”
Peter looked up at Dr. Moen, somewhat puzzled: "Why not?"
Thinking about the surge in power he experienced during the time he was possessed by the black parasite, he subconsciously felt resentful.
“Sometimes the effects of a parasite are multifaceted, and it can gradually create a dependence on the host. If this parasite causes many negative effects that we are not yet aware of, it will be difficult to get rid of it when you want to,” Dr. Moen explained, then asked Peter, “You didn’t keep a sample of it, did you?”
For some reason, Peter lied: "No, this is the whole sample."
Peter walked around the campus somewhat lost, ignoring the greetings from others as he continued walking.
After some time, he came to his senses and wanted to go to the classroom to find Ger and Harry to see if they could give him some good advice.
Peter, who was walking down the street, suddenly saw Gel and immediately greeted him from a distance: "Gel."
As Ger was walking on campus deep in thought, he was interrupted by Peter's greeting. Ger smiled at Peter and said, "Hi, Peter."
After finishing up with Casillas's affairs, Ger returned to the Imperial Public University, which he hadn't visited in a long time. For Ger, everything was full of troubles at the moment, and the campus was where he could calm down and think things through.
At this point, his only concerns were how to naturally expose the true nature of former S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Pierce and how to uncover more information about Hydra personnel.
After class, the campus is filled with boys and girls full of youthful energy. Some sit quietly reading books, while others are working hard on the playground.
"What's on your mind?" Peter asked, swallowing back the words he was about to say about the black parasite, as he looked at Gel's furrowed brows.
Looking at Peter, Gel decided to be honest and pulled him to a slightly secluded spot: "Here's the thing, last night when Tony and I were investigating Banner's blood, we stumbled upon a clue: the person who stole the Hulk's blood came from S.H.I.E.L.D."
Peter was the most discreet, so Gert wasn't worried that Peter would tell anyone.
Peter frowned slightly, somewhat puzzled: "Then why didn't Natasha know?"
Gel didn't answer the question, but continued, "Later, I secretly went to S.H.I.E.L.D. to investigate and found that former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Alexander Pierce was actually a Hydra agent."
This part was made up by Gel, since he couldn't explain how he knew Pierce was a Hydra agent.
Peter's pupils contracted slightly as he looked at Gel in shock: "Wasn't Hydra destroyed by Captain America?"
From childhood to adulthood, he has heard countless stories about Captain America, and he has even visited the Captain America Memorial Museum several times.
“Yes, but from Pierce’s conversations with others, I learned that S.H.I.E.L.D. has been infiltrated by Hydra, and many of its personnel are Hydra agents, but I don’t know exactly who they are.” Gel explained the dilemma he was facing.
