Peter thought for a moment and offered a suggestion: "Don't you have mind magic? Why don't you just control Pierce and make him reveal the Hydra list?"
Gel shook his head: "My mind magic can control him, but I can't do it. First, my mind magic isn't that strong, and even if I control him, he'll still retain the memories of when he was controlled. Second, if I deal with so many S.H.I.E.L.D. agents at once, S.H.I.E.L.D. will be in big trouble. So I'm thinking if there's a way to have the best of both worlds."
Although Gale's chaos magic abilities have been enhanced in all aspects, it hasn't been strengthened by the Mind Stone, so mental magic isn't his strong suit. As Hydra's leader within S.H.I.E.L.D., Pierce's will is undoubtedly very strong, and Gale isn't confident he can control him without him noticing.
Peter had initially wanted to ask Gel why he hadn't told Natasha about it last night, but after thinking about it, he understood. After careful consideration, Peter suggested again, "In that case, let's prolong the process and spend more time tracking Pierce. After all, your chaos magic allows you to become invisible. Once we know who the Hydra agents are, everything will be much easier."
Gel had originally planned this strategy, but he didn't want to waste so much time on it. Now that he realized there was no other way, he had no choice but to accept it: "Okay, then I'll set aside some time later to follow up with Pierce."
With that, Ger stood up from the stool and patted Peter on the shoulder: "I'm going back to settle Banner and Betty in. What about you?"
Peter pointed to the classroom: "I'm going to class."
Ger walked around to a secluded corner, opened the portal to his home, and stepped inside.
“Brother.” Wanda was eating breakfast when she saw Gel return and immediately smiled.
When she saw the note left by Ger, she thought Ger was busy again and wouldn't be back for a long time. Unexpectedly, Ger came back at breakfast time.
"You're only having breakfast at this hour? Wanda, did you oversleep again?" Gel glanced at the clock on the wall and smiled.
Wanda stuck out her tongue sheepishly.
Then, Ger sat down opposite Banner and Betty, looking at the two of them and said, "I believe you are also quite anxious, so I will not beat around the bush. If you want to hide in a remote country and never come out, I can send you there. But the world ahead may be full of dangers, and even if you hide, you will inevitably get involved in conflicts."
Banner was clearly a smart man; after hearing Ger's words, he simply smiled and looked at him: "Are there any other options?"
“Tony and I are currently working on a new project, and with your abilities, you could be a great help. You and Betty can usually live in other countries, but if you'd like to join our research, I can bring you over anytime via a portal. Furthermore, Wanda and I can use mind magic to see if we can help you merge your consciousness with the Hulk's.” Gail had reviewed Banner's file; he had a whopping seven doctoral degrees!
Ger didn't want to waste such talent. After all, every second was extremely precious to Ger at this moment.
Furthermore, Banner's help was indispensable in the next step of researching how to add a magic circle to the steel and enable non-magicians to cast powerful spells through the magic circle.
As a science enthusiast, Banner had no desire to continue living in seclusion in this remote country. Most importantly, he couldn't refuse Ger's offer to help him merge with the Hulk's consciousness. But Banner still looked to Betty for her opinion.
Betty glanced at Banner, and when she saw his expression, she easily understood what he was thinking. With a light laugh, Betty said to Gel, "I have no objection, and don't underestimate me; academically, I'm no less capable than Banner."
Then Gel remembered that Betty was a professor at Culver University, so he slapped his forehead and said, "Of course you're welcome. From now on, let's work together happily?"
"It's a pleasure working with you." Banner and Betty smiled at each other—from now on, they would no longer have to live on the run.
After dinner, Gol took Wanda, Banner, and Betty to the Arctic to try to use mind magic to help them merge with the Hulk.
As the day went by, Gol found that neither Chief Nick nor Natasha had asked him about the whereabouts of the Hulk, She-Hulk, or Abomination, so he was happy to have some peace and quiet.
Night fell again, and the moonlight poured down like water, spreading across the vast ground and faintly illuminating the houses through the windows of each household.
When Peter got home from school, he went straight to the wardrobe.
“Tracking Pierce seems like quite a challenge.” Peter suddenly smiled, but looking at the red and blue suit hanging on the wardrobe and the black suit in the sealed glass box, Peter hesitated.
Moonlight streamed through the window onto the wardrobe, illuminating the left half of Peter's face, while the other half remained hidden in darkness. Suddenly, a horn blared outside, breaking the silence in the room.
Peter silently opened the glass case, took out the black suit inside, and put it on: "Tracking Pierce tonight is quite dangerous, so it's better to wear a black suit."
The muttered words he spoke seemed to be an attempt to convince himself.
With a leap, Peter jumped out of the window. Just before landing, Peter shot a web at the distant buildings, and then, using the web, Peter swung from the high-rise buildings toward S.H.I.E.L.D.
Peter quickly arrived near S.H.I.E.L.D. and stood on a high-rise building a few blocks away from the agency, looking down at it.
