"However, how did you find out about this? Director Nick would never tell you such inside information," Ger asked.
Tony glanced at his phone, his face full of smugness: "Actually, I was just bored, so I had Jarvis hack into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s servers and that's how I got this information."
Gol raised an eyebrow; this was exactly the kind of thing Tony Stark would do.
However, Gail had no way to deal with Ivan and Dr. Kurt who had been kidnapped, and could only hope that the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. could capture them in time.
As for Tony, he was just looking for a good show, which is why he came to tell me this news.
"By the way, I'm tied up here. If there's any movement from the Hulk's side, remember to help Pietro and Wanda control him." Gale's power upgrade has been going on for ten days now, and there's still no sign of it ending. Moreover, when upgrading with the Infinity Stones, the Infinity Stones take the lead, automatically sensing the level of chaos magic he can withstand to decide whether to continue supplying energy.
In other words, the Time Stone will only stop supplying energy once the chaos magic within Gale's body is saturated. During this time, Gale is completely trapped here and cannot even cut off the energy absorption.
Tony, however, adopted a condescending attitude: "What does the Hulk have to do with me? And if I remember correctly, this should be Natasha's responsibility."
Tony harbors a deep resentment towards this woman who has lied to him multiple times and whose evaluations of him are filled with his arrogant and conceited words.
Ger slapped his forehead, realizing he had forgotten about his grudge against Natasha.
Left with no other option, Ger had to resort to his trump card: "I'm learning a skill unique to magicians called a magic circle. If I master the relevant knowledge, I can use a magic circle to engrave magic onto weapons, so that others can release magic by inputting energy into the magic circle. This is a new research direction, and Uncle Norman said he can provide me with all the manpower and resources I need."
A few months ago, thanks to the Iron Man suits provided by Gel, and in conjunction with the related weapons that had already been researched to the later stages, Osborn Industries successfully developed new weapons, renewed the cooperation agreement with the government, and overcame the difficulties.
"Anything he offers, I can offer even better! Gore, you absolutely have to work with me on this thing called a magic circle." Tony immediately stood up from the old car, almost falling off in his excitement. If what Gore said was true, it meant he could even cast magic through the Iron Man suit—what an interesting and cutting-edge research direction that was!
After all, thanks to Gale's involvement over the past few months, his Iron Man suit has been improved in every way.
Even though Tony knew that Gail's offer to cooperate with Norman was a "threat," he immediately jumped into the trap himself: "You focus on your studies. If Pietro and Wanda run into trouble, I'll be there for them right away."
Before Tony could ask any more questions, Ger hung up the phone—after all, Ger only had a superficial understanding of magic circles, and if Tony asked too many questions, Ger would definitely give himself away.
Looking down at the Ancient One, who was still meditating with his eyes closed, Gel sighed softly.
The Hulk's overall strength is simply too overwhelming, and General Ross and his men's capture of Dr. Banner will inevitably force Dr. Banner to transform into the Hulk again. Gail doesn't believe General Ross and his soldiers can truly handle the Hulk; Natasha will still need to lead Peter and the others to take him down. With Tony involved in restraining the Hulk, Gail can feel more at ease.
Just as Gale was worried about the Hulk, a discussion that would determine Dr. Banner's fate was quietly unfolding at S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters.
Director Nick stood in the middle of the office, with Natasha standing beside him. Surrounding them were the images of eight members of the International Security Council projected using holographic projection technology.
"Director Nick, the Security Council has approved an agreement to assist General Ross in capturing the Hulk." A senator on the left, with his hands crossed in front of the table and leaning forward, informed Director Nick of the news. "The high-tech weapons that the research team has recently developed using cosmic magic need to be delivered in part to General Ross, and we will fully assist in capturing the Hulk."
"I'm sure you've all seen the combat footage of the Hulk. I wonder what your mental state was when you made this decision," Director Nick Fury said sarcastically, glancing around the room. "Gentlemen, did you establish S.H.I.E.L.D. just to mess around with?"
Under the holographic projection, the expressions of the eight senators remained unchanged, presumably because they had already anticipated that Nick would not agree.
Natasha, standing there, scanned the expressions of the senators, her heart sinking slightly—from their confident expressions, she knew the outcome of this communication had been predetermined from the start. All they needed to consider was how much to compromise with Director Nick, or rather, how much to give in return.
"Director Nick, the Hulk's existence has seriously threatened the safety of the public, and we must control this threat," the senator continued.
Director Nick responded to these high-sounding words with only a cold laugh.
Then, a female senator spoke up: "Director Nick, no matter how powerful the Hulk is, he always has weaknesses. I believe your people will find his weaknesses."
"You want the white-robed wizard to cooperate with you in the capture?" Director Nick could easily see through the unspoken meaning of these old foxes.
Natasha, standing to the side, changed her expression slightly, but simply stood there, listening quietly.
