After a night of torrential rain, Manhattan was greeted by a bright sunny day.
The morning breeze carries the fresh air washed clean by the rain; just by blowing past you, you feel full of energy.
“Harry’s unlucky. He finally met a girl he liked, but she’s already taken.” Gel and Natasha walked along the road at Culver University, chatting as they watched the college students passing by.
The six of them had originally planned to stroll around Culver University together today, but Harry, afraid of seeing Betty again, dragged Peter to another school instead. Wanda, being playful, took Pietro to the amusement park.
Since they had a portal, they could gather quickly in case of an accident, so Geer just let them be.
Natasha tidied her wind-blown hair, a gentle smile on her face: "Isn't it normal for a beauty like Betty to be taken? Maybe Harry's next romance will come soon."
Perhaps because the temperature was pleasant today, or perhaps because she was out strolling around campus, Natasha didn't wear the usual tight-fitting clothes or business suits. Instead, she wore a short-sleeved plaid floral shirt with a gentle and elegant feel, paired with a black pencil skirt.
The shirt hem was also tied in a small knot, which added a touch of lazy and relaxed beauty to Natasha's look.
Gerr's outfit was most commonly seen during his student days: a loose white short-sleeved shirt paired with jeans. But Gerr's slender and strong physique, his golden and unruly hairstyle, and the sunny, Western-style youthful vibe made the clothes look much more sophisticated.
The pairing of handsome men and beautiful women is always eye-catching, and passing students can't help but glance at them a few times.
The two simply walked and chatted on their own, enjoying the rare moment of leisure.
Suddenly, a commotion seemed to come from afar.
Gel and Natasha stopped and listened carefully, but after a moment, they both felt as if they had misheard—they seemed to hear the sound of tanks starting up.
But this is a university campus!
But soon, the two realized they hadn't misheard, because a group of soldiers carrying machine guns came into view. The soldiers rushed towards them from a distance, their footsteps echoing across the grass as they sped eastward. A moment later, several tanks rolled across the grass, also heading east.
Even after seeing it with his own eyes, Ger still found it unbelievable—this was Culver University, a famous institution of higher learning, why would there be soldiers and tanks here?
Natasha didn't understand what was happening either. The two exchanged a glance and followed the soldier eastward.
This bizarre scene attracted many college students with boundless curiosity, who discussed it while following along.
"Why are soldiers here?"
"Has something serious happened at school?"
"Looking at their equipment, they seem a bit like special forces."
"..."
Groups of soldiers ran eastward, perhaps fearing a riot, and some soldiers were even sent out to maintain order and prevent students from continuing to watch.
Natasha and Gel were among those blocked. Natasha simply showed her identification and led Gel into the encirclement.
"Isn't that Betty?" From a distance, Ger could see Betty standing opposite a middle-aged man in a general's uniform.
“The person opposite Betty is General Ross.” Natasha quickly found the information she needed on her phone. “And Betty, whom we met last night, is General Ross’s daughter. Even more coincidentally, the information shows that Betty’s ex-boyfriend was Dr. Banner.”
In an instant, both of them realized that the person Betty had chased after last night might be their target this time—Bruce Banner.
"Father, please stop," Betty pleaded, tugging at General Ross's clothes.
She had just seen Banner last night and wanted to bring him to the school's lab today to look for information, but unexpectedly her father came with a large number of soldiers to arrest Banner.
On one side was her lover, and on the other was her father.
She felt extreme pain at that moment.
General Ross looked her straight in the eye and said seriously, "You don't understand. Today I'm going to show you what kind of monster he really is!"
The officer beside General Ross reminded him, "He's over there!"
General Ross looked in the direction the officer was pointing and indeed saw Banner's figure.
The two libraries are connected on their second-floor levels by a glass walkway. It was here that Banner was forced into this location by the soldiers.
On either side of the glass corridor are two glass doors. Once these two glass doors are closed, a closed space will be formed in the corridor!
General Ross, holding a walkie-talkie, shouted to the soldiers, "Don't go in! Close the door!"
The soldiers on both sides immediately closed the glass doors on both sides at the same time!
"He's been locked inside," a soldier said to General Ross over the walkie-talkie.
Banner shuffled a few steps in a panic, looked around, and found that behind the glass doors were soldiers with guns. It was no longer possible for him to leave through the glass doors on both sides.
General Ross continued issuing orders: "Fire two tear gas canisters!"
With a few sharp sounds, two tear gas canisters were launched from the opened glass door into the glass corridor, then landed on the ground and bounced toward Banner.
"Clang!"
The sound of the glass door closing again sent a chill down Banner's spine. He looked at the glass wall in the corridor, gritted his teeth, and slammed his head against it.
At this point, this was the only way for him.
But these were special types of glass, very sturdy. He struck them several times, but the glass showed no signs of breaking.
The gray mist from the tear gas canisters was slowly filling the entire glass corridor.
"Banner!" Betty stopped begging her father and ran towards Banner.
"Grab her!" General Ross ordered the soldiers around him.
The soldier quickly caught up with Betty and pulled her away.
Betty struggled, but couldn't break free. She could only watch helplessly as Dr. Banner was engulfed by the tear gas.
This is the scene that Gel and Natasha saw when they arrived.
Seeing Betty's reaction, Gel guessed that the man in the hallway was Dr. Banner!
"What are these people doing? Is this how you court death?" Gerl felt a chill run down his spine as he recalled the Hulk's power in the movies!
Natasha realized the problem too, cursed under her breath, quickly turned on her phone, and said to Gel, "You contact Wanda, I'll contact Peter, and tell them to come over right away!"
After finishing the call, the two quickly headed towards General Ross's direction.
“Betty, look at the changes in him later, you’ll see the truth! He’s become a monster!” General Ross said to Betty with exasperation.
Betty was already in tears, and could only plead desperately, "Father, Father, please don't hurt him."
Gel took a deep breath, utterly speechless at General Ross—you angered Banner and made him turn into the Hulk, but how are you going to clean up the mess?
That's the Hulk, the Hulk who can smash an alien warship with one punch!
