Chapter 144 Saving Asgard

"town."

Gol's voice echoed throughout Asgard, and after his voice fell, all sounds completely disappeared, the shaking ground calmed down, and the flames that had swept across the ground vanished, leaving only a wrecked and devastated Asgard, proving that everything that had just happened still existed.

The fire giant's maniacal smile froze instantly, for he realized that no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't push the flaming greatsword down even a fraction further.

Gel sensed the situation on the Asgardian ground, and after a moment, he suddenly looked at one particular spot, a faint smile on his face: "They're still alive."

With a slight wave of his hand, Hela's body, which had fallen into the abyss, slowly rose to the surface. With another flick of his finger, Hela's tattered body appeared on the spaceship mothership.

"roar!"

The fire giant roared at the sky, then pulled out his flaming greatsword and slammed it into the ground again. However, without him noticing, the flaming greatsword slowly disappeared from its tip, until finally, it turned into nothing but foam and vanished into thin air.

Thor gazed at the scene unfolding in the distance, a profound joy spreading across his face. Even the people of Asgard couldn't help but rejoice—it seemed Gale could truly defeat this fire giant!

The fire giant stared blankly at his palm. With his current mindset, he couldn't fully comprehend what was happening. He just looked at Gel, who was like a tiny dot not far away, and his intuition told him that it was this "tiny dot" that caused everything.

The fire giant opened its massive hand, swung its arm, and fiercely grabbed at Gol in the sky. Even its hand was enough to blot out the sun, and Gol looked far too insignificant in front of it.

But as Gale looked at the enormous arm that had been grabbed at him, his eyes remained as calm as ever. Gale slightly opened his palm, and the three Infinity Stones slowly changed direction within it: the Mind Stone and Soul Stone retreated, while the Reality Stone flew to the forefront.

Gel's chaotic energy split in two, and through the amplification of the Mind Stone and Soul Stone, it all eventually merged into the Reality Stone. Then, the dark red energy surged toward the fire giant's palm.

"Return to the origin".

Gol's voice echoed in the surrounding world, and the gloom in the sky suddenly dissipated a little, with faint sunlight shining down from the sky, carrying a sacred feeling, like Asgard about to usher in the light.

With each step the dark red energy advanced on the fire giant's body, the flames retreated a fraction. Moments later, the fire giant's hands were reduced to ashes, leaving only a tiny ember. This trend continued, starting from the fire giant's feet and spreading towards its waist.

"roar."

The fire giant roared, but his roar was tinged with panic. Watching the flames slowly disappear from his body, he raised his hands and feet in confusion, but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't stop the flames from dissipating. He could only watch helplessly as only fragments of his body, covered in dark red ash, remained.

In the end, all the undying flames gathered on the head of the fire giant.

"Click".

With a soft sound, the two horns on the fire giant's head were broken off, carrying with them an inextinguishable flame, and flew towards Gel's hand. Gel's mind moved, and he separated the horns and the inextinguishable flame again, handing them to Wanda on the spaceship mothership.

At this moment, Hela had regained some of her divine power and stood up with a pained expression. However, no one looked at her anymore because they all knew that since Gel could send Hela to the spaceship mothership, it meant that Hela no longer had the ability to cause trouble.

Hela could no longer sense Asgard's energy; it seemed that Gale had silently severed her connection with Asgard. Hela didn't even know how Gale had done it.

Hela looked at the fire giant outside, who was utterly powerless to resist, and her sorrow deepened—she thought that with Odin dead and her breaking of the seal, nothing in Asgard could stand in her way. But she never expected that after Wanda appeared, such a terrifying figure as Gol would emerge.

Even Hela couldn't muster the will to fight against Gel at this moment.

The fire giant could no longer be called a fire giant. Having lost its inextinguishable flame and horns, Surtur was nothing but ashes. Moments later, Surtur's body completely lost its support and collapsed onto the ground with a crash.

But as Surtur's body touched the ground, it transformed into dark red butterflies and flew towards the sky above Asgard.

Gel looked at the ground, and with a gentle wave of his right hand, chaotic energy flowed through the three Infinity Stones and landed on the earth. Wherever the energy passed, all the buildings were restored to their original state, the deep craters in the earth were automatically filled, and the trees grew back. In just a moment, Asgard was restored to its previous appearance.

"German has won!"

Asgard is reborn!

"yeah!"

"..."

Uncontrollable cheers erupted from the three motherships, and of course, no one tried to stop them. Thor looked at Asgard before him, a look of relief finally appearing in his eyes—thankfully, Asgard hadn't been destroyed by his hand.

Three spaceship motherships descended towards the ground, and the people of Asgard cheered and ran towards their homes, while many others shouted words of gratitude to Gol in the sky.
