Over the course of three days, Nick's anxiety grew. He couldn't contact any of the superheroes, including Tony, Potts, and Natasha. It was as if they had vanished without a trace.
But Nick knew that one day, this group would reappear, and perhaps that day would be the start of another huge uproar!
Suddenly, Nick paused, looking towards the center of the office. There, a portal had appeared.
“G…” Nick’s words suddenly stopped there, and then he looked at Natasha and Wanda who walked in, feeling a strange sense of fear in his heart.
Natasha's expression was terrifyingly cold. Even now, seeing him, she didn't show the slightest smile, as if she were facing a complete stranger.
Wanda's eyes were even more terrifying; her crimson pupils resembled a volcano about to erupt.
"Nick, what role did you play in the nuclear explosion three days ago?" Wanda slowly looked at Nick, her chilling voice reaching his ears.
Just as Nick was about to speak, he saw Wanda suddenly appear beside him, her hands slightly outstretched. A surge of gray energy entered his mind, and then Nick knew nothing more.
Nick was in a daze, and he didn't know how much time had passed before he opened his eyes slightly and regained consciousness.
“You…” Nick paused for a moment, then gave a bitter laugh and shook his head. “I didn’t…”
It's likely that during the time he lost his memory, he uttered quite a few words under the control of mind magic.
“I already know, otherwise you wouldn’t be sitting here right now,” Wanda’s cold voice interrupted Nick.
Nick raised his head slightly, looked at Natasha and Wanda, and asked with a wry smile, "What brings you here this time?"
Natasha spoke slowly, but this time, she stood firmly beside Wanda, not beside Nick: "We came here to obtain all the information about the people who issued this order, including all their families and all their assets."
"You're going to kill them?" Nick asked Natasha, who looked so unfamiliar to him, with a serious expression.
Wanda's indifferent voice echoed slowly in the office: "Killing them would be too easy on them."
“They deserve to die, but their families are innocent too.” Nick didn’t know what to say; he could only utter such a flimsy sentence, and even that was hard for him to say at the moment.
Natasha's eyes grew even colder. She clenched her fists tightly, staring into Nick's eyes, her voice like a falling stone, slamming into Nick's heart: "Aren't we innocent? Aren't the millions of people on Manhattan Island innocent? If it weren't for Gail, all of us innocent people would be dead by now! We even gave them a chance. If they had been dealt with in these three days, we would never have come here. But now can you tell me where they are?"
Nick's face suddenly turned ashen, and he too was speechless. What he had just said was merely something he was forced to say because of his position.
But at this moment, he could no longer utter these words.
Natasha looked at Nick's lowered head and continued coldly, "Right now, they're hiding somewhere, enjoying their lives. Then, once this is over, they'll reappear in the public eye, living the high life they always have, just like before."
Nick slowly turned on his computer, and after a moment, he placed all the documents in front of Natasha and Wanda.
Wanda slowly walked over, examined the contents, and after a long while, she slowly stood up, her body surging with chaotic energy, and a spatial portal quickly opened.
Wanda slowly stepped inside, but just as her figure disappeared through the portal, she slowly turned back: "You inform them. I will start with the first person and search for them one by one. Let them start running for their lives."
In a luxurious villa, Besson smashed a crystal glass that could support an ordinary person for several months on the ground, and then picked up a vase next to him and smashed it hard on the ground as well.
"Bang!"
"Bang!"
In an instant, the marble floor of the entire room was covered with broken pieces, and several servants stood in the corner of the house, watching Besson go mad with fear.
"These lowly, despicable people are still marching!" After smashing countless cups, Besson slowly exhaled and shouted.
For the past three days, he and seven other members of parliament have used countless connections and paid countless prices to remain safely in their secret properties.
However, those lowly inferiors are still clamoring and trying to push those who actually make the decisions forward, but how could that be? They will never be pushed forward!
But they also fear that if the commotion drags on, someone will lose patience and demand the actual removal of a few members of parliament. At that point, he might be one of those pushed forward.
Besson gritted his teeth and slumped heavily into his chair—he had to find a way to ensure that even if several members of parliament were to be pushed forward, he would not be the one to be pushed forward!
It's all those damned lowly people's fault!
"boom!"
Besson was still cursing, but the next moment, he suddenly looked up and, to his horror, the door in front of him was suddenly ripped off the wall with a deafening sound.
Immediately afterwards, the entire roof was blown off, and moments later, the four walls turned into bricks and stones that flew into the sky.
For a moment, the entire sky was filled with flying bricks and stones.
"Soldiers, soldiers!"
Besson screamed for help to the guards, but his voice was completely drowned out by the chaos. When the sky cleared up again after a moment, Besson's pupils contracted slightly, and he abruptly stood up from his chair.
