Ronan angrily slammed the Power Gem directly onto the mirrored space, and then, purple energy erupted instantly, shattering the entire space.
"You brat, how dare you..." Ronan's words were cut short as he suddenly widened his eyes and looked at the dark red spatial blade that had suddenly appeared around the handle of his weapon.
"Clang!"
The deep purple spatial blades sliced through the handle with a deafening sound, and Ronan's hands jerked violently, nearly causing him to drop the weapon. But the next moment, the Power Gem unleashed a dazzling purple light, which surged across Ronan's weapon, causing the surrounding spatial blades to vanish into nothingness.
"What's going on? Why did Ronan suddenly disappear and then reappear?"
"What a pity, we didn't manage to destroy Ronan's weapons with a sneak attack."
Quill and Raccoon watched the images on the holographic projection, their hearts filled with both confusion and emotion. Drax, on the other hand, stared hatefully in Ronan's direction, his hands gripping his weapon tightly, wishing he could pass right through the holographic projection and fight Ronan to the death.
A chill slowly crept onto Ger's face—he had originally planned to destroy Ronan's weapon so he could obtain the Power Stone without anyone noticing.
However, since the Power Gem is embedded in Ronan's weapon, the weapon and the Power Gem's energy are always connected and protected by the Power Gem. Therefore, it is not possible to destroy his weapon by attacking it as in the original story.
"You want to take my Power Stone?" Ronan roared, raising his weapon and slamming purple energy down onto the ground with unstoppable force.
Since this terrifying mage's energy is stronger than his, he can simply use the Power Gem to touch the ground. In that case, the Power Gem's energy can quickly shatter the planet, something no one can stop.
“Stubborn to the end.” Gol’s voice echoed with anger, seemingly containing immense energy that instantly dispersed the surrounding dust. Gol slammed his hand on the ground, and a Reality Gem, shimmering with a dark red light, appeared on his chest. After his chaotic energy circulated within the Reality Gem, a dense energy wave surged from his body and flowed directly into the ground, transforming into a circular energy shield that surrounded Ronan’s feet.
The instant the purple energy and the dark red circular energy shield touched, a dazzling light spread out, and the terrifying energy fluctuations sent everything around them flying.
"rise!"
With a roar, dark red energy surged from the ground, blasting Ronan's body directly into the sky.
"So close yet so far."
Geer slashed his right hand downwards, and under the influence of the chaotic energy, the surrounding spatial energy surged downwards at a terrifying speed, like a swarm of sharks smelling blood.
In an instant, the spatial energy within a radius of thousands of kilometers shifted, and Ronan was horrified to discover that his distance from the ground had become extremely vast. Yet, the distant clusters of buildings still served as a reminder that he wasn't actually as far from the ground as he had imagined.
"If you want to protect Xandar, then it's up to me whether you agree or not." Ronan's weapon drew an arc in the sky, and purple energy, like a dazzling star, fired hundreds of rays downwards—anything that is energy can be shattered, even spatial energy!
"My God, I never knew humans could be this powerful."
"It turns out we were all frogs in a well before."
"I am Groot."
Quill and Raccoon were shocked and somewhat frustrated. After all, they had been roaming the stars for so long and thought they were big shots. But seeing the fight between these two, they realized that all their previous battles were just small fry, or even small fry.
Gamora merely glanced at the two of them helplessly, without interrupting—if they had seen how Gale reversed time, perhaps they wouldn't have been so emotional at this moment.
A dazzling purple light pierced through the magic of "Close to the Ends of the Earth," causing the spatial energy within to tremble and vibrate. Gel, suspended in the sky, merely snorted coldly, slightly opening his arms. All the chaotic energy within his body surged into the Reality Gem. The enhanced dark red energy swirled around Ronan like a tornado, quickly encircling him.
From the outside, it looked as if Ronan had been swallowed by a gaping maw.
"Damn brat!" Ronan's roar pierced through the surrounding wind and reached Ger's ears. At the same time, streaks of deep purple energy pierced through the dark red tornado, illuminating the surrounding area.
Ronan gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with furious crimson, and tried to walk out of the dark red tornado. Gel, however, remained calm, rapidly absorbing the energy of the Power Gem while increasing the speed of the dark red tornado, keeping Ronan trapped inside.
"How could this be? My energy..." Ronan's panicked voice came from the dark red tornado, but it was quickly drowned out.
Gel focused solely on absorbing the Power Stone's energy, ignoring Ronan's voice—everyone's energy is finite, and Ronan's energy was no exception. Although the vast majority of the energy Gel absorbed came from the Power Stone, a small portion also came from Ronan.
Gale is absorbing energy at an alarming rate. It might not be long before Ronan's energy is completely depleted, at which point Gale will be able to take the Power Stone without firing a shot!
"He's really strong."
