Chapter Seventy-Seven: The Destroyer Appears

Thor immediately retorted to Eric's words: "That's true all along. All you have to do is let Gel show you what he's got, right?"

As he spoke, Thor turned his gaze to Gel.

Ger acted as if he hadn't heard their conversation, and just kept eating in silence—the two of them had discussed this topic too many times in the past few days, and the content of each discussion was the same.

However, Eric and Thor were both too stubborn, and they would argue about it every time.

It was impossible for Ger to expose magic to everyone so quickly, and therefore impossible for him to use magic for Eric's research. So, Ger simply pretended not to hear it.

Daisy, standing to the side, agreed with Eric's point of view.

"Hello, is Thor here?"

A rough voice suddenly came from outside the tent. When he heard the voice, Thor's eyes lit up, and he quickly left the table and walked out of the tent.

"Friends!" Thor's voice rang out from outside the tent, and then Thor led four people in.

Jane, Daisy, and Eric's expressions froze instantly, and the steaks they were holding stopped in their hands, not being put into their mouths for a long time.

The four men following Thor were all dressed in medieval court-style samurai attire, each carrying a variety of exaggerated weapons. It made one wonder if they had just finished filming a TV series or if they had simply fallen asleep.

“This is Lady Sif and the Warriors Three of Asgard, my good friends in Asgard,” Thor introduced to Gol, Jane, and the other three.

Afterwards, the two sides introduced themselves to each other.

It has to be said that the three warriors of Asgard had really loud voices, and their voices were full of energy, which made Jane and the others' ears hurt after a while.

As the Warriors Three entered the tent, two agents in the distance lowered their binoculars and dialed Coulson's number: "Sir, the target has appeared."

Coulson's calm words were transmitted to the agents via cell phone: "You can leave now."

Then, Coulson dialed Gell's number.

"Buzz".

The vibration sound came from Ger's pocket, which also attracted the attention of the others.

The Warriors Three looked curiously at Gel answering the phone, then heard other voices coming from the other end and immediately understood: "This is a communication device here in Midgard."

“…Okay, I’ll be right there.” Gol nodded after hearing Coulson’s words, then hung up the phone and gave Thor and the Warriors Three an apologetic look. “I have some urgent business to attend to here, so I might need to leave for a bit.”

“Then you can go ahead and get busy,” Fandral of the Warriors Three said in a booming voice. “We’re here to take Thor home. See you next time we come to Midgard.”

Ger smiled at the group and then walked out of the tent.

The timing of Coulson's call was so coincidental; it was obviously arranged by Gel.

The Warriors Three and Thor's "old flame" Sif must have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, and such a commotion would definitely attract Loki's attention.

Loki would be furious if he knew Heimdall had betrayed him, and would launch his various plans ahead of time.

If Gale stays here, it will cause many problems—if Loki still sends the Destroyer to hunt down Thor as in the original story, should Gale help him or not? If he helps, Thor won't be able to grow, nor will he gain the approval of Mjolnir. If he doesn't help, it won't be right for Thor either.

But now, Gel was more worried that Loki wouldn't spare him while dealing with Thor. After all, Gel hadn't forgotten how badly he'd tricked Loki a few days ago. Previously, Gel hadn't worried because Loki's main target was definitely Thor, and he wouldn't rashly drag him into Asgard to cause chaos.

Moreover, the Warriors Three and Heimdall are still safely in Asgard. Even if he is pulled in, he can find a way to persuade them to convince the Asgardian soldiers not to attack him.

But now that the Warriors Three have arrived on Earth, Heimdall should be frozen in ice, and Loki should have taken control of the Bifrost.

If he reveals himself and Loki manages to pinpoint his location, the Destroyer could easily use the Bifrost to pull him into Asgard, leaving him truly vulnerable. After all, with no one in charge of Asgard, the other soldiers will only obey Loki.

As long as the plot unfolds smoothly and Thor regains control of Mjolnir, he will not be isolated and helpless even if he is taken to Asgard.

Of course, all of this is just Gale's own speculation. Loki might not necessarily use the Rainbow Bridge; he might use other methods to deal with Gale, or he might settle scores later after completely resolving the Thor issue.

But just to be on the safe side, Ger only planned to remain hidden to the side, and then secretly intervene if the group were actually in danger. His priority was to ensure they weren't truly in danger.

With that in mind, Ger added several more layers of defensive shields to himself. Although he didn't know which one could block the Rainbow Bridge's detection devices, the ones he applied should include one or more of them.

Inside the tent, Saul's face darkened considerably. He said to Fandral, "You know I can't go back. My father died because of me, and I must remain in exile."

Jane walked over to Saul and patted him on the shoulder reassuringly.

The Warriors Three and Sif, standing nearby, turned their heads, somewhat puzzled by Thor's words. After a moment, Sif frowned and said, "Thor, your father is still alive, just in a deep sleep."
