Metropolitan Lostbelt (Part 2): The Rebels Assemble...

Metropolitan Lostbelt (Part 2): The Rebels Assemble...

The Chaldean group, who were taken to Atlantis, are still in a daze, wondering how things suddenly turned out this way.

Apart from the captain, Sion, Holmes, Gilgamesh, and other crew members who remained on the main ship in Chaldea.

Ritsuka, Kadoc, Mash, and Merlin, piloted by Goldrov and Leonardo da Vinci Jr., arrived at the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, the capital, under the guidance of a man who called himself the Sea King.

As for why the director was among the group of people going out, Little Da Vinci winked slyly, of course, it was because there was danger and he had to rely on Goldruff's superb driving skills to escape.

That's the "Phoenix," the car that could evade the divine punishment of Arjuna and break Sherlock Holmes' record for the highest difficulty level in his simulator racing game.

Inside the shadow border, Leonardo da Vinci, like a researcher encountering something new, was engaging in conversation with the seemingly radiant man beside him with an inquisitive spirit.

The two, both adept at making friends easily, hit it off immediately and chatted happily. The responsibility of driving was entirely entrusted to Goldrov.

Sitting in the back seat, Fujimaru Ritsuka stroked his chin and stared at the Sea King in front of him. He was wearing armor and had a trident in his hand with dark green wrist guards.

The name Atlantis and the man who called himself the Sea King both sent a shiver down the spines of Chaldea, who had experienced the Fifth Lostbelt.

But it must be said that the confident and cheerful person in front of me, who was like a radiant sun, was much more amiable than the warriors from the Age of Gods I had first encountered.

Otherwise, the director would not have agreed to come directly to the locals' kingdom without knowing anything about it.

Could it be that the royal capital prefers this style of revealing skin? Fujimaru Ritsuka wondered to herself.

At that moment, Neptune's voice rang out from the front, his tone as always, carrying a strange sense of relief, "We've arrived, Chaldea members."

Before them, the Chaldean group fell into a brief silence, unsure whether to describe it as high-tech or simply rustic, with its palace and gilded chairs.

But soon, a very familiar figure walked from behind the throne to the Shadow Border, causing almost everyone in the car to erupt in excitement.

"Debit—! It really is you! What are you doing here?"

After demonstrating his harmlessness, Debit became the umpteenth former adversary to have visited Shadow Border. Fujimaru Ritsuka asked impatiently, her voice tinged with excitement.

She never expected to actually see Debit again.

"It's been a long time, Fujimaru, Kadoc, and everyone from New Chaldea." Debit greeted them naturally, still with a calm demeanor. "As expected, seeing the Imaginary Tree here, I knew you would come."

"Hey, Debit, I've brought him to you." Arthur walked over and patted Debit on the shoulder like a good buddy.

He said in a loud voice, "But these people are clearly technically skilled, especially this lady!"

Can these people really solve the problems of their universe? Arthur's unfinished words were conveyed to Debit through his gaze.

Debit glanced silently at the giant man pointing at Leonardo da Vinci, and the lively girl smiled. Haha, he'd probably already gotten a lot of information about Aquaman, including the situation in this world.

“First of all, their combatants are those behind you.” Debit said expressionlessly, brushing Arthur’s hand away. Before Arthur could even be surprised that the people in the back seat looked like minors, he interrupted his thoughts.

"Secondly, I don't have time for explanations and clarifications. I probably don't even have a minute left today. I must make the current situation clear to them."

Debit can only remember minutes of a day. He essentially compresses a day into five minutes, making time extremely precious to him.

Trusting his comrades-in-arms, Arthur swallowed his questions about why such a frail minor would be on the battlefield, especially one who appeared to be a key player.

He scratched his head, plopped down on the door of the Shadow Border, rested his elbow on the side of his right knee, and looked as comfortable as if he were at home.

"I apologize for attacking you at sea earlier." Although he said there wasn't enough time, Debit still spoke unhurriedly, "As a rebel, you always have to be more vigilant than a regular army, and I think you should know that well."

“…Rebel army?” Fujimaru Ritsuka repeated the three words, a bad feeling welling up inside her.

"Yes, all those on Earth who are still resisting the Lostbelt King and his Servants are currently concentrated in this sea area," Debit said casually.

These words struck the Chaldeans like a bolt from the blue.

"Wait a minute!" Kadoc couldn't sit still any longer. "This Lostbelt clearly formed in a specific timeframe—"

“It’s short, isn’t it?” Debit smirked, his tone meaningful, even a bit like watching a show. “Because the Lostbelt King had practically ruled the whole world before this world became a Lostbelt.”

Upon learning that his world was about to undergo its predetermined restart, he was unwilling and unable to relinquish his achievements. Somehow, he obtained the Holy Grail and summoned an excessively powerful Servant.

He then replicated the Imaginary Tree and planted the tree seed on Ritsuka and the others' blank Earth.

“You are also familiar with that Servant. His name is—Kirshtalia Wodem.”

Debit's calm words exploded like thunder in the car, followed by silence, a silence so long that one could hardly feel their breath.

It seems that only the ever-flowing seawater outside the car can prove the passage of time.

"Dude, is that Wodim guy famous around here?" Arthur couldn't help but ask, noticing the momentarily frozen atmosphere. "Why do they look so strange?"

"Wodim is very strong, and he must have left a very deep impression on them. But this reaction is probably because in their eyes—Wodim is already a dead man."

The Hidden One, formerly the leader of Group A, Kirshtalia Wodim, dreams of enabling all of humanity to become gods and eliminating inequality among people.

After being defeated by Chaldea in the Fifth Lostbelt, and then attacked by the Holy Lance Rungomminiad, in order to prevent Chaldea's journey from ending, he chose to unleash a powerful magic to protect Chaldea, which had just been an enemy.

However, he was also distracted by fatigue and was killed by another hidden figure, his former teammate Beryl.

"What a hellish start—! Is it Kirshtalia Wodem again? Is he... has he come back from the dead?!"

Goldrov finally reacted, his expression one of delayed shock, gripping the steering wheel tightly. "No matter how outrageous the Lostbelts are, this is just too much!"

Fujimaru Ritsuka took a deep breath, feeling a terrible headache. Mashu gripped her wrist tightly, as if drawing strength from it. Kadoc's eyebrows were almost knotted together.

The only one who could be considered relaxed was Merlin, who was watching the show from the sidelines in his spirit form. As if he still had a conscience, he waved his staff, and Ritsuka instantly felt her vision clear up a lot.

Little Leonardo da Vinci pinched the bridge of his nose, revealing an indescribable expression. "Oh dear, that's troublesome."

From his conversation with Aquaman, Little Da Vinci had heard many familiar names. "The magical content of this world is similar to that of the Age of Gods, making it perfect for Wodim's celestial magic."

Unsurprisingly, Chaldea reacted strongly to this. Although their journey was almost entirely smooth, Ritsuka mostly turned the tide in the final stages.

But it's really rare to be attacked right at the start and almost have a group of people sent flying by a single magic trick from Kirshtalia.

"However," Leonardo da Vinci pondered after his initial astonishment, "does he actually have the qualifications to become a Servant?"

“Perhaps, it’s not surprising that Wodim has such abilities.” Debit shrugged, then said seriously, “Fujimaru Ritsuka.”

"exist!"

"Did you and New Chaldea come here to dismantle the Lostbelts?" Debit asked. "Even if you face Wardem and a Lostbelt King even more powerful than him again, would you fight for the survival of humanity, risking your life?"

“Of course.” Fujimaru Ritsuka said without hesitation, her eyes losing their initial shock and replaced by unwavering determination.

Isn't this only natural? Chaldea, having chosen to step onto this singularity, will not back down.

Outside, the waters surged, and the seabed was dark and gloomy, but the lights of Chaldea never went out.

“I knew it, you haven’t changed a bit,” Debit said, not out of a sense of responsibility, but simply out of self-satisfaction. And in that respect, they were the same.

The purple and gold eyes did not meet, yet the two opposing colors revealed an indescribable tacit understanding.

"This time you're going to save the world, but I'm going to save the universe. If this universe is allowed to continue to compress, the Earth that exists in New Chaldea might cease to exist."

Debit smiled and extended his right hand.

"Fujimaru, I'm so glad to be your comrade this time."

Fujimaru Ritsuka blinked, raised her hand and grasped his, her body temperature as cool as his own. "Me too, this time we finally have the chance to fight side by side."

“Then let me formally introduce myself,” Arthur said, leaping to his feet. “I am Arthur Curry, King of Atlantis.” He chuckled. “Welcome to the Rebellion.”

“Ahem, Commander of New Chaldea, Goldrov Mujik.” Goldrov coughed, picking up the commander’s hat he had dropped in his shock. “I think you already know the general situation of Chaldea through Debit Void.”

He looked serious and solemn. "So, as is customary, before discussing the specifics of the Lostbelts, we hope to see the remaining members of the Resistance."

Three minutes later.

"Ha, that guy was right! Ritsuka, you really did come!"

Upon arriving at the Atlantis Palace, at the location of the rebel survivors, Fujimaru Ritsuka was struck by an unexpected surprise.

"That voice... is Jason?!"
