☆, Chapter 41: Old Things

As Zhang Ye put the box away, he came out and wanted to help move it again, but Wen Mianyu stopped him, "Don't move it, it's almost noon, I haven't had time to eat yet, and you two haven't eaten either, right? Let's go out and eat something."

After saying this, he thought of something and looked at Lu Congxu helplessly and said, "Forget it, you're too easy to be recognized and it's easy to cause a crowd. I won't compete with Ye Qianan for the headlines."

Lu Congxu moved his lips and wanted to say something.

Wen Mianyu took out her phone and said, "There's a delicious rice noodle shop nearby. I used to drive over here often in secret. It actually tastes better in the shop, but now I have no choice but to order takeout."

Lu Congxu's eyes changed instantly, and he unconsciously moved closer to look at her phone screen.

She clicked on a store, and it turned out to be the one he was familiar with.

This rice noodle shop has a light taste, and Wen Mianyu always liked it during his lifetime. He had taken him there several times in the middle of the night and ate there secretly without his agent's knowledge.

Once, both of them were losing weight for a play, so they came over to drink soup to satisfy their cravings. After drinking, Wen Mianyu even pulled him back, saying it was to burn calories.

The memories of the past were clear, and Lu Congxu found that he did not deliberately remember anything, but it turned out that he could not forget every little thing about Wen Mianyu.

Both of them are public figures, and even their preferences are exposed under the spotlight, so it is difficult to have secrets. He doesn't know how many memories belong only to him and Wen Mianyu, but every time he finds a little familiarity with Su Moli, he unconsciously wants to get closer to the person in front of him.

"What else do you like?" Lu Congxu asked unconsciously.

Wen Mianyu casually said a lot, "A lot, hot pot, Japanese food, Sichuan cuisine."

These are what she once liked, but they are also what most people would like.

Lu Congxu's urgency gradually dissipated, and he said, "We can go to the store. There are private rooms upstairs. If we're careful, we won't be noticed."

"That's fine." Wen Mianyu nodded, put away her phone and said, "Anyway, I'm not popular right now, so just be careful."

Lu Congxu stared at her for a while before lowering his eyes and responding, "Yeah."

When they arrived at the restaurant, Wen Mianyu asked for a private room by the window as if she was familiar with the place. She took the menu handed to her by the waiter, made a few strokes on it, and then handed the list to Zhang Ye.

"Pick out what you like. I can't order for you if I don't know your taste."

"I have a simple taste and eat everything." Zhang Ye took the menu with a smile and ordered according to his taste and preference.

Wen Mianyu returned the menu to the waiter and said, "Two servings of sour plum soup, please."

Zhang Ye glanced at Lu Congxu hesitantly and asked, "Brother Lu, aren't you going to order?"

"I ordered for him." Wen Mianyu took out a tissue and picked up the tableware to wipe it.

All her movements were so natural, and every move was imprinted in Lu Congxu's eyes, and they were all familiar.

Lu Congxu unconsciously cast his gaze on her and looked at her for a long time.

Zhang Ye said, "Miss Su, I heard that the movie you and Brother Lu are filming this time is a biopic of Mr. Wen. Where will the crew go to shoot it? Qingzhu Island?"

"You also know Qingzhu Island?" Wen Mianyu asked in surprise.

Wen Yuxian has long been famous in the Peking Opera circle, but Zhang Ye is too young and doesn't seem to like Peking Opera.

"My grandfather was a huge fan of Mr. Wen's opera. He kept all of his valuable discs from his early years, including some that are out of print. He spent all his pension on them," Zhang Ye said. "I've been influenced by him so much that I can hear some of his flavor."

Wen Mianyu smiled and said, "I still have my grandfather's autograph at home. Since he likes it so much, I'll give him a copy when I have time."
