"What are you doing, little sister? Do you need help?"
Xinghe didn't even look up. "No need."
Even after being rejected, Sheng Lao Er didn't leave. He just stood next to Xinghe and silently handed her the tools.
Xinghe glanced at him twice, then ignored him.
Xinghe suddenly remembered something, "Was that diamond bracelet in my pocket a gift from you?"
She got drunk that night and forgot everything when she woke up the next day. She only found the bracelet in her bag when she was changing clothes.
I asked my parents and Shengheng, but it wasn't them.
She thought about the remaining people and concluded that the most likely candidate was Sheng Lao Er.
"Yes." Sheng Lao Er readily admitted, "I saw that bracelet and thought you would like it, so I bought it."
Xinghe looked at him with a strange expression and quietly moved a little further away from him.

Xinghe silently left a comment.
He started tinkering with all sorts of random magical artifacts again.
Looking at it at a glance, Sheng Lao Er saw things that looked like clothes, ribbons, and even bows and arrows... a complete mess.
He wisely refrained from asking, and even if he had, he might not have received a reply from Xinghe.
"Okay, all done."
Xinghe clapped his hands and stood up.
"You have a lot of things, shall I help you carry them inside?"
Xinghe glanced at him twice, then said, "Alright."
Sheng Lao Er was quite happy. He packed everything into a large box, didn't even need a cart, and carried the box towards the villa.
He placed the things in Xinghe's room.
As he was about to leave, Xinghe called him back.
"Wait, here's your reward." Xinghe tossed a talisman at Sheng Lao Er. "It can ward off some evil spirits."
The pupils behind Sheng Lao Er's gold-rimmed glasses dilated slightly.
"Is it a gift for me? Thank you."
Xinghe shifted his gaze slightly. "It's just payment for your help. I'm a person who always repays kindness."
