All negative emotions must be processed by oneself.
The two sisters composed themselves, finished their meal, and went to see a performance together on the street.
The Spring Festival is the most lively time.
When Chu Lin returned from the Spring Festival, he learned that He Shaoyun had come to Fucheng to find her sister. Chu Lin then inquired about where He Shaohua lived. He learned that she lived in the school dormitory, which boys were not allowed to enter, so he waited at the school gate.
I've been writing to He Shaoyun these past few days, but she hasn't replied. She also doesn't answer my calls.
The last time he called the farm, a girl answered and told him about He Shaoyun's life on the farm. She said she wasn't doing well and he was very worried.
"After we finish watching the show, I'll take you to see a movie," He Shaohua said, holding her younger sister's hand. She was dressed up beautifully.
He Shaoyun nodded happily.
As Chu Lin stepped out of the school gate, he heard a familiar voice.
Just as He Shaoyun was about to speak to her sister, she felt someone staring at her, and their eyes met.
Upon seeing Chu Lin, who was carrying a package, they noticed his appearance.
In just a few months, Chu Lin saw that He Shaoyun's once fair and beautiful appearance had changed to this.
He was dark-skinned, much thinner, and his eyes had lost their original light, giving off a numb feeling.
"Sister Shaohua, Xiaoyun?" Chu Lin spoke first, breaking the awkward atmosphere.
He Shaoyun never expected that he would find her here.
"What are you doing here?" He Shaoyun instinctively turned her back to Chu Lin; she couldn't face him in her current state.
He Shaohua looked at Chu Lin and asked, "Are you back in Fucheng for the New Year?"
"I'm on holiday, I came back the day before yesterday, why don't you come to my house for the New Year?" Chu Lin invited them to visit for the New Year directly. "At my house, only my grandparents are there, they are both very easy to talk to."
He Shaohua didn't refuse, but looked at her younger sister first.
“I’m not going.” He Shaoyun refused decisively.
Chu Lin then said, "Xiao Yun, shall we talk?"
He Shaoyun didn't want to talk about it, didn't want to face Chu Lin.
He Shaohua tugged at He Shaoyun's sleeve, signaling her to stop being stubborn.
Seeing that her sister had already said that, He Shaoyun didn't know what to say.
He Shaohua gave them space to talk. Chu Lin and He Shaoyun sat down on a park bench, while He Shaohua sat nearby and waited.
Chu Lin tilted his head and glanced at He Shaoyun.
"You've changed a lot. How was it over there?" Chu Lin was never good at conversation. He wanted to show concern for He Shaoyun and talk to her in a gentler way, but he didn't know how.
He Shaoyun stared ahead, unsure how to face Chu Lin at that moment.
"I'm fine." He Shaoyun didn't want Chu Lin to see her in such a disheveled state.
“You’re lying. You’re not doing well at all,” Chu Lin said without hesitation, exposing her lie.
