After Su Yan and Lu Ting had lunch at Su's house, they took a car to the countryside. They first visited Su Yan's grandparents, drank a cup of tea and chatted for a few minutes, then went to Lihua Village to pay New Year's greetings to Lu Ting's grandparents.
My parents-in-law happened to be there too, and after dinner we squeezed into a bicycle and went back to the military compound. When we got home, we forgot that we had parked our bicycle at the military hospital and had not ridden it back.
"Xiao Yu, your bicycle is parked in the parking lot of the military hospital. Go and ride it back tomorrow."
"Okay, sister-in-law."
Su Yan handed the bicycle key to Lu Yu and got off the bike with Lu Yiming in her arms.
Lu Ting went to return the car, Su Yan and her mother-in-law went into the house, and Lu Jin and Zhu Ting went back to her parents' home and did not come back.
Lu Fengnian sighed, "I can sleep well tonight."
Hua Min's face was filled with worry and uneasiness. "I wonder if Lanlan will cry and make a fuss at Zhu's house?"
"Why are you worrying about that? It's not like there's no one to take care of the child at their house. Didn't Xiaoting say she would send the child to the Zhu family when school starts?"
Hua Min frowned, feeling that this matter was a bit mysterious. What if Mrs. Zhu refused to take care of the child because she thought the child was noisy?
The Lu family slept soundly, but Mrs. Zhu did not sleep all night. She got up several times. As soon as she lay back in bed, her granddaughter started crying at the top of her lungs.
"Old Zhu, what should we do? Tingting asked me to help her take care of the baby after her confinement. How can we take care of the baby?"
"You let her figure it out on her own."
"Whatever she wants, she doesn't even take care of the child herself. Lu Jin is the one taking care of the child, carrying him around all night. How did this child become so spoiled? Tingting wasn't this spoiled when she was a child."
"Your son-in-law said the child is sick and has a stomachache."
The couple was worried. They decided not to take care of the child and let them figure out a solution themselves.
