After knocking on the door and entering the yard, Su Ze hung two thousand-shot firecrackers on a bamboo pole and set them off with a crackling sound.
They greeted each other with auspicious words, gave Lu Yiming a red envelope, and Lu Ting gently put the gift back on the table.
Seeing his son-in-law bringing so many things, Su Qingshan said, "Keep these fine wines and teas for yourselves and drink them when Yiming turns ten."
Lu Ting laughed and teased, "Dad, it will take another eight years and ten months for Yiming to turn ten. If I don't give this tea to you, it will have already been eaten by someone else."
After Su Lang finished greeting his sister and brother-in-law, they drank tea and chatted for a while, then took a bunch of things from home and went out. Su Yan asked Jiang Lingling, "Mom, is my second brother going to his father-in-law's house to pay New Year's greetings?"
"Well, he went to the Ye family to pay New Year's greetings. Although he and Ye Qinqin got married, they hadn't held a wedding banquet yet, so Ye Qinqin didn't move in. He went back after having New Year's Eve dinner at our house yesterday."
Su Yan could tell from her mother's smiling eyes that she was very satisfied with Ye Qinqin. Even though they had a marriage certificate, they didn't hold a wedding banquet or live together.
Maybe for the Ye family, holding a wedding banquet and a wedding ceremony is the real marriage!
But it’s better this way. It’s always good for the Ye family to have rules. At least finding Ye Qinqin is much better than finding a girl like Hua Hudie.
Su Yan noticed that Wang Yan had suddenly become thinner during the winter break. When she asked, she found out that she was pregnant. She secretly pulled Jiang Lingling back to her room and asked, "Mom, you're not really going to quit your job to take care of your grandson, are you?"
