Seeing that Yun Ningyan had left, Huo Junshan followed her into the field.
But someone blocked their way.
Liu Zhijun, along with Hu Haiquan, blocked Huo Junshan on the road. Liu Zhijun pointed to a big tree by the edge of the field and said, "Comrade Huo, I need to talk to you. Let's go over there."
Huo Junshan had no idea what was going on. He had already left in anger when Yun Ningyan returned the lunchbox and eggs to Liu Zhijun that day.
The two often walked under the tree. Huo Junshan was a little anxious, afraid that the little girl would hurt her hands if she did any more work.
"Speak quickly if you need something!"
Liu Zhijun warned him fiercely, "Stay away from Yun Zhiqing from now on. You're not good enough for her! Don't you know who you are? You're dreaming!"

He pointed at Huo Junshan and shouted angrily, "Don't you know how much trouble you've caused her? Don't you know what's going on in the village?"
Huo Junshan didn't want to argue with him; he needed to hurry over and help the little girl with her work.
"This is our business, it has nothing to do with you, an outsider!" Huo Junshan said coldly, then added boastfully, "I'm going to help her with her work, don't get in the way!"
He started walking away, not forgetting to bump into Liu Zhijun hard. Liu Zhijun was not as tall as him, and was knocked off balance by the impact, almost falling over.
Huo Junshan sneered inwardly and mocked, "Weakling! If you dare to fawn over her, I'll break your legs!"
Huo Junshan's fists clenched so tightly they cracked, startling Liu Zhijun. Having been in the village for so long, he knew Huo Junshan's fighting prowess and knew he couldn't beat him; a wise man doesn't fight a losing battle.
Liu Zhijun grabbed Hu Haiquan and ran.
Huo Junshan narrowed his eyes, watching his retreating figure, and walked towards Yun Ningyan's field.
Yun Ningyan waited for him for quite a while. He had come along just two days ago when she had just entered the field.
A man was squatting on the ground eating an egg when Huo Junshan strode over and asked, "Are you getting impatient?"
Yun Ningyan shook her head. "No, I'm eating. Come and eat some eggs."
She beckoned to the man, and Huo Junshan, squatting in front of her, shook his head. "I'm not hungry, you eat."
Yun Ningyan was a little speechless. She peeled an egg and stuffed it into the man's mouth. "Eat up, you'll be better able to work if you're full. I brought a lot."
She ate one steamed bun and one egg and was full, while Huo Junshan ate three steamed buns and three eggs.
Yun Ningyan handed him the water bottle so he could drink some water to soothe himself.
Huo Junshan's ears turned slightly red as he looked at the water bottle. His mother had asked him to bring the water bottle that morning, but he hadn't.
Remembering what Yun Ningyan said about their indirect kiss, he was excited all day, and for some inexplicable reason, he didn't bring his water bottle today.
After the two finished eating, Huo Junshan worked for a while, but Yun Ningyan wouldn't let him do anything else.
It's outrageous that she doesn't do any work every day. Besides, Huo Junshan is a human being, not a machine. She still has 10 centimeters of work to do herself. It would be too tiring for her to finish her work as well.
Huo Junshan wanted to say he wasn't tired, but since she insisted, he didn't help her anymore.
Before he left, Yun Ningyan called out to him, "Come over at noon. I brought some food, but I can't finish it all."
Huo Junshan nodded.
Yun Ningyan worked slowly, only managing to work 2 centimeters a day, at most 3 centimeters. Huo Junshan had already worked 2 centimeters, so she only needed to work 1 centimeter more.
She dawdled until the sun began to set, then finished work and went home.
First, I went to the space to wash up and started cooking dinner. I cooked in the space as usual, and then, before everyone came back, I boiled a pot of water in the pot outside.
After setting out the food, they waited in the room for Huo Junshan.
When Huo Junshan returned home from work, his mother was already cooking rabbit meat, and his sister-in-law was tending the fire.

Huo Junshan didn't even look at her, and left with his lunchbox.

Enraged, Sister-in-law Huo immediately pulled Huo Jianguo back into the house.

Huo Changgen and Li Xiangyun were sitting in the courtyard. Huo Changgen was playing with the two children, and they could hear the sounds from the eldest son's house clearly.
“Once they all find wives, they’ll divide the family property. Seeing Wang Cuihong’s petty and stingy manner makes me angry!”
Huo Jianguo came out of the house and gave his mother an awkward smile. "Mom, I just taught Cuihong a lesson. She's just sharp-tongued, but she didn't mean any harm. Please don't take it to heart."
