"It's me."
When Jingmin saw it was her, his expression softened, and a faint smile appeared on his lips.
"What, have you been waiting long?"
He walked over and took her hand; his palm was still warm.
"Let's go downstairs, there's a new variety of flower you're sure to like..."
Chu Wuyang was pulled away by him, but her mind was in turmoil.
She instinctively turned around to look.
Yan Zhou stood there, staring intently at her, his eyes filled with hope and worry.
Jingmin held Chu Wuyang's hand as they walked through the garden.
Sunlight fell on his handsome face, but it couldn't dispel the fleeting gloom in his deep eyes.
He pointed to the tender green seedlings, deliberately making his voice light and cheerful.
"Look over there."
Chu Wuyang followed his gaze and looked in that direction.
Along the edge of the lawn, a neat patch of tiny flower seedlings stood, their tender green leaves swaying gently in the sunlight, revealing their fragile newborn nature.
Jing Min stood beside her, his profile softened by the light and shadow. He smiled slightly and spoke with great interest.
"I planted these seedlings myself."
He turned his head to look at her, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Guess what kind of flower it is?"
Chu Wuyang stared at his smile, somewhat dazed.
His eyes were as calm as a deep pool, as if hiding some true emotions he did not want to show to others.
She hesitated before placing her hand on the back of his hand, her fingertips touching his warm skin.
Just as he was about to speak,
But then I heard him chuckle and say to himself,
"You're so smart, you must have guessed it, it's your favorite white rose."
Chu Wuyang's heart tightened inexplicably, and she was about to say something...
Jingmin added softly,
"However, this is not an ordinary white rose."
His voice was low and gentle, as if carrying a deliberately crafted warmth.
"It's a colorful white rose, you've never seen one like it before, have you?"
"I've never seen it either."
He turned to look at the flower seedlings, a slight smile playing on his lips, as if he were depicting some beautiful future.
"Shall we wait here for them to bloom?"
Chu Wuyang's fingertips tightened slightly, her heart aching so much that she couldn't speak.
She looked up at the man before her, and finally whispered,
"Jingmin, I want to go back to Haicheng. I want to go home."
The air seemed to freeze instantly.
Jing Min's smile froze on his lips, and the light in his eyes flickered slightly.
After a moment, he lowered his eyes, as if deep in thought, his fingertips unconsciously kneading her palm.
There was a hint of compromise in his tone.
"Then, shall we wait a little longer?"
"We'll go back when the flowers bloom."
Chu Wuyang frowned as she looked at the flower seedlings that had just sprouted tender buds, and said helplessly,
"These seedlings are so small, I don't know when they'll be ready."
“We can go back and come back when the flowers bloom, it’s the same thing.”
Jing Min's fingers tightened, and his thin lips pressed into a thin line.
He lowered his eyes and gazed at the unopened flower seedlings, his voice strained and stubborn as he spoke.
"We'll go back when you're pregnant."
