Don't label me!
Chu Wuyang retorted sharply, her tone no longer restrained.
"Even if we meet, even if it's just to have a meal alone, so what?"
"Think about yourself? How many times have you traveled alone with Yunyang and spent time in the same room? Can you avoid female business clients and female secretaries in the office?"
Jingmin paused, seemingly thinking seriously, before answering firmly.
"able."
His expression softened slightly.
As if suddenly realizing the meaning behind her words, he paused slightly, revealing a hint of joy.
"Do you pay attention to the women around me?"
"Okay, let's leave Yunyang aside for now. I can replace all my secretaries with men, and I can delegate business female clients to the vice president. I can handle all of that—but what about you?"
"Can you avoid seeing Yang Jinchu?"
Chu Wuyang couldn't understand his thought process at all.
She brought these up only to illustrate that her interactions with Yang Jinchu were similar to his unavoidable and normal professional interactions, just like his social interactions with women—unavoidable and perfectly normal!
She never expected that he would actually go along with her and start "exchanging conditions".
She attributed these to the influence of Jingmin's mental illness.
"You have an emotional problem."
Her gaze turned cold, and her tone became more resolute than ever before.
I think it's necessary for your doctor to reassess the situation.
She turned to get her phone.
"I'll call Li Yan and contact your doctor."
Jing Min's face suddenly darkened, as if he had been instantly ignited, and his gaze fixed intently on her.
Are you questioning my sanity?
Of course he's not thinking straight! A normal person wouldn't do something so absurd.
The answer that almost blurted out in her mind was suppressed; she simply raised her eyes, her gaze resolute.
“I’m not sure,”
But I'm sure you need to see a doctor.
Her voice was so calm it was almost ruthless.
"You used to say you wouldn't undergo treatment because you were trying to conceive, but now that you're pregnant, what excuse do you have?"
Jingmin's voice rose, his anger finally becoming uncontrollable.
"You really want me to become someone else?"
"What if I recover, but you don't even remember me?"
"The doctor said you won't lose your memory!"
Chu Wuyang's reaction was equally impressive.
"She will only become a 'normal person,' not another person who has lost her memory."
Jing Min chuckled softly, his smile icy, and his gaze tightened little by little.
Is there a difference between a "normal" person and another person?
"If I recover, stop being obsessed with you, and stop treating you like my life—can someone as proud and arrogant as you tolerate this kind of change?"
Are you sure you won't leave me because of this?
She paused for a moment, then looked up, her tone still firm.
"No matter what, if you're sick, you have to get treatment!"
"Jingmin, you can't keep hurting others because of your own stubbornness."
His Adam's apple bobbed, his gaze dark and unreadable. Suddenly, he took a step forward, lowered his voice, and spoke each word with piercing force.
"What if I refuse to get treatment?"
"What would you do if I continued like this?"
"Would you abandon me and leave the children?"
The air suddenly became still.
Chu Wuyang's face paled, and she raised her hand to push him away.
Suddenly, he frowned, staggered, clutched his lower abdomen, and began to breathe rapidly.
Jing Min's expression changed drastically, and he instantly supported her.
"What's wrong? Are you feeling unwell?"
She was in so much pain that sweat beaded on her forehead, one hand gripping the edge of the sofa, her voice weak.
"……stomachache."
"Don't move, don't speak, I'll call a doctor right now!"
He frantically pulled out his phone, his fingertips trembling, and entered the wrong number twice.
"No...don't call the doctor."
She gasped for breath and grabbed his hand.
"What are you still being stubborn about!"
He almost growled, his emotions spiraling out of control like never before.
"What will I do if something happens to you!"
Chu Wuyang gritted her teeth, her gaze laboriously landing on his face, seeing his disheveled and flustered appearance.
"Let me go...don't touch me,"
She spoke softly, her voice tinged with a broken weariness.
"I don't want my child to be born and become a tool for you to control and dominate me."
She was breathing heavily, as if she could no longer speak coherently; her voice was so weak it was almost inaudible.
"...He wasn't even born...and he was used as a pawn by his father...it's so pitiful...it would have been better if..."
"Shut up, no!"
Jing Min gritted his teeth and whispered, his eyes filled with panic and pain.
"Don't speak... don't say anything more."
"Whatever you want me to do, I'll agree to anything... Let the doctor take a look first..."
Chu Wuyang closed her eyes slightly, her breathing erratic, as if even her consciousness was about to give way. Her fingertips trembled as she grasped the hem of his clothes, weakly uttering her last words.
"You...make amends to the Wen family...and then go see a doctor..."
Jingmin hugged her, his arms trembling violently, and he bent down to pick her up horizontally, his tone almost pleading.
"Okay... I promise you, I promise you everything."
