Chapter 340 Jing Min Takes the Blame

As everyone filed out, their footsteps hurried and chaotic, just as the glass door was about to close—

"Yan Zhou, stay here!"

Chu Wuyang spoke coldly, her voice not loud, yet it pierced through the crowd like a sharp blade.

Yan Zhou suddenly stopped in his tracks, turned around sharply, and subconsciously looked at the man in the main seat.

Jing Min stood ramrod straight, his eyes swirling with an unfathomable emotion.

With a slight raise of his eyebrows and a deep gaze, he stared at Chu Wuyang, a smile playing on his thin lips.

He said this half-jokingly, as if to ease the tension.

"What's wrong? Who offended Mrs. Jing?"

The air froze for a moment.

Yan Zhou's Adam's apple bobbed slightly, a hint of embarrassment in his voice, and he spoke in a low voice.

"President--"

Jing Min raised his hand, gestured with his eyes, and spoke with a casual smile.

"Leave."

Chu Wuyang tilted his head back.

"Jingmin, what else do you have to say?"

Jing Min squinted, his gaze sweeping over the scattered papers on the floor.

The smile in his eyes gradually faded, and his brows furrowed slightly.

Seeing Chu Wuyang's expression, he felt a slight tightening in his heart.

"What? You think I refused to save him, so you've come here to interrogate me?"

His voice was deep, tinged with impatience and inquiry; his thin lips were slightly pursed, and his eyes were like a sharp blade in the cold night.

A flash of anger crossed her face, barely concealed.

"Yangyang—"

His voice was low and hoarse; before he could finish speaking...

Chu Wuyang sneered, took off her sunglasses, and raised her red-tinged eyes to stare directly at him.

Jingmin's heart suddenly tightened.

—It really was for Jin Xian!

He raised his hand to rub his temples, his tone low and gentle, yet tinged with anger.

"So you think I'm stalling for time? I wasn't saying I was waiting for the results..."

Chu Wuyang threw away the sunglasses in his hand.

"Shut up!"

The air seemed to be stretched taut, and the temperature in the conference room plummeted.

Yan Zhou, standing to the side, silently lowered his eyes, held his breath, and stood ramrod straight.

Chu Wuyang's gaze was cold and sharp. He raised his finger and pointed to the paper on the ground.

"Take a look for yourself."

Jing Min frowned, slowly squatted down, and picked up the papers scattered on the ground. They were his psychological treatment reports.

He casually flipped through a couple of pages, his tone tinged with hesitation.

"Isn't everything...just normal?"

The next second, his fingers paused.

A note was prominently circled in red on the middle page—

"Patients are highly sensitive and adaptable, able to accurately capture treatment expectations and doctor's suggestions, and exhibit a strong tendency to conform and pretend, forming self-hypnosis at the subconscious level to avoid substantive intervention."

Jing Min's expression tightened little by little, his fingertips clenched slightly, and a hint of panic surfaced in his eyes.

Chu Wuyang stepped forward with a cold smile, staring directly at him, her voice chillingly cold.

"Why aren't you saying anything? Hmm? Jingmin, why aren't you going to continue explaining?"

"I didn't expect you to be such a good actor! You even fooled the doctor."

Jing Min raised his head, his Adam's apple bobbing, his voice low and hoarse.

"Yangyang, I... I really did go for treatment as you suggested, but I'm afraid that once I'm fully cured, I'll... forget about you."

Chu Wuyang's eyes suddenly turned cold, and her voice sounded as if it had been shattered by sharp glass.

"Excuse!"

She took a step closer, her voice low, almost uttering each word.

"You don't want to get better at all, do you?"

"You just don't want to lose that excuse—that shield that allows you to do those perverted things."

She took a deep breath, her eyes welling up with tears, but she forced herself to hold them back; her voice trembled.

"What exactly did Jin Xian do to offend you? Nothing happened between us, it's all your imagination!"

"Because of your jealousy and delusions, you're keeping him hanging on with a high-priced contract,"

"Send him back to your enemies, Jingmin, do you really want to see him die?"

Chu Wuyang smiled bitterly, her eyes filled with coldness and disappointment.

"And I trusted you so much, actually expecting you, an executioner, to save people?"

Jing Min's face instantly turned panicked. He hurriedly stepped forward, his voice low and hoarse.

"Yangyang, don't do this... What do you mean, send Jin Xian to the enemy and watch him die? I didn't do that! I swear—"

He wanted to reach out and hug Chu Wuyang, who was on the verge of collapse, but she suddenly dodged him.

She coldly dodged away as if she had been burned.

Jing Min's movements froze in mid-air, his fingertips trembling slightly, a dark look rising in his eyes.

He spoke in a low voice, enunciating each word carefully.

"Yes, I admit it. I did send him abroad with a contract because he was always hanging around you and had no sense of boundaries..."

"But what you said about sending him to the enemy to die—I didn't do that! I absolutely deny it!"

Chu Wuyang's eyes were sharp, and he chuckled softly.

"You still want to argue?"

She suddenly looked at Yan Zhou beside her, raised her hand, opened her phone, and showed the screen—in the photo,

Li Yan is negotiating with the Chen family.

"you say."

Yan Zhou tried to remain calm, but unconsciously took a step back, his eyes darting around.

His pupils contracted, and his face instantly turned pale.

How could this be...? Li Yan said he would try to get President Jing to distance himself from the situation...? He actually did it?

The panic on his face gave it all.

Jing Min's heart tightened. He took a step forward, picked up the phone on the table, and his eyes swept over the screen. His face instantly turned extremely grim.

He raised his eyes and looked directly at Yan Zhou.

"What happened?"

Chu Wuyang glanced at their expressions, gave a cold laugh, and her eyes were like icy blades.

"What, are you two planning to put on a show together?"

Jing Min's brows furrowed deeply, his Adam's apple bobbed, and he spoke weakly.

"Yangyang, listen to me, I really don't know—"
