Feng Mingshu's tutoring of Zhou Caifeng was designed based on her academic background and personality.
Feng Mingshu's sister-in-law is a bold and energetic girl. She doesn't object to her staying up late to study to a certain extent because the girl needs to make significant progress to solidify her confidence.
So that evening, Feng Mingshu explained some more lessons to her and then left her with practice questions.
When it was time for dinner, the girl ate her rice faster, but she didn't forget the brain-boosting eggs her mother had specially cooked for her. She peeled them, stuffed them into her mouth, and then ran upstairs to her study to continue studying.
At ten o'clock at night, when the couple was getting ready for bed, the light in the study next door was still on, and Zhou Jinshan glanced over there.
After changing into her pajamas, Feng Mingshu noticed her husband's actions and tentatively asked, "Old Zhou, do you think I'm putting too much pressure on my younger sister?"
Under the dim light, his wife's emotions were written all over her porcelain-white face. Zhou Jinshan couldn't help himself, so he put his arm around her waist, leaned down and kissed her, and chuckled, "Her pressure is nothing compared to what I, as her older brother, am under. I'm even careful when I kiss my wife now."
Feng Mingshu: "..."
She pushed the man away, scolded him for being "indecent," and then got into bed, wrapped herself in the blanket, and moved to the inside.
Zhou Jinshan followed her up, pulled back her blanket, and crawled in: "Ming Shu, we won't have separate blankets tonight."
The doctor advised against any sexual activity for the first three months.
Feng Mingshu initially wanted to sleep in a separate bed, but Zhou Jinshan disagreed, so they eventually changed to sleeping in the same bed but with different blankets.
The man's warm palm landed on her flat stomach, and Feng Mingshu trembled slightly. She reached out and pushed him away, saying, "Stop messing around."
Zhou Jinshan sighed: "Ming Shu, I won't make trouble for you. I just want to be closer to you and your daughter."
The man's hands didn't move, and Feng Mingshu noticed his earlier address: "Why do you think it's a daughter? Don't you want a son?"
“A son or a daughter is fine, but I prefer a daughter, a daughter who looks like you,” Zhou Jinshan said to her, his eyes overflowing with tenderness.
Feng Mingshu felt as if her heart had been squeezed by a large hand, both sore and swollen. She couldn't help but lean over and kiss the man's slightly stubbled chin: "I want to have a son who looks like you, so I can know what you looked like when you were a child."
As soon as the words left her mouth, a wave of shame washed over her. Feng Mingshu immediately turned around, only to be pulled into the man's arms by the waist.
The man's eyes shone brightly, filled with surprise and a hint of displeasure: "I wasn't very good-looking when I was a child, but I'm at my best now. Take a good look at me."
Feng Mingshu was extremely embarrassed and patted his chest: "When did I say you were good-looking? It was Mom who said you were very naughty when you were little, and I just wanted to see how naughty you could be when you were a child."
Zhou Jinshan immediately regretted it and said, "I should have told my mother not to talk about my childhood."
Feng Mingshu said smugly, "It's too late now, I already know."
“But there are still many things you don’t know. Would you like to learn more?” Zhou Jinshan asked with a smile.
"What... um..."
Feng Mingshu's voice and breath were swallowed up by the man, but this kiss was very restrained, gentle and lingering.
Perhaps due to the influence of hormones, my body wasn't particularly aroused, but I felt very content, as if my whole being was enveloped in warm spring water.
Gradually, drowsiness overcame her, and she fell asleep amidst gentle kisses.
Zhou Jinshan kissed his wife's forehead one last time, then got out of bed and left the room, heading straight to the bathroom.
The sound of running water filled the air, and a full fifteen minutes passed before Zhou Jinshan emerged from the bathroom, his body still damp with sweat.
With a snap, the living room light came on, illuminating the old lady's figure.
Zhou Jinshan quickly put on his undershirt: "Mom, why aren't you asleep yet?"
The old lady glared at him: "I also want to ask you, what are you doing all this late at night? Your wife is still young, if you mess up the baby and cause it to die, I'll break your legs!"
Zhou Jinshan: "..."
"Mom, what nonsense are you talking about? I didn't do anything."
"Do you think your mother is deaf and can't hear what's going on in your room? I wasn't sure at first, but then you came to the bathroom. How could I not guess?"
Zhou Jinshan: "..."
Unable to explain himself, he could only promise his mother that he wouldn't do anything reckless again, thus escaping her nagging and returning to his bedroom.
He paused again before getting into bed, then turned around, opened the wardrobe, and took out a quilt to spread on the bed.
The next morning.
When Feng Mingshu woke up, she found Zhou Jinshan sleeping beside her under another blanket, his breathing deep and even.
Perhaps because of her pregnancy, the mischievous little girl hidden in Feng Mingshu's heart emerged. She lifted the quilt, rolled over and pressed herself against Zhou Jinshan, grabbing the ends of her hair and lightly brushing them against his forehead, nose, and lips.
The man suddenly opened his eyes, which were bright and sharp.
Feng Mingshu tried to turn over and escape, but the man grabbed her wrist and then pinned her down, but he controlled himself so as not to press on her stomach.
Feng Mingshu immediately sensed the danger posed by an adult male in the early morning, but she was not afraid and even provocatively tilted her head back and bit his chin.
Zhou Jinshan tensed up and couldn't help but hiss softly, only to find that the naughty girl beneath him was still laughing. He lowered his head and kissed her, even biting her lip as punishment.
"Cough cough—"
Suddenly, the old lady's coughing sounded outside the door.
Zhou Jinshan immediately released his wife, quickly got out of bed to get dressed, and then pulled the blanket up for her.
Feng Mingshu was a little puzzled by his reaction until Zhou Jinshan opened the door and she saw her mother-in-law outside. Her face flushed instantly.
"Fourth son's wife, I want to ask you what you want to eat for breakfast?" The old lady stood at the door and asked with a smile. Her eyes quickly swept over the couple's bed. Seeing that there were two quilts on it, she breathed a sigh of relief.
Although the eldest brother's eyes were discreet, Feng Mingshu was perceptive and instantly understood Zhou Jinshan's strange behavior. How could she continue to stay in bed?
"Mom, I'll go downstairs and do it myself. You can rest for a day." She said as she got out of bed and put on her clothes, without even taking off her pajamas.
The old lady waved her hand: "What rest? I only cook all day, I'm not tired. You sleep a little longer, I'll go downstairs to cook, and I'll call you when it's ready."
After the old lady finished speaking, she went downstairs.
Feng Mingshu wanted to chase after them, but Zhou Jinshan stopped her.
Looking at his wife's face, which was as red as the morning sun, Zhou Jinshan felt guilty: "It's my fault for not communicating well with Mother. You sit in the bedroom for a while, and I'll go downstairs and talk to her."
Feng Mingshu punched him in embarrassment and anger, then kicked him out.
Zhou Jinshan came to the kitchen and saw his mother busy preparing breakfast. He felt a mix of emotions, but he still said, "Mom, we won't cook this morning. We'll eat at the cafeteria later."
"Why spend that money at the cafeteria? Mother can make it quickly." The old lady said dismissively.
"Mother, please stop. I want to tell you something."
