Chapter 59 Who is the White Moonlight?

The Li family was frightened away, and the neighbors dispersed as well.

Only Chu Xuanxuan remained lying on the ground.

Feng Mingshu walked over and sneered, "Everyone's gone, how long are you going to keep pretending to be unconscious?"

As soon as she finished speaking, Chu Xuanxuan seemed to finally wake up. She sat up and looked around blankly: "Where is this?"

"Are you pretending to be dizzy or just stupid?" Feng Mingshu's face showed impatience as he pointed to the courtyard gate. "No matter what you're pretending for, get out!"

Chu Xuanxuan suddenly started hitting her head violently as if she were going crazy. After a few seconds, she stopped, raised her swollen face, and stared at Feng Mingshu with wide eyes: "You are Feng Mingshu, Zhang Yunxiao's white moonlight?"

Feng Mingshu frowned: "What white moonlight? What nonsense are you talking about? Get out of here right now!"

Feng Mingshu completely lost his patience, grabbed Chu Xuanxuan, and pushed her out of the courtyard gate, but Chu Xuanxuan blocked the door with all her might when it was closing.

"Feng Mingshu, if you had been more polite to me, I might have taken pity on you and saved you this time. But now, you'd better watch yourself."

Chu Xuanxuan looked at Feng Mingshu with pity, then glanced at the beautiful little villa, shook her head, and turned to leave.

Chu Xuanxuan's steps were very light, but coupled with her disheveled appearance and blood still flowing from her chin, it looked extremely strange.

Feng Mingshu frowned.

"Mingshu, what's wrong?" Zhou Jinshan walked to her side and asked with concern.

"It's nothing, I just felt that Chu Xuanxuan was acting strangely, but it's none of our business, let's go in."

As Feng Mingshu spoke, he closed the courtyard gate and locked it, but this also blocked the light from the streetlights, casting a dark shadow.

She had just turned around when she bumped into a warm embrace. The man gently put his arm around her waist and said, "Ming Shu, wait a while before you leave."

His voice was low and deep, filled with infinite ambiguity.

Feng Mingshu shuddered and pushed hard, saying, "I'm freezing! I have to go back inside. You can stay outside and cool off."

After saying that, he ran away.

A smile shone in Zhou Jinshan's eyes, revealing indulgence and doting. He had finally managed to marry this young girl, so of course he had to spoil her.

He strode forward to keep up with the little girl.

Feng Mingshu went inside, taking off his coat as he asked his mother, "Mom, what are we making tonight? I'll help you."

Yu Jingqiu was sitting leisurely on the sofa reading the newspaper when she heard this. She looked up and pointed behind her daughter: "You should ask Xiao Zhou. He's the head chef tonight."

Feng Mingshu turned around in surprise. Zhou Jinshan was taking off his military uniform coat and said to her with a smile, "Tell me what you want to eat, and I'll see if the kitchen has enough ingredients."

He started unbuttoning his shirt, one button at a time, revealing a military green shirt underneath, the outline of his muscles faintly visible. Feng Mingshu quickly looked away and scoffed, "So, as long as there's food, you can order anything?"

Zhou Jinshan looked down at his shy wife who had turned her face away, put on his coat, and chuckled, "Come to the kitchen with me, you can try it out."

When the man leaned down to speak, his breath almost brushed against her earlobe. Feng Mingshu glared at him, embarrassed and annoyed. Then, she turned to her younger siblings and said, "Xiaoyu and Xiaoxue, we can order tonight. Do you want to go to the kitchen together?"

The twins' eyes lit up, but the boy remained reserved, pursing his lips, while the little girl looked innocent and sweetly asked, "Brother-in-law, can I order too?"

Zhou Jinshan glanced at his cunning wife, then nodded gently to the twins: "Of course, come on over."

The twins happily followed their older sister and brother-in-law to the kitchen.

On the other side, Chu Xuanxuan followed her memory toward the cotton mill, but was stopped by the Li family as soon as she crossed an intersection.

"What are you going to do?" Chu Xuanxuan asked in alarm, backing away.

"What are you pretending for, you little hussy? You hit me and didn't offer any compensation. What are you dreaming of?" Old Mrs. Li was frightened at the Feng family's house, and the more she thought about it, the more unwilling she became. So she brought her son and daughter-in-law to block the intersection, and sure enough, they blocked Chu Xuanxuan. She waved her hand and said, "Search her!"

"Ah, let me go, help... Waaaaah..."

A minute later, the three daughters-in-law of the Li family released Chu Xuanxuan and handed over an eraser: "Mother, this is all we have."

Old Mrs. Li grabbed the eraser, stuffed it into her pocket, and spat at Chu Xuanxuan with disgust: "Pah, you poor wretch!"

Chu Xuanxuan was so angry that her eyes turned red. She straightened her clothes and shouted, "You thugs and robbers, I'm going to report you to the police!"

"Fine, go ahead and sue. Ask the police if a woman being pulled or shoved counts as hooliganism or robbery. Let the police take a look at my injuries and see if this eraser is enough to cover my medical expenses!" Old Mrs. Li snorted, then waved to her son and daughter-in-law and left in a grand procession.

Chu Xuanxuan was so angry that she cried: "What kind of people are these? What kind of world is this?"

"Young lady, go home quickly and stay away from Old Lady Li in the future," a neighbor kindly advised as he passed by.

Chu Xuanxuan immediately turned around and questioned, "You clearly saw them bullying me just now, why didn't you help me?"

The neighbors looked at her in surprise: "Are you out of your mind? If I hadn't been watching, the Li family would have stripped you of your cotton-padded coat, you believe it or not?"

Regardless of whether she believed it or not, the neighbor scoffed and left.

"This shouldn't be the case. Aren't people supposed to be kind and righteous in this era?" Chu Xuanxuan suddenly felt a sense of disillusionment.

But then she remembered something, and Chu Xuanxuan cheered up again. She straightened her clothes and ran towards the cotton mill family compound she remembered.

Upon arriving at the family compound, they did not return to the Chu family's residence, but went straight to the Zhang family's residence.

However, Chu Xuanxuan was unable to enter the Zhang family's residence because a major battle was taking place there, and many neighbors had come to mediate.

Chu Xuanxuan couldn't squeeze in, but she could hear the arguing inside and Zhang Yunxiao's indifferent and calm voice.

"Whether you agree or not, I've already signed the form for going to the countryside. Tearing it up won't do you any good; the neighborhood committee has a copy."

Chu Xuanxuan's eyes widened suddenly. Was it because she transmigrated into the book in the wrong way?

It's early 1966 now, before the movement even started, so how come the male lead, Zhang Yunxiao, went to the countryside two years early?

Chu Xuanxuan slapped her head hard, trying to search for the original owner's memories and the contents of the novel called "Sweet Pampered Little Wife in the 1960s," looking for possible differences.

Unfortunately, the female supporting character with the same name as her, Chu Xuanxuan, is just the male lead's cannon fodder ex-wife, and the story begins when the male lead meets the female lead in the countryside, which is in 1968, two years ago.

However, the subsequent plot of the novel does roughly describe the marriage between the male protagonist and the original owner of the body.

The male protagonist was forced to marry the original owner of the body. In the second half of this year, the male protagonist was depressed and drank alcohol. The original owner took the opportunity to climb into his bed, which became known to everyone. The two families had no choice but to arrange the marriage.

However, after marriage, the male lead became cold, and the original owner of the body acted out, causing the male lead to give up his job in the city and go to the countryside.

However, there was a reason for the original owner's actions: the male protagonist was still thinking about his white moonlight, who had been sent down for reform, and refused to share a room with the original owner.

But now, Chu Xuanxuan from the future has arrived. Forget about cannon fodder, heroine, and white moonlight. She's going to be the original, doting, and pampered wife!
