Chapter 20 Mr. Mermaid 1

The clinic at 9:30 in the morning was quiet and bright.

A young man in a white long-sleeved shirt was sitting in an armchair beside the bed, reading a book. He had a handsome face and a cold expression. The sunlight shone on him through the window, casting a halo around him.

"Out in the distance the water is as blue as the petals of the most beautiful cornflower, and at the same time as clear as the brightest glass. Yet it is so deep that no anchor chain can reach the bottom. To reach the surface from the bottom of the sea you would have to have many church spires connected one after another. That's where the people of the sea live."

When reading this paragraph, a picture appeared in the eyes of the young man in the white shirt.

In the vast blue sea, a mermaid with melancholy eyes slowly rises from the dark tide and sits on the rocks by the sea. She wants to sing, but can't make any sound. She can only look at her beloved prince holding hands with other girls and walking into the church with her melancholy eyes.

At this moment, a cat's meow was heard outside the door.

Simon stood up, opened the door, and saw his black cat squatting on the steps, looking up at him.

"Meow~!" Ming Huan greeted Simon.

Simon had no idea how much damage his cat had done to him. He bent down, rubbed the kitten's head as usual, and said in a gentle voice, "Be good, I'll go see a doctor right away."

Ming Huan wanted to squeeze into the treatment room. He missed the computer monster last time, and he must not miss any monster this time.

Simon quickly grabbed his cat, lifted it up by the scruff of the neck, and put it into Light Blue's hands.

"Qianlan, take Xiaohei out to play and don't let it disturb me while I'm seeing the doctor." Simon instructed the computer monster.

But the black cat was very unwilling, and it called out pitifully to Simon: Meow!

Simon didn't care if the little black cat could understand him or not. He patiently stroked its head and explained to it, "My bank card was stolen yesterday, and now I'm broke. I have to work hard to earn money so that I can buy you some dried fish. Be good and wait for me outside. Don't disturb me while I'm seeing my patients."

The little black cat was stunned, his eyes wide open, looking a little confused.

The dazed Demon Lord was taken out of the treatment room by Qianlan.

After leaving the clinic, the Demon Lord was no longer so polite and courteous to the computer monster. He transformed into a half-cat, half-human monster and interrogated the computer monster.

"Tell me, what's going on?!"

Light Blue was threatened by the Demon Lord, but she would rather die than yield, and she steadfastly guarded her master's bank card password.

"I won't tell you, you cat demon, I won't tell you anything!"

Ming Huan snorted coldly, looked the computer up and down, and showed his claws: "I have ten thousand ways to make a little monster like you speak obediently..."

In the examination room, Mr. Hai, who was very important to Simon's wallet, finally sat on the examination chair.

"My problem...I'm heartbroken and in great pain!" said Mr. Hai.

Mr. Hai's profile listed him as a mermaid, but now he appears as a human.

This was a sturdy human with a scar on his face, from his forehead to his chin. His face shape was good, but his hair was a little messy. The most important thing was his nose. It seemed as if his nose had been hit by something, and it grew crookedly on his face, looking a little deformed.

The only normal part of his face was probably his eyes. His azure eyes were still acceptable, but they held a trace of sadness.

In general, this is a mermaid that is so ugly that it is beyond Simon's cognition.

Psychologists don't mind their patients' appearance; they care more about their hearts. Simon thinks it's normal for Mr. Hai to suffer a broken heart given his appearance. Being able to fall in love is abnormal...

"Tell me what it's like to break up with your love," Simon said gently.

So Mr. Hai began his story.

He met his lover half a year ago. His love story is just like the story of "The Little Mermaid" in Andersen's fairy tale, full of romance and sadness.

On a stormy night, Mr. Hai went out to sea for a trip and encountered a cruise ship.

The storm on the sea was nothing to the mermaids, but it was the worst nightmare for humans. The cruise ship was torn apart by the storm and hit the iceberg, and finally broke into two and sank to the bottom of the sea.

Most of the people on the cruise ship died.

There was only one handsome human being, who was rescued by Mr. Hai.

Mr. Hai held the man and swam all night long until he reached the shore.

He waited patiently for the person to wake up, but he knew that he was too ugly and was afraid of scaring people, so he quietly hid in the foam on the sea and watched his sweetheart from afar.

The first ray of sunlight in the morning shines on the sea, and the sweetheart finally opens his eyes.

Mr. Hai hoped that his sweetheart could see him, but like all sad stories, what his sweetheart saw was not Mr. Hai hidden in the sea foam, but a beautiful and gentle woman walking towards him.

In this way, Mr. Hai fell in love with a human being; and in this way, that human being fell in love with another woman.

In order to get close to that human, Mr. Hai went to the sea witch to make a deal, exchanging his voice for human legs, to serve as the young man's bodyguard, enduring the pain of walking on his legs every day, just hoping that one day he could marry that person.

But three days ago, that person told Mr. Hai a bolt from the blue: "Ah Hai, I'm getting married. Do you remember? It's the girl I told you I met on the day I died! I finally found her. I just proposed to her, and she actually said yes. Oh my God, bless me! I've found my love!"

My sweetheart is getting married, but unfortunately the groom is not me.

If it was just a broken heart, that wouldn't be the worst. The worst thing was the deal he made with the sea witch: if his sweetheart married someone else, then Mr. Sea would turn into sea foam and become soulless.

"They will have their wedding today. I think that when the sun rises tomorrow morning, I will die... die without a soul." Mr. Hai's voice was hoarse, and his sad blue eyes looked at the psychologist blankly.

"If my sweetheart gets married, I will die... I will turn into sea foam..." Mr. Hai murmured, "I don't want to die... Doctor, please help me! Don't give me hospice care... I don't want to love that person anymore, I want to live..."

Simon sighed.

A psychologist is not a god, and it is even more impossible for him to stop others from getting married, and he does not have the divine power to break the curse of the sea witch.

But - a psychiatrist can change a person's heart.

The sea witch's prediction is that if the "sweetheart" marries someone else, Mr. Hai will die.

So, it should be possible to get Mr. Hai to change his lover within an hour!
