Chapter 704 Hateful Aunt Zhao
Huo Donglin's lunch was brought from home by the servant, just in time for the shift change.
The Huo family gave meal allowances to the servants so that they could eat in the hospital cafeteria.
She just went to the cafeteria to buy food.
The person designated by Lin Jiamin to take care of Huo Donglin was naturally his confidant.
As soon as the servant saw Xue Jun sitting across from Huo Donglin, he immediately became alert and asked, "What are you doing here?"
She saw the extra braised pork on the table and, without waiting for Xue Jun to speak, she immediately shouted, "Xue Jun, don't you know that the young master can't eat greasy food when he's sick? What's your intention in giving him braised pork?!"
"I came to see Donglin. Donglin only ate a few pieces." Xue Jun bit his lower lip and defended himself.
Her voice was obviously much weaker than Aunt Zhao's.
"Aunt Zhao..." Huo Donglin wanted to say something.
Aunt Zhao interrupted him, "You came to see Donglin? You're just being sympathetic. If it weren't for you, how could Donglin have fallen ill? Why don't you leave now? Are you waiting for me to chase you away?"
Xue Jun glanced at Huo Donglin awkwardly, "Can you wait until I finish my meal and then leave?"
"Go now and take your braised pork with you! Whoever wants to eat it can have it!"
As she spoke, Aunt Zhao went to bring the plate of braised pork from the table.
"Aunt Zhao, what are you doing?" Huo Donglin was annoyed and had a stern face.
Aunt Zhao didn't listen to him. She picked up the plate and stuffed it into Xue Jun's hand, "Take it and go!"
Xue Jun tried to avoid it and didn't want to take it, but Aunt Zhao used all her strength and pushed Xue Jun into her arms.
With a "pop".
The plate fell to the ground, and the braised pork soup stained Xue Jun's body. The crystal fat rolled down Xue Jun's clothes and onto the ground.
For a moment, all three of them were stunned.
Xue Jun looked down at the dirt on his body and didn't know what to do for a moment.
Huo Donglin was the first to react and quickly took a tissue to wipe her clean.
Xue Jun also took two tissues and stained them with the soup on his clothes.
However, the soy sauce-colored juice had already soaked into the fabric, and even after wiping the surface clean, there were still patches of brown-red dirt left on the clothes.
Aunt Zhao saw this and rolled her eyes, complaining, "I told you to take it, so you took it. You were so stubborn! You deserve it!"
"Aunt Zhao, stop talking!" Huo Donglin frowned, looking annoyed.
Xue Jun looked at the braised pork on the ground and sighed, "Looks like I can't eat it. Donglin, I'll be leaving first. You eat well."
"...Well, Aunt Xue, take care."
Huo Donglin responded softly, feeling very sorry.
Aunt Xue came to see him specially, but she didn't even have lunch.
Moreover, the skirt Aunt Xue was wearing seemed to be a limited edition of a certain brand. It was stained in so many places that I wondered if it could be dry-cleaned.
Aunt Xue didn't care about Aunt Zhao at all.
Thinking of this, and thinking about the past, Huo Donglin hated Aunt Zhao more and more.
He sat down again with a sullen face and continued eating without saying a word.
Aunt Zhao, however, didn't show any interest in this. She picked up the fallen braised pork and threw it into the trash can while nagging, "Donglin, how could you be so close to that woman? Don't you know that she's the mistress who stole your father?"
"She's only been at the Huo family for a few days, and she's already pissed you off, and you're still calling her aunt? I'm telling you, she has no good intentions. She's a grown-up, doesn't she know you can't eat greasy food right now?"
Aunt Zhao took the mop again and continued to mop the floor, "Children of your age have no idea what is good and bad. You think that those who follow your will are good people. Bah! That's called flattery. Don't be fooled by your mother's strict control over you. She really does have your own good. You'll understand when you grow up."
"Aunt Zhao, could you please stop talking?!" Huo Donglin was so annoyed that he had no appetite at all and put down his chopsticks.
Aunt Zhao refused to do so. "Don't think Aunt Zhao's words are unpleasant to the ear. Aunt Zhao is doing this for your own good. Let me tell you, every mistress is a good person..."
Huo Donglin closed his eyes, climbed onto the hospital bed, and covered his head with the quilt.
Aunt Zhao is so annoying.
From childhood to adulthood, Aunt Zhao has always followed him, taken care of him, monitored him, reported his movements in detail, and then conveyed his mother's orders.
She always lectured him like an adult, made decisions for him as if it was for his own good, and never cared about his thoughts and opinions.
Whenever he complained to his mother, Aunt Zhao would cry with an innocent look on her face and say that she was doing it for his own good.
But my mother always sided with Aunt Zhao, saying that she was kind and asked him to be understanding.
He remembered one time in Jiangcheng, when he was playing on the slide in the park, he accidentally bumped into a little girl. The girl's mother saw it and came over to ask him to apologize.
He was about to say sorry when Aunt Zhao appeared out of nowhere and stopped him, throwing a tantrum and making threats, which was embarrassing and attracted many people to watch.
Being stared at with disgust, Huo Donglin felt terrible at the time, but Aunt Zhao didn't listen to him and continued to do as she pleased.
The matter was eventually reported to the police. Aunt Zhao acted disrespectful in front of the police, which made him so angry that he became ill.
My mother rushed to the hospital, but Aunt Zhao completely put the blame on others, saying that he had an asthma attack because he was angry at the mother and daughter.
My mother also believed Aunt Zhao's words and forced her to apologize.
No matter what he said, they didn't care or take it seriously. They always acted according to their own ideas under the banner of doing good for him.
For example, this time, he told his mother that he didn't want Aunt Zhao to accompany him, but his mother still left Aunt Zhao in the hospital.
Aunt Xue clearly did nothing wrong. She just came to see him and brought him his favorite braised pork. She didn't even lose her temper even when the soup splashed all over her.
But Aunt Zhao kept calling Aunt Xue a "mistress" and "having bad intentions", as if she was an unforgivable villain.
But Aunt Xue...is she really that bad?
The more Huo Donglin thought about these things, the more aggrieved and irritated he felt. Add to that the thin air in the quilt, and he soon felt a little breathless.
Aunt Zhao saw Huo Donglin ignoring her, and she curled her lips. After mopping the floor, she threw the mop into the corner, muttering, "This child is becoming more and more ignorant. Who am I worrying about?"
After she finished packing the lunch boxes, she saw Huo Donglin still suffocating in the quilt, so she reached out to pull his quilt, "Don't cover your head with it, you'll get suffocated!"
Huo Donglin suddenly opened the quilt and said coldly, "Aunt Zhao, I want to rest. Can you go out first?"
Aunt Zhao was stunned and accused bitterly, "How can you talk to your elders like that, kid? I've taken care of you for so many years, and now you're throwing shade at me for a stranger, for a mistress?"
Huo Donglin was becoming increasingly breathless, breathing heavily with his mouth open.
Aunt Zhao: "I'll tell your mother about Xue Jun's visit and ask her to deal with you... Donglin! Donglin?! Nurse, come quickly!"
