Chapter 402 The Rules of the Jiang Family

"It's not very good, not as comfortable as home," Lin Xi said casually, turning over in bed.

Fu Jingyao smiled; Xixi missed him.

He suggested, "Why don't we go home? I'll hold you while you sleep."

"I have something else to do." Lin Xi patted her cheeks. "Don't wait for me tonight, I'm not going back for now."

Fu Jingyao grew anxious. "Xixi, what needs to be resolved tonight?"

"I don't know either. Based on my experience catching ghosts, they all come out at night," Lin Xi explained. "Don't worry, trust my abilities."

Fu Jingyao sighed helplessly, "Of course I believe in Xixi's abilities, but..."

After a few seconds of silence on the other end of the phone, six words filled with deep emotion came through.

"Honey, I miss you."

Lin Xi's ears turned slightly red, looking rather embarrassed.

She gently reassured her, "We've been apart for less than a day. Stay home by yourself, I'll be back soon."

Fu Jingyao was filled with resentment, and his grievances poured out from the phone screen.

Lin Xi's heart skipped a beat, and her voice softened involuntarily, "Be a good girl and wait for me at home, okay, honey~"

Fu Jingyao was satisfied. "Okay, call out again."

Lin Xi took a deep breath and shouted at the screen, "Husband, your wife misses you too."

After saying that, she quickly hung up the phone, her whole face turning red.

She's finally fallen from grace; how could she utter such cheesy words?

However, she really missed Fu Jingyao, missed his warmth, missed his scent.

Lin Xi hugged the blanket, called out "Husband," and went back to sleep.

As it grew dark, Aunt Wang brought in dinner.

After finishing her meal, she wandered around.

The East Garden is properly decorated and has normal feng shui. There is nothing strange about it. A faint spiritual energy hangs above, separating this place from the outside world.

Lin Xi stood by the window, gazing into the distance.

At 10 p.m., all five villas turned off their lights, plunging the Jiang family home into darkness.

Lin Xi opened the window and glanced down.

There's no one here, no ghosts, I'm about to jump off the building.
