Chapter 403 A Bunch of Idiots

Tonight is dark and windy, perfect for jumping off a building.

Lin Xi stood by the window, waited for the right moment, and jumped down without making a sound.

All around was quiet, and the pale yellow chrysanthemums swayed in the wind, casting a shadow.

Great, no one noticed.

Lin Xi strolled leisurely towards the front gate, using one hand to support herself against a nearby tree as she skillfully scaled the wall.

My calf suddenly felt heavy, and I heard sobbing behind me.

"Little sister, why did you run away at night? Did we do something wrong? Waaah!"

Where did this whining monster come from?

Lin Xi almost fell, and she looked back.

Jiang Ji stared straight up, her peach blossom eyes wet and looking pitiful.

Lin Xi couldn't stand seeing others cry, so she offered a curt reassurance, "I slept too soundly this afternoon and my body is lacking oxygen. I'm going out for a walk and will be right back."

Jiang Ji didn't believe it, her shoulders trembling. "Sister, I want to go too, please take me."

"Okay, let's watch the moon together." Lin Xi stretched out a hand. "Grab me, or I'll throw you out."

Jiang Ji looked puzzled, "What...?"

Before he could finish speaking, he experienced the allure of "losing".

He was thrown into the air and fell from inside the wall to outside, his tailbone aching and sore.

"Ouch~"

Jiang Ji grimaced in pain, his face contorted.

Lin Xi landed safely and immediately covered his mouth, "Shh~ Keep your voice down, or I'll throw you back."

Jiang Ji rubbed his bottom and scrambled to catch up, saying, "Little sister, I'm fine, I'm fine."

He absolutely couldn't let his sister down on their first outing.

Although my butt hurt, I felt sweet inside.

Jiang Ji looked up and grinned foolishly, "Look at the moon, hee hee."

Only a few stars hung in the sky, and the moon was nowhere to be seen.

If there's no moon, then let's look at my sister.

My younger sister is prettier than the moon.

Jiang Ji clutched his buttocks, the pain instantly subsiding. "Let's go, the twin uncles' villa is at the end of this road."

Just as the two lifted their feet, a slender figure scaled the wall, making a soft sound.

He was dressed in black, wearing a black mask, and his hat was pulled down very low, revealing his clean and sharp features.

He saw the two people in front of him and was clearly shocked.

What are you doing here?

What are you doing here?

Three voices rang out simultaneously.

Lin Xi raised an eyebrow slightly, "You were following me too?"

"What does 'also' mean?"

Jiang Chi, with one hand in his pocket and a casual tone, asked, "I'm going to the lab next door. Where are you guys planning to sneak off to?"

Jiang Ji didn't know how to reply, and subconsciously looked at his younger sister.

Lin Xi crossed her arms and said frankly, "Taking a walk, watching the moon, and breathing fresh air."

"Taking a walk in the evening, sister, your hobby is quite unique." Jiang Chi slightly raised his chin, as proud as ever.

Lin Xi pulled Jiang Ji away, saying, "We're on different paths, so let's part ways here. We won't see each other again tonight."

Jiang Ji nodded in agreement, sticking out her tongue triumphantly, "My sister is right, never again."

Jiang Chi stared intently at the two of them, a faint light flickering in his eyes, before finally taking a step and following them.

Jiang Ji retorted, "What are you doing here?"

Jiang Chi scoffed, "Meeting is fate, I'm going too."

And so, what started as a duo became a trio.

Unnoticed, a light was quietly turned on in a room in the East Garden.

Jiang Ting leaned back in his chair, toying with the pen in his hand, his eyes growing increasingly deep.

Xu Yancheng was so frightened that he dared not breathe.

President Jiang had instructed them not to go out during the day, but that night his three younger siblings climbed over the wall as a group.

They are so ignorant; they are practically trampling on President Jiang's dignity.

It's perfectly normal for President Jiang to be angry.

Xu Yancheng asked timidly, "Should we bring him back and lock him in a room?"

Jiang Ting slowly raised his head, a helpless smile appearing on his indifferent face.

Impossible, President Jiang has never smiled so gently.

Xu Yancheng looked again, and it was still the same cold and aloof President Jiang, as if everything just now was an illusion.

"President Jiang?"

Jiang Ting glanced at him indifferently and said, "Get out."

"ah?"

Xu Yancheng's IQ briefly went offline, and he quickly tried to make up for it, "I understand, capture the escaped second young master, third young master and... young lady."

Hearing his assistant's ridiculous words, Jiang Ting, unusually, did not get angry and patiently repeated them.

"No need to arrest anyone, go and rest."

Xu Yan was flattered and stammered, "Yes, yes, okay, President Jiang."

Tonight, President Jiang is unusually gentle, which is even more frightening.

Xu Yancheng quickly slipped away and gently closed the door.

The huge room was eerily quiet, with only one person inside.

Jiang Ting closed his eyes to rest for a while, then turned on his computer and brought up the live monitoring screen.

Besides the main courtyard of his grandfather's house, every part of the Jiang family's home was covered with surveillance cameras, so that every move they made was under his watchful eye.

The live feed started playing, and Jiang Ting spotted three familiar figures within seconds.

The two younger brothers hid behind their sister, looking left and right like thieves.

Jiang Ting scoffed.

A bunch of idiots.

...

Under the cover of night, the Jiang family home resembled a giant cage.

It's so quiet here, there are no birdsong, no cicada chirps, and not even a ghost.

Once outside the East Garden, the vitality suddenly diminished; the trees along the road were wrinkled and barren, neither flowering nor bearing fruit.

What good can there be in a place that even animals don't want to come to?

The three of them walked to an ordinary-looking villa. There were no lights on inside, and it was pitch black all around.

Jiang Ji's eyes widened. "Where am I?"

Jiang Chi glanced at him with disdain. "I've lived in this house for twenty years and I know it's my twin brother, Jiang Congyue."

Lin Xi remembered, "That smiling tiger."

“Yeah, he’s all smiles at everyone, he’s got mental issues.” Jiang Chi adjusted his hat. “This guy is too cunning, you can’t find anything on the surface. If you want to see some drama, go somewhere else.”
