When thanked for the first time, Little Golden Monster said shyly, "I didn't do anything."
"If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have a mother. Thank you so much."
Xie Ming suddenly sighed, "Alas, it's a pity that the gold brick was used up to treat my mother's illness, and I couldn't get my house back."
“That’s the old house my father left behind. It’s not worth much money, but it holds memories for our family.”
"I can't get it back, I'm so sorry to my dad, sob sob sob..."
Xie Ming cried again.
Xiao Jin got anxious and, just like last time, took out a gold brick.
Xie Ming snatched it away.
He lowered his eyelids to conceal the greed in his eyes.
“And my family’s ancestral land, I have let down my grandfather and my ancestors.”
Xiao Jin comforted her, "Don't cry, I'll help you."
He flew to the mine, and with a wave of his hand, cut down dozens of gold bricks.
Xie Ming froze, watching in disbelief as the gold brick flew toward him, glittering with golden light.
We're rich! We've struck it rich!!
This isn't a monster, it's a toad that can spit out gold!
Xie Ming lay amidst the gold bricks, his eyes brimming with greed.
He suppressed his excitement, "Not enough, is there more?"
With a wave of his hand, Xiao Jin sent hundreds of gold bricks flying over.
He didn't understand the value of gold bricks; these things are everywhere in Chawu Mountain and shouldn't be worth much.
Xiao Jin asked seriously, "Is that enough?"
Xie Ming replied, "That's not enough."
"Take it yourself."
Xiao Jin led Xie Ming deep into Chawu Mountain and generously introduced the place.
"Three gold mines, five silver mines, six copper mines, ten iron mines... That's all I have. I'm very poor and can't help you much."
Xie Ming stared intently at the mines, almost going crazy with excitement.
There are more than ten; as far as the eye can see, they stretch as far as the eye can count.
At least ten gold mines! Ten silver mines!
Why didn't this stupid monster tell him about such a good thing sooner?
These! Those! Everything is his.
Xie Ming: "Thank you for helping me. To express my gratitude, let me treat you to a meal. It's a human custom."
Xiao Jin was very excited, exclaiming, "Great! Great!"
He's never eaten human food, so it must taste better than gold.
Unexpectedly, he fell into a deep sleep after eating a meal.
When he woke up, his mines were gone, and Chawu Mountain had been hollowed out, leaving behind a desolate wasteland.
He used to count them every day, one, two, three... but now it's down to zero.
His mountains of gold and silver!
His rations!
"Ouch... Pfft! That hurts!"
Little Gold is a guardian spirit of the mines, and those mines are the source of his power.
The mine was gone, and he was seriously injured.
I sleep 23 hours a day to rest and recuperate, and spend the remaining hour looking for food.
The pitiful Xiao Jin wandered around.
I ate some wild grass; it was bitter and didn't taste good.
I felt dizzy after eating mushrooms; they were probably a bit poisonous.
He loved going to the mouse hole, where he kept lots of food, sometimes even meat.
"Are you a rat? You don't look like one."
A childish voice rang in her ears, and Xiao Jin was pinched like a ball.
He looked up and saw a beautiful and lovely human girl.
Those eyes were bright and sparkling, like the warm sunshine in winter; one look and you'd never forget them.
However, Xiao Jin has a psychological aversion to humans.
He can't forget how his mine was destroyed.
Humans are all bad guys.
"Let me go!"
The little girl obediently let go, her clear eyes filled with curiosity, without a trace of fear.
"I understand, you are a little elf."
Do you have an owner?
Xiao Jin snorted coldly and turned to leave.
He doesn't talk to bad guys.
The moment he turned around, he heard her say that.
"If I become your master, would you be willing to follow me?"
Xiao Jin paused, "What is a master?"
"The master is the master."
Those despicable humans, taking advantage of his lack of education, trying to trick him into becoming their slave.
Slaves had to do laundry, cook, earn money to support their families, endure beatings and scoldings, and empty the water used to wash feet.
He is no longer the naive Xiao Jin of the past; he is now a clever Xiao Jin.
Xiao Jin scoffed, "Only a fool would agree to that."
The next second, Xiao Jin turned around, looking at the juicy chicken leg with a gleam in her eyes.
The little girl said, "If you recognize me as your master, you can eat chicken legs every meal and sleep in a warm bed every day."
"If you get bullied, come to me. I'll help you get revenge. I'm super strong."
She raised her little fist, looking both cute and fierce.
A strange feeling rose in Xiao Jin's heart, as if she had known her for a long time.
He agreed.
It wasn't because she craved chicken legs, but because this human's soul was pure and innocent; she wouldn't lie to the little elf.
The little girl stretched out her hand, "My name is Lin Xi, and I will be your master from now on."
Little Jin flew into her palm, her voice soft and sweet.
"My name is Xiao Jin, your little elf."
And so, Xiao Jin followed its master to a dilapidated Taoist temple, where it slept on a drafty bed and ate wild vegetables from the mountains.
This isn't what we agreed on; where's his big chicken leg?
The innocent little elf has been tricked by humans again.
The owner wasn't like a scoundrel who would cheat people out of gold bricks; she would share her food with him.
Even the accumulated merit and golden light will be shared with him, even though he hasn't done anything.
His master wasn't lying to him about one thing: she was indeed very strong.
The owner also gave him a haircut, with a bowl cut and bangs, two red cheeks, and a kind and friendly smile.
Xiao Jin likes this paper body.
Lin Xi: "To be a little elf, you should be polite, smile more, and not scare people with a stern face."
Little Gold is a well-behaved elf. He listens to his master and practices smiling again.
