Jiang Yiyu was a little confused by her smile. "I had it custom-made by a designer and waited a long time! Doesn't it look good?"
Song Shengsheng picked up the ring and shook it at him. "Look at it for yourself. What's the difference between this and finding a small quail egg, putting it in a ring and tying it on your wrist? Such a large diamond should at least be decorated with some small diamonds to create a shape or something. Instead, he fixed the corners and set it directly on the plain ring. The ring is so thin, it's completely top-heavy. You wouldn't even dare to buy a fake one like this. Aren't you just being cheated out of the design fee?"
Jiang Yiyu frowned, uttered a long "hmm," and couldn't help laughing. "Don't you say it, don't you say it? It does feel a bit like what you said. But...don't you like this simple style?"
“I like simple but beautiful things, not pure simplicity.”
Jiang Yiyu sighed and took the ring from her hand: "Alas, I thought it was an extra surprise, but now it has become a joke."
"Although it's not pretty, it's still a surprise. Just remember to go home tomorrow and sign a gift agreement for me."
"Hey, whisper, are you allergic to romance? I just proposed to you, but you made it seem like you were going to separate from me."
Song Shengsheng shrugged, took the ring back from his hand, and put it on the middle finger of her left hand: "I'm sorry, it's mainly this diamond, it's really expensive, huh."
"You still huh? The romantic atmosphere is completely ruined."
"Then you can go back and make it up later, or I'll return the ring to you now and we can start over again. Anyway, no one says that people can only propose and get married once in their lifetime, so it's okay to go through the motions a few more times."
Jiang Yiyu became even angrier when he saw her indifferent expression.
He sighed irritably, turned his head to look at the big rock behind him, walked over angrily and sat down, saying angrily: "I'm a traditional person. Once I'm determined to be with someone, I will never change my mind in this life, and I will only get married once. Song Shengsheng, don't try to trick me. I gave you a chance to leave before, but you refused. Don't even think about running away in the future."
"Who said I was going to run away?"
Song Shengsheng walked over to sit beside him, naturally taking his arm and leaning on his shoulder. "I have a favorite line from a poem written by Li He during the Tang Dynasty: 'I don't know the height of the blue sky, the thickness of the yellow earth. I only see the cold moon and the warmth of the sun, which burn away human life.' Life is but that. But with you, shallow affection is like the passing of time, deep love is like the long wind. The blue sky and thick earth, the cold moon and the warmth of the sun, even a hundred years of human life are not enough to wear them away."
"Does it mean you love me?"
"Well, yes, it means I will always love you."
Jiang Yiyu was secretly delighted and forced a smile. He cleared his throat and took out his ring from his pocket with a bit of arrogance and handed it to Song Shengsheng: "Put it on me."
Song Shengsheng laughed and said, "Are you proposing, or am I proposing?"
"I'm proposing, but this is a men's ring, mine. Even if you're the most respected person in our family, you can't be the only one wearing the ring!" He extended his hand towards Song Shengsheng again: "Hurry up, I'm waiting."
Song Shengsheng took the ring and gently pushed it on his ring finger: "How careless."
"It wasn't a hasty plan. I thought you might not be able to guess what I was going to do at first, and then, as you were lost in the night view in the distance, I'd quickly pull out a ring and put it on your finger. You'd look at the ring and be incredibly touched. Then I'd quickly pull out another ring and surprise you. Who knows, you might even be moved to tears. But, I failed at the first stage. Song Shengsheng, what on earth did you eat to grow up? It's okay that you're brave, but you're also so clever. You left me no chance of survival."
"It has nothing to do with what you ate when you grew up. I just know you too well." She looked at the ring on her hand carefully again, listened to the rustling sound of leaves in the wind, and suddenly she wanted to tease Jiang Yiyu.
While Jiang Yiyu was immersed in complaining about his failed proposal, she suddenly put her arm around his shoulders, lowered his head, leaned over, and whispered nervously, "Brother Yiyu, I want to tell you something."
Jiang Yiyu suddenly became nervous: "Go ahead."
"Did you just hear footsteps behind us? That crunching, crunching sound of branches and leaves being crushed?"
Jiang Yiyu slowly frowned: "No, you heard it wrong."
He was about to turn around when Song Shengsheng patted his shoulder and stopped him: "Shh, don't look back. Have you heard the old saying? People have three fires in their bodies, one on the top of their heads and two on their shoulders. If you are walking outside in the middle of the night and hear a strange sound, don't look back, otherwise, the fire in your body will be extinguished."
Jiang Yiyu was most afraid of ghosts and gods. Song Shengsheng's tone was serious again. He didn't know if it was a psychological effect, but he seemed to really hear the sound of branches being crushed behind him: "My dear, don't scare me. This is not a deserted mountain. You can't be so mysterious."
"Then tell me, is there some pervert hiding here? A murder? Maybe we'll be found lying at the foot of the mountain tomorrow..." Her voice got quieter and quieter. Jiang Yiyu hissed and took a deep breath. He smiled calmly and rubbed his arms: "Stop joking. This is not funny at all."
"Really?" Song Shengsheng asked him again without changing his tone.
Jiang Yiyu looked at her eyes staring at him, swallowed nervously, and subconsciously moved his head away from her. But every time he moved away, Song Shengsheng moved closer, always keeping a very close distance from him.
