"Alright, please come in."
After saying that, the waiter called out to the inside, "A guest has arrived."
As Zhiwan and her companions walked toward the inn, another waiter came to greet them.
"Gentlemen, we offer accommodation here, or you can stay and eat together. Are you looking for a place to stay, or would you like to have both accommodation and meals included?"
Without thinking, Zhiwan answered directly:
"Including food and lodging, six people need four rooms."
The waiter greeted them warmly:
"Alright, please come upstairs, everyone. We happen to have a few superior rooms available today."
As they spoke, the waiter led Zhiwan and her group straight upstairs.
This inn was spacious and quiet, which pleased Zhiwan.
Luo Tianhe shared a room with Jiawang's mother, Jiawang shared a room with Yiming, Zhiruo shared a room, and she had her own room.
Although she only had a thousand or so taels of silver left from pawning the jade pendant, she didn't want to make her family suffer in terms of food and lodging.
After settling her family in and having dinner, it was nearly dusk. She was exhausted from traveling these past few days, so she lay down on the bed and fell asleep peacefully.
The next morning
Sunlight streamed into the room, and Jiawang's mother's voice came from the doorway.
"Zhiwan, get up and eat."
Hearing her mother call, she lazily got out of bed, stretched, and replied.
"I see."
As she yawned, she got out of bed and dressed, then pushed open the door and heard a lively commotion coming from downstairs.
It seems that Yong'an City is indeed a prosperous city; there are quite a lot of guests in this inn.
When she arrived at her parents' room, the food was already laid out on the table. Upon seeing her enter, Yiming went straight to greet her.
"Mom, did you sleep well last night? Are you hungry?"
Listening to the young man's warm words and concern, she asked curiously:
"Do you need something from me?"
