Chapter 2 The Unpleasant Other

"I refuse." Snape continued to flip through Irene's old books. It was too dazzling to read in the sunlight, but it was just right in the tree hole. The dark and narrow environment gave him a sense of security.

He agreed in his heart with what Peacock said, that he did sometimes look like a bat.

Peacock: "It's good for your health."

Snape: "But it's not good for my mental health."

"I don't care!" Peacock used magic to pull Snape out. "Can't we just run and jump and have fun on the grass, happy and free?"

"If you suck it a few times, you might attract this kind of creature." Snape closed the book, but did not retreat back into the tree hole.

He lay on the ground and let the sun warm his damp bones.

Peacock lay next to Snape: "11 years old, it will be here soon."

"It will take another six months," said Snape.

"Ah, that was quick." Just half a year, nothing to the fairy, but why did she feel it was so long?

Although the boy next to her is not her ideal contractor, she also particularly hopes that he can escape from his current environment and have a better life.

This family is like a stinking ditch at the door.

Even with the door closed, the clothes still smelled of smoke.

"I hate Muggles," Snape said, thinking of his Muggle father.

"Don't say that, I don't hate you." According to Snape, the peacock should hate all humans.

Snape, who knew a little about the relationship between fairies and humans, didn't say anything. He also wanted to know more, but Peacock didn't say anything.

"I really want to rush into that magical world and take a good look at it right now, but we don't know the way." Peacock really wanted to go and take a look right away, but he didn't know the way and had no money.

And it was also a problem how to tell Irene and the others. Although Irene and the others didn't seem to care about Snape, not caring and being indifferent to his disappearance were two different things.

Snape also wanted to see the bizarre magical world right away: "The wait at this moment will bring sweeter fruits."

Peacock disagreed with this statement. The fruit on the tree is tempting because it is gradually ripe and plump. However, the magical world does not look like a fruit on a tree. It is just there, and whether it is sweet or sour is unchanging.

It becomes beautiful because of fantasy, and it is lost because it does not conform to fantasy.

Besides—wizards are human too.

Compared to Snape's yearning for the magical world, Peacock's biggest wish is that Snape can leave his current life.

Fairies have no physical needs, and almost none of the desires that humans have, yet there are still disputes. The wizarding world will only be worse. Peacock has never imagined that that world would be a sweet one.

She only hoped that Snape could absorb the fruit of unknown taste and grow it into a tree that could withstand wind and rain.

He was suffering so much that Peacock felt heartbroken.

But she would never tell Snape about this.

Things that are too urgent will not be cherished by others.

This girl just wants to be artificial!

"Peacock, tell me more about your world." Snape actually cared about Peacock. She was the only creature related to magic besides himself and his mother that had come to him.

Moreover, she was stranded in another world, contracted with someone like him, and saw such a miserable human family...

He also cares about Peacock, but he won't say it out loud. This young lady has already been acting like a spoiled brat. What would happen if she knew about it?

Peacock: He's such a troublesome guy.

Snape: She's such a troublemaker.
