Peacock was telling a story when someone came over making a lot of noise.
Snape didn't know them, but when he saw their neat and clean clothes, he knew they were not children from Spinner's End, but probably children of residents from another street.
"Lily! Don't use that power again! Monster! I'm going to tell Mom!" a blonde girl yelled, but her voice stopped abruptly when she saw Snape standing up from the grass.
Snape looked at the flower blooming in Lily's palm and said, "You are not a monster, you are a witch."
Lily widened her eyes and looked at Snape unhappily.
Peacock reminded Snape: "The word 'witch' seems to be worse than the word 'monster' in your mouths."
Snape then remembered some of the bad uses of the word "witch" and quickly corrected it: "I mean someone with magical talent, a wizard who waves a wand and soars through the air with a broom."
He held out his hand, and a flower blossomed in his palm: "We are the same."
Lily watched this scene and involuntarily took a few steps closer to Snape.
"Lily, come back!" Petunia called out to Lily.
"But sister, he and I have the same talent." Lily didn't want to leave like this.
Snape was the first person she had met who was also gifted in magic, and she didn't want to leave just like that.
"It's up to you! I'm going to tell Mom!" After saying that, Penny turned and walked away, taking every step hard, as if telling Lily how angry she was.
Looking at Petunia with her hair flying like a lion, Lily finally chose Snape. She could go back and coax her sister, but if she missed Snape, where could she find someone with the same talent as her?
Lily walked over and said, "Hello, my name is Lily, Lily Evans. What about you? Mr. Mysterious Magician?"
"Severus Snape, hello Miss Evans." It was also the first time that Snape met a child with the same magical talent.
"Just call me Lily. Can I call you Severus?" Lily walked over and sat on the grass next to Snape. She has always been a warm-hearted person. At this moment, she patted the grass next to her and took the initiative to invite Snape to sit down.
Snape: "...Yes."
"So there are other people with the same talents as us, right? Just like in the stories?" Lily asked Snape excitedly.
Snape nodded, "Yes, but most of the time they are hidden, and only those with the same talent can enter that world."
Lily nodded, not quite understanding: "It seems I need an invitation to the wizarding world."
"Yes, you will receive the admission letter from Hogwarts when you are 11 years old, and then you can go to the magic school." Snape was looking forward to the admission letter delivered by the owl.
"Hogwarts, School of Witchcraft and Wizardry?" Compared to Snape, who at least knew something, Lily was the one who truly knew nothing.
Snape slowly explained what he knew: "Hogwarts is the only wizarding school in the UK. They send owls to 11-year-olds with magical talent in the UK. Then a teacher will come and take you to buy the necessary school supplies, and then you can start studying when school starts."
"Is it okay for someone like me who was born in an ordinary family?" Lily was a little worried.
"Of course," Snape replied.
"Will it make any difference?"
"I don't know." When his mother Irene told him about the magical world, there was some contempt in her tone when she talked about wizards who came from ordinary families, but she ended up marrying a Muggle.
He found it hard to understand why she looked down on wizards from Muggle families and why she ended up marrying a Muggle.
It doesn't seem to make any difference.
Lily looked at Snape for a moment, then smiled. "It shouldn't make any difference, since you've been so friendly to me."
They talked a lot more afterwards, and this time the initiative of the topic fell into Lily's hands. She seemed to have a unique charm and could easily become the center of the topic.
Lily talked about a lot of embarrassing things she did because she couldn't control her magic. Fortunately, her parents were not bothered by this. Instead, they were proud to have a daughter with unique talents.
Snape listened and occasionally said a few words. Peacock was very happy to hear it. He laughed with Lily from time to time and would respond even if Lily couldn't hear him.
"Lily Evans! If you look up, even the birds are going home at this time!" Penny shouted at Lily angrily with her arms crossed.
Their conversation was interrupted. Looking at Penny at the bottom of the grass slope, Lily sighed, "I should go back, otherwise Penny will be furious."
Snape was a little unhappy. Why did wizards have to be controlled by Muggles?
"Sev, will you be here tomorrow?" Lily looked at Snape expectantly.
"I'm only here when the weather is good." If it's a gloomy and foggy day, people have no desire to go out at all.
"Then I will make a serious wish before going to sleep that tomorrow will be a good day." Lily smiled and waved her hand and ran to Penny: "Okay, Penny, I'm here."
Peacock flew beside Snape and whispered in his ear, "Are you jealous that someone interrupted your conversation?"
"No," Snape replied.
"Don't try to hide it from me. I'm a fairy. I know everything." The peacock flew around Snape with a smug look on his face.
Snape put away his things and left first, turning his back to Peacock: "No!"
