At that time, she thought that as long as she and Snape were together, all problems could be solved.
But why was it Irene who told Snape?
Snape's mother.
Snape's mind was in a mess. On the way back, Snape suddenly had a slightly crazy idea:
If Tobias is still alive, send him to see Irene.
After returning, Snape found out that Tobias was dead, even earlier than Irene.
The police department buried them, and Snape paid the fee and went to the cemetery.
Two tombstones.
"Don't be like me."
The soil above is a little dry because the weather has been rare and good these days.
"I feel bad for you, but you don't seem to need our guilt."
When the breeze blows, you can smell the fragrance of flowers and grass.
"I thought about changing. I thought I just needed to wash the mud off my feet, but when I touched the dirt on my feet I realized it wasn't dirt, it was tree roots."
Snape came in a hurry and didn't bring any flowers. He just stood there.
"I'm so tied to my old life that I hate it, I resent it, and yet I can't leave it."
The little bird in the tree, which did not understand death, made a childish cry.
"I'm in too deep. I guess there's no turning back."
"Don't cry for me. I don't deserve you to cry for me."
"Severus Snape, I am glad that you have what it takes to survive."
Snape stood there, unable to cry, but feeling indescribable pain in his heart.
If only it rained now, his tears might mix with the rain.
But today is a rare good day.
A witch died just like that.
Peacock conjured up two bouquets of flowers and placed them in front of Irene and Tobias's graves for Snape.
"I have no parents anymore." Snape stated the fact.
Peacock couldn't say things like "It's better to be gone if I have parents like this." She just stayed quietly by Snape's side.
He didn't need anyone to belittle his parents anymore, he just needed quiet.
Give his painful heart time to heal.
But someone didn't think so. He walked over to Snape and asked, "Can I put the flowers here?"
"If you can't find your mother's tombstone, then please." Snape was in a bad mood and stabbed back without even hearing who was coming.
The visitor was not angry. He placed the flowers and said, "Then I should put the flowers here."
Snape: ...
He then opened his eyes and looked at the poor fellow who didn't know where his mother was buried.
Riddle.
"We both have no mothers and no fathers. Do you need me, a senior in the field of parental loss, to teach you how to live without your parents?" Riddle said.
Snape gave a stiff laugh. "I suppose I lived the life you describe while they were still alive."
The two of them are equally as funny as hell.
Why indulge in sadness? Parents like that shouldn't exist in the first place. Of course, he wouldn't say it directly. He would only use his own way to divert Snape's sadness.
You don't need to be sad, why should you be sad for those kind of parents.
He couldn't understand it, so he stopped Snape from doing it.
We are so alike, how can this make us different?
Riddle looked at Snape, ready to use his eloquence and emotional manipulation to make Snape forget the sadness of his parents' death, but he hesitated.
There were no tears, but why could he see Snape crying?
He reached out his hand to touch Snape's eye sockets, but stopped after seeing Snape retreat.
He changed his tone: "I guess they will be happy to know that you can live independently."
"Why?" Riddle had come here, and Snape didn't believe that Riddle didn't know what his parents looked like.
"Because my mother gave birth to me before she committed suicide, she wanted me to live. I feel that our mothers are the same."
Our mothers are alike, and so are we.
The difference is that Snape has eyes that can shed tears.
