Chapter 5 Admission Notice

It started to rain. At first they thought it was fog, but when the raindrops became denser and denser, they realized it was raining.

It was just a drizzle, and neither of them had the mind to open an umbrella. It was Peacock who asked Snape to stretch out his hand as a feint, and she cast a magic spell to produce two umbrellas.

"Hold the umbrella. Rain is one of the causes of hair loss." Peacock knew that they didn't like to hold an umbrella, but she also had her reasons for insisting that they hold an umbrella.

Lily originally wanted to refuse, thinking that this drizzle would only last for a short while and it would be too troublesome to carry an umbrella. So Snape told Lily what Peacock said truthfully.

Lily: ...

"Okay, thank you for the umbrella. I'm going home. Goodbye, Sev." Lily waved her hand. It was not a good idea to stay here in this weather.

Snape also waved: "Goodbye, Lily."

After Lily left, Snape and Peacock used invisibility magic to go home.

"Let's learn the spell to change the weather in the small space today." Peacock hated the damp feeling.

"Okay." Snape agreed.

After this stupid behavior, the two people became obviously closer.

They also know to stay home when even the bugs know it's bad weather, instead of squatting on the grass and talking to themselves.

"Sev, you are the most gentlemanly man I know," Lily said to Snape one day.

"Hmm?" Snape was puzzled. Could the word "gentleman" be associated with him?

Snape was indeed a child who was not very gentlemanly. As I said before, he was a child who lacked education in family, school and society. He was easily excited and lacked some qualities.

He hated his parents' yelling, but when he got excited he became like his parents.

Of course, we cannot expect a ten-year-old child to be calm and self-controlled, but it is absolutely wrong to yell and scream, and to use cruel words known to hurt others when the emotions are intense.

Peacock looked through the parenting manual for this. She didn't understand why a beautiful, charming and elegant fairy like herself should raise a child.

Then again, human children are really troublesome, but there aren't any in fairyland...

Well, there are more troublesome ones, but they are just more tolerant.

Lily shook her head. "Sev is a gentleman. He's well-dressed and clean. He never butts into arguments between me and my sister, and he never speaks ill of others behind their backs."

In fact, she didn't like anyone intervening in the quarrel between her sisters, whether it was belittling Penny to speak for her, or inserting the quarrel in a self-righteous way to make the sisters reconcile. Nonsense, if they wanted to reconcile, they would have done it long ago. It's your turn to be a peacemaker here!

She disliked mocking Petunia even more. Even though Lily was still young, she knew that would only make their relationship worse. It was better to be a peacemaker than the second option.

Lily also knew that her sister Petunia was often very rude to Snape, but Snape had never said anything bad about Petunia to her, nor had he ever held a grudge against her.

Lily was originally torn between her sister and her only magical friend, but now seeing Snape's concession, she felt a little biased.

Snape wanted to make a fuss, but Peacock looked in the mirror and said with pity, "Forgive her. She will never be able to possess magic in her lifetime. All her extreme behavior now is just jealousy and resentment. She is not targeting you, but herself who has no magical talent."

In short, every time Petunia was in a bad mood, Snape would think of Peacock's words and would not be so angry.

Because of Snape's "concession", Petunia also knew that it was wrong to bring her emotions to strangers, and occasionally asked Lily to bring the cookies she made to eat with Snape, which was her implicit apology.

Snape didn't like eating biscuits because they would stick to his teeth. He would only eat one or two and give one to Peacock. The rest of the biscuits all ended up in Lily's stomach. Then, in two months, Lily gained ten pounds.

Butter biscuits that are high in oil and sugar are indeed a weapon for weight gain. What's more, the amount of oil and sugar in their diet already exceeds the standard, which leads to this sad situation.

Penny: "Do wizards get fat too?"

"Not only will you get fat, you'll also die." Snape's harshness couldn't be changed in a short time.

Lily was exercising on the grass slope to lose weight, and Snape was sitting on the grass slope reading his book. Petunia glanced at it and asked, "This doesn't look like a magic book."

Snape: "Obviously."

"Wizards also read books by ordinary people?" Penny was curious. This didn't sound magical at all.

"Anyone with a brain will know that there are no worthless achievements of intelligent creatures, only fools who can't learn from others' strengths and make up for their own weaknesses." Snape said bluntly.

Are ordinary people weak?

The fact that they occupied such a vast land, started countless wars, and drove the fairies in the fairyland crazy shows that they were never weak.

He hates ordinary people, but he does not look down on them, because there is a fairy next to him who suffers because of ordinary people.

Penny thought thoughtfully.

Lily's extra fat quickly went away. She was at the age of growing taller, and with the nutritious food she ate and the exercise she did, the extra fat on her body went away in no time.

Girls develop earlier than boys, and now Lily and Petunia are both taller than Snape.

Of course, they only dared to say this secretly behind their backs. It was obvious that Snape would not say anything good if he knew about it.

Later, to express her apology, Petunia did not make cookies, but instead made something suitable for a picnic, such as a beef sandwich, and asked Lily to take it to Snape as a snack.

Snape, who was taught to be silent, became even more silent when facing Petunia.
