Chapter 57 Black Lily

On the first day of school, Peacock prepared bouquets of flowers for Snape and Lily as usual.

Lily breathed a sigh of relief when she saw the bouquet of flowers. She was always afraid that her arrival would disturb the peacock. Even though Snape said that was not the case, the peacock had not appeared in the past few days he was there, which made her a little worried.

Peacock also prepared back-to-school clothes for Lily, a one-shoulder, bow-knotted, waist-length knee-length skirt, paired with white calla lilies.

Snape was wearing a white shirt, a short suit of the same color, and high-waisted Margiela trousers. Apart from his mysterious black hair and black eyes, the only other color on his body was the bouquet of black lilies in his hand.

Riddle's teeth almost broke when he saw Snape and Lily coming to the train station with flowers.

James also gnashed his teeth. Unlike Riddle, who knew that Snape didn't want him to intrude on his friendships, he pounced on him like a wild dog. "Lily! You're even more beautiful after not seeing you for a holiday!"

Lily: ...

Snape: ...

Lily didn't want to pay attention to James, so she walked around and headed for the car. James and Snape had kept everything that happened last semester from her. She didn't know what had happened, but she knew it must have been related to James.

She was angry because of the two people's concealment, but in these few short days, she was coaxed by Snape, but she was still very angry with James.

Before getting in the car, Snape called Lily: "Can I borrow your owl?"

Snape did not buy an owl. Neither he nor Peacock liked taking care of pets, so they simply gave up this option at the time. But Lily had a cute white snowy owl. Just like parents would buy a mobile phone for their boarding children, Lily would often ask the snowy owl to deliver letters.

"Of course." Lily didn't ask Snape what to do, and handed the cage to Snape trustingly.

"Thank you." Snape operated for a while and released the snowy owl.

On the train, Lily was annoyed by James and went to the prefect's box. She was a prefect and had a separate box on the train, but after dealing with the prefect's affairs, she still liked to sit with her friends.

The atmosphere on the train was much more relaxed this year, as Voldemort's obvious "pro-Muggle" policy during the holidays made them aware of Voldemort's intentions.

Even though they were very unhappy, they did not dare to openly resist Voldemort, who had left a deep mark of fear on their souls.

Especially some students from Death Eater families, their parents have repeatedly warned them not to cause trouble at school at this sensitive time, how dare they not listen.

Those who dreamed of joining the Death Eaters after graduation became obedient, and naturally the others also became obedient. Half-blood wizards and wizards from Muggle families who noticed this change felt much more relaxed.

However, the situation between Slytherin and Gryffindor remained as hostile as water and fire. Some overly "lively" and "righteous" students in Gryffindor wanted to press on with their victory, but when they turned around, they saw a group of little snakes staring at them.

Snake: My boss has changed his mind, and my future job is uncertain. I'm already annoyed, and you're still stirring up trouble! Still stirring up trouble!

Some pure-bloods in Slytherin are extremely upset. Originally, relying on their bloodline, they would have no problem getting a position with the Death Eaters after graduation, but now they have to pass many tests to get a guaranteed job!

Spicy meatballs!

Some purebloods but no money and not very smart, especially this year's seventh-year Slytherins who feel broken.

Salazar! Merlin!

Why is it so difficult to find a job now? We’ve caught up with everything!

You guys take care of this!

I feel sad and want to cry, but I can’t.

Regulus sat next to Snape and watched today's news, ignoring Sirius who was sitting opposite him.

During the holidays, Sirius had a big fight with his parents and ran away from home to live with the Potters. The family had already expelled Sirius, and his mother was so angry that she fell ill. He really could not forgive his brother for what he had done.

Sirius pretended not to see Regulus. He leaned on the table and looked at Snape: "Where's your bouquet for the first day of school?"

He remembered that Snape would usually carry him all the way to school.

"It's none of your business." Snape replied coldly.

Sirius didn't care about Snape's indifference. He leaned over the table and stared at Snape: "You lived with Evans during the holidays?"

"I don't think this has anything to do with you." Snape knew how James and the others knew about this.

After Lucius accidentally let the cat out of the bag, he immediately sent an apology letter, but neither Snape nor Lily cared about it. After all, very few people knew where Snape lived.

"Do you like her?" Sirius continued to ask.

Snape glanced at Sirius sideways and said with a smile: "This has nothing to do with you either."

Sirius chuckled and pulled out a book with mysterious patterns from his arms. "It's a lost magic book from James's library. Who wants to take a look? I heard it's related to the Three Deathly Hallows."

He took this out naturally with James's consent. James didn't really care about the lost magic book or the three deathly hallows.

Books are meant to be read, but for whom?

Snape?

I agree reluctantly.

James looked at Sirius with pity, and then turned his study upside down with him, looking for books that Snape might be interested in.

It's not easy for his good brother either. Although it's not easy for him either, he still has to contribute to his brother's love.

James felt that Sirius was definitely not innocent when he spoke of Snape.
