Chapter 24 He suddenly lowered his head, a slight...

He suddenly lowered his head, and the slight height difference of just a few centimeters made him so close that he could clearly see Liu Duanhe's deep eyes and his own reflection.

The light spots cast by the overhead lamps resembled floating on a pool of spring water, bright yet tinged with a thin mist.

Liu Duanhe unconsciously frowned, but Feng Xingyun suddenly chuckled, picked up the pink and white beverage next to him, blinked at Liu Duanhe's eyes, and said without even looking at the English description on the packaging, "I'll drink peach juice."

He took a step back, turned around, and walked towards the dining table. Behind him, Liu Duan and her fair collarbone were flushed with a peach-pink hue, a result of the stimulation from his close proximity.

It wasn't until Feng Xingyun called out again that Liu Duanhe returned to the dining table and sat down.

The food on the table was still steaming hot, placed in front of the two of them, with a clear dividing line between them. Feng Xingyun glanced at the dishes but didn't care about the distance.

Feng Xingyun ordered some spicy dishes, which he ate with great relish. Despite the cold weather, he took off his coat and was sweating. He finished half of his drink in no time.

Liu Duanhe, however, was not good at handling spicy food. He only took one bite of his own side of the spice before his face turned red and he refused to pick up his chopsticks anymore.

He was always quiet while eating and ate very carefully, chewing slowly and deliberately. So it wasn't until half an hour later, when he talked to Feng Xingyun about the wake-up time for returning to school the next morning but didn't receive a response from Feng Xingyun, that he realized something was wrong.

At this moment, Feng Xingyun still had no expression as always, but even his wheat-colored skin couldn't hide the blush on his cheeks. His thin lips suddenly curled up after noticing Liu Duanhe's gaze, and he smiled lazily.

Liu Duanhe got up and picked up the drink beside him. Upon closer inspection, he was surprised to find that the alcohol content was over 30%. Feng Xingyun propped his face up to look at it, and he almost thought that Feng Xingyun was sober. However, he quickly dismissed the idea.

Because Feng Xingyun suddenly stood up, dragged a chair to sit next to him, and pulled him over from behind.

Liu Duanhe stumbled from his sudden movement and was pressed down onto his lap by the drunkard's uncontrollable strength, even getting a little bumped. Fortunately, only a thin layer of the drink in his hand remained, so it didn't spill.

His body remained stiff for a while before he reacted, propping himself up on his left arm and trying to return to his original position, exclaiming in shock and anger, "What are you doing?"

However, Feng Xingyun wouldn't let go, pressing him down and preventing him from sitting back. Liu Duanhe couldn't break free, so he could only support himself on Feng Xingyun's arm and lean back as far as possible. His narrow, slender waist was as supple as a curved blade, with beautiful and delicate lines.

In his memory, they didn't know each other well enough, so their relationship was actually an unstable castle in the air. Liu Duanhe was responsibly trying to build a foundation and establish consensus from scratch.

Therefore, he believes that intimate behavior is too early for them, and that they still have a long way to go in understanding everything that happened before today.

Feng Xingyun is clearly not in a sober state right now; it's hard to predict what a drunkard will do next.

Feng Xingyun gave another short laugh, probably laughing out loud to fill a year's worth of quota. Liu Duanhe was speechless.

Fortunately, he finally spoke, frowning as he said, "It hurts so much."

Liu Duanhe subconsciously looked down and immediately felt his injured eye. He lowered his brows and said, "Let me up."

Feng Xingyun shook his head and said clearly, "No, you don't want to be near me." His expression was obviously downcast when he said this.

Liu Duanhe thought that they were at least lovers, which was normal. After thinking it over several times, she finally suppressed her fluctuating emotions, softened her tone, and said gently, "I won't leave. I'll just sit next to you. I'm being pressed down on, and I can't straighten my back, which is also very uncomfortable."

He raised his left arm, gripped his chin with his thumb and forefinger, and lifted Liu Duan's delicate face in a gesture of attempt to control him.

"You are so beautiful," Feng Xingyun exclaimed.

The dazzling lights illuminated his fair skin and perfect features, making him look stunningly handsome in Feng Xingyun's swaying and hazy vision.

Liu Duanhe frowned and awkwardly turned his head slightly to the right.

Feng Xingyun watched intently, his thumb warm against the tip of the willow branch, tickling it. He parted his full red lips slightly, his voice as soft as melting cream, "Let me go, let me get up."

Feng Xingyun managed to hear Liu Duanhe's words with difficulty, and in a daze, he broke free from the ocean of despair. His whole body felt like it was burning with an unbearable fire, and every bone in his body seemed to be itching and growing. This restlessness was extremely unfamiliar to him, so he could only murmur, "Okay."

Liu Duanhe was finally able to sit up. He sighed, a noticeable red mark on his chin. Feng Xingyun touched the bracelet on his wrist, staring intently at Liu Duanhe's chin, and said blankly, "I'm sorry."

He didn't need to argue with Feng Xingyun, so he just said helplessly, "It's okay, it'll go away in a bit. Does your head feel uncomfortable right now?"

This bottle of juice was more like a bucket than a bottle, holding a full liter, and Feng Xingyun had almost finished it. Liu Duanhe wanted to sigh again; taking care of a drunkard who was out of his mind was definitely no easy task.

Feng Xingyun's body was still upright, but his face was turned towards him. "I'm fine, it doesn't hurt, I just feel dizzy and nauseous."

Liu Duanhe felt awkward watching him, but after a moment, he raised his hand and turned the man's body to face him as well.

Now that everything was in order, Liu Duanhe felt a little better. "I'll buy you some hangover medicine; we probably don't have any in the first-aid kit at home."

Speaking of medicine, he realized he hadn't taken his own medication yet—the one prescribed by the hospital for treating concussion. He had been taking it every day and had indeed felt that his occasional dizziness and headaches were getting milder.

Liu Duanhe had just stood up when he was pulled back. Feng Xingyun grabbed his left hand and stared at him.

His obsessive-compulsive disorder had almost numbed him, and he could only tell himself to wash later. Feng Xingyun was so drunk that his body temperature was noticeably elevated, which scalded Liu Duanhe, causing him to instinctively pull his hand away.

Feng Xingyun suddenly gripped his hand tightly. Liu Duanhe pursed his lips and coaxed him, "I'll go find the medicine box and get the medicine."

He then let go of her hand, closed his eyes, and leaned back in his chair to rest, but his thick brows remained furrowed, clearly indicating that he was uncomfortable.

After finding the medicine box, Liu Duanhe rummaged through it and, as expected, found no hangover medicine. He himself never drank unless absolutely necessary, nor had he ever brought anyone home. Secretary Wei hadn't prepared any, and he didn't know how the bottle of alcohol disguised as a soft drink had been mistakenly placed there. After checking, Liu Duanhe poured two glasses of water and placed the medicine he needed on the dining table.

As soon as he sat down, Feng Xingyun opened his eyes and moved closer, instantly eliminating the distance that Liu Duanhe had intentionally created.

Liu Duanhe, wanting to avoid the hassle, opened his food delivery app and ordered several hangover remedies. He then pushed a glass of water in front of Feng Xingyun, and, worried that he might not understand, he commanded him, "Drink some water, finish this whole glass."

Even when drunk, Feng Xingyun's behavior was still alright; he remained quiet, but he kept touching him inappropriately, with such force that even someone like Feng Xingyun, who trained regularly, couldn't handle it. However, given Feng Xingyun's years of athletic training, this was understandable.

Fortunately, he's relatively easy to appease, and not as troublesome as he imagined.

Even compared to his cold and disdainful demeanor when he was sober, he was quite nice being quiet now. With some leisure time, Liu Duanhe watched with a bit of curiosity as Feng Xingyun took the cup and drank it all in one gulp.

He patted his buzz cut and praised him without reservation, saying, "Very good. If you need to go to the bathroom or want to drink water later, just tell me immediately."

Feng Xingyun looked at him silently with his dark eyes, seemingly unsure whether he had understood. Liu Duanhe patiently repeated it again, and Feng Xingyun finally responded, frowning as if in thought, and gave a deep "hmm".

To help Feng Xingyun metabolize the alcohol quickly, Liu Duanhe poured another glass of water and placed it in front of him, saying, "Drink this glass of water slowly this time."

Feng Xingyun nodded slowly after a while, but Liu Duanhe was not impatient and smiled with satisfaction.

The medicine he ordered was delivered very quickly. At first, the security guard wouldn't let him in, but Liu Duanhe asked the deliveryman to give his phone to the security guard and say a few words before letting him into the community to deliver it downstairs.

In the residential complex, residents on each floor can only access the corresponding elevator. Liu Duanhe needed to go down to get the medicine, but Feng Xingyun, after drinking, became very clingy to him for some reason and insisted on following him. He had no choice but to resign himself to taking him down to get the medicine.

Feng Xingyun's face was still red. When he stood up, his tall figure swayed. Before Liu Duanhe could hesitate whether to help him or not, he spontaneously grabbed his shoulders and put his arm around Liu Duanhe.

Without any sense of proportion, he placed all his weight on Liu Duanhe, almost causing him to stumble before he could react.

With a dark expression, he helped Feng Xingyun to his feet and dragged the large dog downstairs. He was now glad that the building had an elevator; if they had taken the stairs, he would have just ignored him. As for hangover medicine, he could just sleep it off and be fine tomorrow.

Because of Feng Xingyun's lack of cooperation, it took them quite a while to come downstairs, and the deliveryman made another phone call on the way.

While apologizing, Liu Duanhe pulled the swaying Feng Xingyun and walked quickly. He finally breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the yellow figure.

The deliveryman waiting downstairs glanced at them several times, mainly because of their posture. Feng Xingyun had gone even further, wrapping his arms around his neck and burying his head in his chest, blocking him and the deliveryman.

Meeting the deliveryman's curious gaze, Liu Duanhe gave an awkward smile, "Sorry, my boyfriend is drunk."

After a moment of surprise, the deliveryman understood. He handed over the bag and stammered, "Oh, you two have such a good relationship. I wish you happiness."

Liu Duanhe struggled to free his arm from his chest, reached out to take the bag, and said politely but distantly, "Thank you, I'm sorry to have troubled you to wait."

The deliveryman casually said, "It's nothing," and rode off on his bike.

Feng Xingyun was still rubbing against his chest. Even though he was taller than him, he kept his head down and leaned against him. Liu Duanhe had never noticed before that Feng Xingyun liked to stick to him like this. Was this his true nature coming out or was he just drunk and acting crazy? He had heard that some people would even kiss people randomly after drinking. Could Feng Xingyun have this problem too?
