"Can it really be cured?" Ah Wei asked, somewhat incredulous. He said, "Let me shoot him dead and eliminate the threat forever."
"Tingting, don't worry, even though your uncle is dead, I will take care of you," Ah Wei said to Tingting, then said to Ren Fa, "Uncle, don't worry, I will take good care of Tingting for you."
"Let me try it first," Uncle Nine said to Ah Wei.
“No need to try, Uncle is definitely beyond saving. Let me just shoot him dead.” Ah Wei shook his head and said, “Tingting, get out of the way. Uncle is in danger of turning into a zombie at any time.”
'This guy's shamelessness has reached a whole new level!' Wang Han sighed, looking at Ah Wei. Ah Wei was planning to kill Ren Fa so he could get Tingting.
Ren Fa's face had turned completely black, not from corpse poison, but from anger.
Uncle Nine knew what Ah Wei was thinking, but he couldn't do anything about it. He looked at Wang Han and asked, "Wang Han, you just said that Master Ren was one of the 'half' you mentioned, so where's the other half? Has someone else been bitten?"
"Tingting, get out of the way! Your uncle might turn into a zombie at any moment. Your cousin will take care of you from now on." Ah Wei was still determined to kill Ren Fa so that he could rightfully take care of Tingting.
“There’s still half of it there.” Wang Han pointed at Ah Wei and said meaningfully, “It could become even more ferocious than a zombie at any time.”
"What?" Ah Wei was focused on killing Ren Fa and taking care of Tingting, and didn't hear Wang Han's words. However, Ah Wei's men heard them and immediately moved a few meters away from Ah Wei, raising their rifles and aiming at him.
"What are you trying to do?" His men, who had brought him along, all pointed rifles at him. Ah Wei was startled, nearly dropping his pistol in fright. He quickly forced himself to remain calm and shouted, "Are you trying to rebel?"
Uncle Jiu couldn't help but secretly give Wang Han a thumbs up.
One of Ah Wei's soldiers mustered his courage and said, "Captain, they say you're half a zombie and could become even more ferocious than a zombie at any time."
Upon hearing this, Ah Wei's face paled, but he calmly replied, "How could that be? We didn't encounter any zombies on the way."
"Are your legs shaking, your face covered in cold sweat, and your complexion turning pale?" Wang Han suddenly said to Ah Wei. "Those are signs of being poisoned by corpse poison."
"Clatter, clatter." Upon hearing this, the soldiers aiming at Ah Wei saw that Ah Wei's appearance was indeed as Wang Han had said, and immediately pulled back their bolts.
"I..." Ah Wei was even more frightened when he saw this. A puddle of water appeared on his pants. He had actually wet himself out of fear. But he still forced himself to remain calm and said, "But I wasn't bitten by a zombie."
"Does a zombie always have to bite you? Master Ren wasn't bitten, he was just grabbed by a zombie," Wang Han said. "Aren't you turning into a zombie right now? You're already expelling water from your body. By the way, when fighting a zombie, shooting it in the head is the best."
Seeing this, the soldiers' gazes hardened even more, and they aimed their rifles at Ah Wei's head.
"This...this..." Upon seeing this, Ah Wei was terrified. His legs went weak, and he knelt down. He wailed, "Uncle Jiu, please heal me too."
"Ah Wei, you've knelt backwards. Asking Uncle Jiu to kneel with his back to Uncle Jiu isn't enough; it shows no sincerity," Ren Fa said, feeling a surge of satisfaction. However, he didn't dare to kick him while he was down, because he had truly been captured by a zombie. If even Ah Wei, the half-zombie, couldn't be saved, the soldiers would be even less likely to let him, the half-zombie, go.
'I don't want to either, but my legs are too weak.' Ah Wei sighed inwardly, unsure if he was really going to turn into a zombie. Although he knew he was just scared, what if it really was?
Ah Wei cried and begged Uncle Nine, "Uncle Nine, you must heal me! I don't want to become a zombie, sob sob..."
"Alright, I'll treat you. Everyone, go to the mortuary first, so I can get some medicine." Uncle Nine nodded and said, secretly giving Wang Han another thumbs up. How could he not see whether Ah Wei was poisoned by corpse poison? It was clearly Wang Han who was bluffing.
"Wang Han, is there another half you mentioned?" Uncle Nine whispered to Wang Han. Ah Wei was just Wang Han improvising; so who exactly was the half zombie?
"Actually, only Master Ren was injured by the zombie. The half-zombie I was referring to was Ah Wei." Wang Han shook his head with a smile and said, "I knew he would cause trouble."
"Insightful." Upon hearing this, Uncle Jiu couldn't help but give Wang Han a thumbs up again. Wang Han was right; he had a knack for judging people. Qiu Sheng's literary talent was far inferior to his.
"Go and carry the zombies out and burn them with lychee branches," Uncle Nine instructed Qiu Sheng and Wen Cai.
"You guys hurry up and help too." Seeing this, Ah Wei quickly took the opportunity to call away his men who were pointing guns at him.

Back at the mortuary, Uncle Nine used the same method to treat the corpse poison, but this time the patients were Master Ren and Ah Wei. One could afford the money, and the other could afford to provide the manpower, making their suffering far greater than that of Wen Cai.
"Jump faster." Seeing Ah Wei standing barefoot on the bed covered in glutinous rice, panting, one of Ah Wei's men hit Ah Wei's foot with a stick.

“Captain, you asked me to supervise you,” Ah Wei’s subordinate said innocently.
"That was right, that was well done," Ah Wei said through gritted teeth, continuing to jump on the sticky rice that was digging into his feet.
Beside him, Ren Fa was soaking in a bathtub filled with glutinous rice water. Looking at the snake Uncle Nine took out, his face paled. He whispered to Uncle Nine and Wang Han, "I said, dealing with Ah Wei is fine, but I'll pass."
