"hold head high......."
Along the coast of Japan, the roars of divine dragons suddenly echoed among the warships, as they broke through the sea and soared between the ships. Besides the dragons, enormous sea monsters also rose from the surface, hovering among the warships and cargo ships of all sizes.
"It's a monster!"
"Prepare for battle!"
Seeing the enormous creatures suddenly emerge from the sea and feeling the oppressive aura they exuded, soldiers on warships and cargo ships screamed in terror and desperately ran towards the close-in weapon systems on the warships. Many soldiers also picked up their guns and began firing at these sea monsters.
"Zzz...!" The sound of steel tearing apart echoed beneath the massive steel ships. Before the soldiers on board could launch any effective counterattack, the well-prepared sirens had already torn huge cracks into the bottoms of the warships and cargo ships.
"Whoosh..." Blazing flames spewed from the mouths of the divine dragons that burst forth from the sea, spraying directly at the soldiers on the surrounding warships. The dragons' flames were so intense that they incinerated the soldiers in mere seconds. Even the warships' facilities, the steel deck walls, were scorched red-hot and even melted.
"Splash..." Huge waves suddenly rose from the sea, and water bullets the size of houses were launched from the ocean, carrying tremendous power as they hurtled towards the soldiers on the warships.
"Whoosh whoosh whoosh..." A torrential rain began to fall from the sky—no, this rain was water arrows shot from the sea, densely covering the warships like a downpour. These water arrows were incredibly powerful; even the steel warships were riddled with dents. Soldiers who couldn't dodge in time were riddled with holes as if hit by machine gun fire, collapsing helplessly onto the ship's deck. Each slug fell in patches, killing everyone in an area on each ship.
Giant tentacles wrapped around the hull of a destroyer as if it were a toy, dragging the warship into the sea. On board, the bullets and swords fired by the terrified soldiers were like needles to the giant, causing no pain whatsoever.
"Ahhh..." Screams echoed continuously from the sea as soldiers who jumped overboard screamed. Sea monsters darted among them, swarming with blood and devouring the remaining limbs, or dragging them entirely into the water.
"Don't jump!" On the ship, the soldiers watched in horror as their comrades who had jumped overboard were swallowed by the sea monsters and dragged into the ocean, disappearing without a trace. They screamed in terror, grabbed their guns, and fired wildly into the water, praying that they could kill the unseen sea monsters beneath the surface.
"The Combined Fleet is completely finished!"
"The troops that landed are all wiped out!"
Watching the heavily damaged and silent warships and supply ships, the American admiral commanding the fleet lost his composure, his sidearm pointed at his head. It was too late; escape was impossible. Without naval support and supplies, the landing troops were doomed as well.
In this war, everyone overlooked the sea, or perhaps they didn't expect that the sea monsters would also join the fray. Now, what they overlooked has become the key to everyone's demise.
————————————————
"Our navy is finished!" On the shore, the soldiers who remained at the base stared blankly as warships listed and sank one by one in the sea. They watched as the dragons in the sky breathed fire and set the warships ablaze, and as the sea monsters, as large as ships, devoured the soldiers falling into the sea. Their heads were buzzing.
Everyone knows what the naval collapse means for the soldiers who have already landed: it means losing naval support and supplies. On this island where nothing can be resupplyed, they are doomed.
"Something's come ashore!" Most of the remaining soldiers hadn't yet recovered from the despair of the navy's demise when a terrified shout snapped them back to reality. Everyone's gaze involuntarily turned to the shore, only two or three hundred meters from the base. Their eyes widened in even greater despair.
On the shore, in the sea, countless zombies kept emerging from the sea, densely packed together, rushing towards their makeshift base, which was only two or three hundred meters from the shore, as if they had gone mad.
"It's those corpse monsters!"
Looking at the densely packed zombies rushing towards the base, their numbers were at least ten times that of those who remained behind. There were countless more beneath the surface of the sea. What was even more critical was that this makeshift base had never considered the possibility of zombies attacking from the sea. No one had imagined that these corpse monsters would enter the ocean, nor had anyone thought that the navy would be wiped out. The defenses facing the sea were extremely weak.
"Don't stand still, defend! Everyone pick up your weapons, we absolutely cannot let them get close."
"Immediately notify the main force that our navy is finished. The monsters are attacking from the sea. Request their immediate return to reinforce. Inform the garrisons at other bases that they must not abandon their bases. Otherwise, without base defenses and supplies in the wild, we will be annihilated."
The major general who remained at the base was the first to react, loudly issuing a series of orders. He then shouted to all the soldiers through a megaphone: "We have nowhere to retreat. The millions of troops ahead have no supplies and can only retreat. The navy is finished. We can only hold our ground at this fortified base. Holding this position is our only hope. There are many supplies stored here. As long as we hold on, we still have hope of waiting for reinforcements to come and rescue us."
