65th Surgery
Qin Huiping was angry and distressed. Just as she was thinking of going out, Zhou Jingzhan's cell phone placed beside the bed rang. Seeing that he had no intention of answering it, Qin Huiping glanced at Chu Yunqi.
Perhaps it was a turning point. Qin Huiping handed the phone to Zhou Jingzhan: "This is your brother Yunqi's number. Your father and the others just spoke on the phone."
Zhou Jingzhan didn't dare to answer.

Zhou Jingzhan looked at the phone screen. The call duration kept increasing with each second, and the two of them just remained silent.

As soon as he finished speaking, Chu Yunqi heard obvious sobbing. He then made up for it, "I've been busy lately. I'll go back as soon as I'm done."

Chu Yunqi returned to Country R. The surgery was secondary. The main reason was for company matters. It would take at least half a month, but he couldn't bear to tell Zhou Jingzhan, so he had to lie: "It will be soon."
Before he could finish his words, there was a knock on the ward door from the doctor. Afraid of being exposed, Chu Yunqi made an excuse to hang up the phone.
After a while, Zhou Wenxuan came in again and asked him to eat.
This time Zhou Jingzhan finally agreed to leave. While he was eating, Qin Huiping looked at him with heartache.
Zhou Jingzhan suddenly said: "I will go back to the hospital tomorrow."
Apparently, there was some progress in the call with Chu Yunqi. Zhou Wenxuan nodded in agreement, "Alright, then let the driver take you tomorrow. I heard you had a heart surgery a few days ago and the response was very good. When did you change direction?"
"Originally, the best candidate was Chu Yunqi, but his hand injury hadn't healed yet, and the patient was a classmate, so I just stepped in to help out."
The topic turned back to Chu Yunqi, and Zhou Wenxuan asked tentatively, "Did you call Yunqi?"
Zhou Jingzhan just nodded.
Zhou Wenxuan sighed inwardly and changed the subject: "How is his recovery going?"
"good."
Seeing that Zhou Jingzhan was in a bad mood, Zhou Wenxuan didn't say much and just quietly accompanied him for dinner. Only after making sure that Zhou Jingzhan had rested did the old couple feel a little relieved.
The next day, Zhou Jingzhan returned to the hospital early in the morning. His condition was almost normal. After a week of going back and forth between home and school, Zhou Jingzhan finally couldn't help himself on his day off and called Chu Yunqi after calculating the time difference.
After a few rings, the phone was connected, but the voice that came through did not belong to Chu Yunqi, "Hello, Jing Zhan."
Along with it came a noisy sound that definitely didn't sound like the early morning sounds in Country R. Barely recognizing it was Xia Baiming, Zhou Jingzhan frowned slightly, "Why are you two together? Where's Chu Yunqi?"
"Don't get me wrong, he went to the bathroom. He's been busy with his new company lately. There's a lot going on in Hong Kong, so I thought I'd come over to see if I could help. He just arrived in Hong Kong."
Although Zhou Jingzhan had doubts about the new company, he didn't have time to worry about it: "I'll go find him tomorrow and send me the address."

Xia Baiming wanted to explain but was ignored again. After Chu Yunqi returned to the hotel room, he hesitated for a moment and sent a message to Zhou Jingzhan asking him not to come over yet and that he would go back to see him in two days.
Zhou Jingzhan replied yes.
Chu Yunqi felt a little relieved, but his heart was soon filled with guilt again.
He didn't sleep much that night, and his emotional state was not good, so the round of negotiations did not go smoothly.
As soon as I returned to the hotel, the doorbell rang. When I opened the door, it was Xia Baiming and Zhou Jingzhan.
Perhaps it was because they hadn't seen each other for too long, or perhaps there were too many things that hadn't been explained, but the two of them couldn't say a word when they faced each other.
Sensing the subtle atmosphere, Xia Baiming decided to leave, leaving Zhou Jingzhan standing alone in front of the door.
Probably to ease the atmosphere, Chu Yunqi laughed, "Didn't you promise me that you wouldn't come?"

Now that everyone has arrived, Chu Yunqi, despite being exhausted, is naturally happy and said, "So that restaurant you mentioned seems to have been renovated recently. I'll ask someone to reserve a table and I'll go with you there for lunch."
Zhou Jingzhan took off his coat and wanted to sit on the sofa, but he saw the ashtray first. The room was cleaned every day, which meant that the dozen or so cigarette butts were there not long ago.
Chu Yunqi didn't smoke before going abroad. Even when they met again later, Zhou Jingzhan only saw a complete cigarette box occasionally. He didn't know how much trouble he had in his heart and how much pressure he was carrying when he smoked so many cigarettes.

Zhou Jingzhan ignored the evasive words and leaned over to kiss him. When they separated, Chu Yunqi panted and grabbed Zhou Jingzhan's collar, "Go shopping this afternoon and buy me a white shirt to wear."
The person he had been thinking about for so long finally appeared. Zhou Jingzhan had nothing in his mind and kissed Chu Yunqi's earlobe again, all the way down.
Chu Yunqi, lying on his back on the sofa, had already realized something was wrong. He couldn't let Zhou Jingzhan act like this during these critical days, so he grabbed Zhou Jingzhan's hair and forced him to look up. "You came all this way just for this?"
Zhou Jingzhan saw the sharpness in Chu Yunqi's eyes. He was afraid that Chu Yunqi might misunderstand something, so he immediately explained that it was not the case.
He wanted to add something, but before he could, Chu Yunqi pushed him away. He straightened his clothes and asked, "How many days of leave did you take?"
"I didn't ask for leave. I have to go back on Monday."
