Ye Xinning ignored it all, grabbed her notebook, and went to the conference room with Ye Xiaoxiao.
When they arrived, there were only a few people there; Xiao Chen was talking to his assistant lawyer.
Seeing her come in, Xiao Chen greeted her, "You're here."
Ye Xinning nodded, "Mm."
Xiao Chen's gaze fell on her face. "You don't look well. Have you been working too hard on the cases lately?"
Ye Xinning smiled and said, "No, it's just a personal matter. I can handle work-related things."
Since there were no work-related issues, Xiao Chen didn't ask any more questions.
With most of the people present, Xiao Chen officially began the meeting.
The first half of the meeting consisted of annual summaries. With the year drawing to a close, many cases needed to be summarized, and Xiao Chen provided comments on each lawyer's work over the past year.
"By the way, the law firm needs to promote a director. As the number of cases increases, I need someone to help me."
As soon as Xiao Chen finished speaking, everyone turned to look at him, speculating about who Xiao Chenhui was promoting.
Some of the lawyers were focusing their attention on her and Xia Wan.
At the law firm, she and Xia Wan were the two most successful. Xia Wan brought the most profit to the case, while she never lost a case.
Xia Wan looked at Xiao Chen expectantly, while Ye Xinning kept her head down. To be honest, she didn't care about being a director or anything like that.
"After discussing with Gao, we finally decided to promote Attorney Ye to the position of director."
Before Ye Xinning could react to Xiao Chen's words, Xia Wan stood up agitatedly, "Why? Why her?"
