As she was about to close her eyes, she couldn't hold back any longer, grabbed a baseball bat and started hitting. Anning didn't want to forget Leiting, nor did she want to forget Leiting, whom she both loved and hated.
Anning hugged herself, seeking a sense of security. The sense of security she felt in Lei Ting's arms, the cold room, the broken environment, made Anning tremble uncontrollably.
Lei Ting could no longer hold back. He opened the cabinet, rushed out, and picked up An Ning, who was trembling on the ground. He kicked away the several pieces of debris around him, determined not to let any danger harm An Ning.
Anning couldn't be allowed to suffer any more harm. Suddenly, Anning felt herself being hugged. She looked up in disbelief and saw Leiting, it really was her Leiting. The warm feeling was not an illusion.
An Ning immediately hugged Lei Ting's neck tightly, and the two fell onto An Yang's bed. The huge tremor broke one of the bed legs.
It wasn't an illusion; the lovers in each other's arms weren't illusions. Neither of them spoke. Anning wiped away Leiting's tears until there were no more tears on either of their faces. Anning cupped Leiting's face and asked for his love. Leiting caressed her back and desperately sucked the sweetness from her mouth.
An Ning slowly squeezed out a sentence, and Lei Ting understood it.
Anning: "Come to my room..."
Lei Ting immediately picked her up. An Ning clung tightly to his neck, afraid that Lei Ting would let go of her, and also afraid that the warm Lei Ting in front of her would shatter like in the illusion. An illusion is just an illusion, and she should just treat everything that happened before as an illusion.
Lei Ting carried An Ning towards the door. Even with his eyes closed, he couldn't bump into An Ning at all. Lei Ting kicked away the baseball bat and shards at his feet, but even so, the two of them didn't leave each other's mouths.
An Ning reached out and opened the door to An Yang's room. Under the watchful eyes of Han Yi, An Yi Yang, and An Yang, the two passionately kissed, then moved into An Ning's room and locked the door. They collapsed onto the bed.
The An family members sighed and nodded in agreement. This outcome was something they had anticipated and was not unexpected.
An Yang: "I knew it, it would definitely be like this. My sister will never escape the wrath of the heavens in this lifetime."
An Yiyang: "It's good that An Ning has come to terms with it."
Han Yi: "It's alright now. It seems like our daughter will be fine from now on. An Yang, you still have things to do with your friend, right? Go on! Your sister is alright now. Your dad and I are going to the company."
Anyang: "Okay, we'll contact you if anything comes up."
Han Yi: "Okay, don't bother your sister!"
Anyang: "Understood."
This outcome was expected by the three members of the An family, so they wisely left, leaving An Ning and Lei Ting some alone time.
Anning and Leiting kissed so passionately that they seemed to forget themselves, as if they were the only two people in the world.
As the two lay on the bed undressing each other, Lei Ting didn't forget to draw the warm-colored curtains, while An Ning deftly lifted the blanket from under her feet.
She used all her strength to tear through the lightning's protective barrier, grabbed the lightning and bit it, then buried her face in the lightning's ear and moaned softly.
The entire bed became their battlefield; they were each other's nemesis, yet also each other's concern.
The battlefield shifted from the bed to the chair, the carpet, the toilet, the sink, the bookshelf, and even the walk-in closet.
In short, they wouldn't be done until they left their battlefield and traces all over Anning's house. Anning left her atrocities on Leiting's body until both of them were covered in purple marks, and only then would she let go of their scarred bodies.
The sun went west to get its pillow. The war between Thunder and Peace ended. Peace lay on Thunder's chest, listening to his heartbeat, and warm tears wet Thunder's burning chest.
Thunder: "Baby..."
Anning: "Why did you wait six months to come find me? Why didn't you come find me right away? Why...?"
Lei Ting: "I chased after your car and yelled at you. I was dizzy for two days after that, and my grandma got sick from the stress. She almost didn't make it. I tried to contact you, but I couldn't get in touch with you... I should have come right away. I shouldn't have let you go..."
Anning: "I want to hold your arm too, Leiting. I don't love you, I don't love you at all. Doesn't it hurt your heart?"
Thunder: "It hurts...it hurts a lot...more than yours..."
Anning: "I'm going to slap your belly, and you have to apologize to my child."
Thunder: "Even if you abandon my heart, I will have no complaints."
Anning was tired from patting, and her hands were red from patting, so Leiting helped her massage her hands.
Thunder: "From now on, you can hit me whenever you want, every day, every single day, during the day, at night, in the morning, at noon, and at night."
Anning: "Are you going to lock me up at home or something?!"
Thunder: "You've captured my heart; it beats so fast for you."
An Ning: "I've really fallen for you in this lifetime..."
Thunder: "Touch me, my tears are hotter than yours..."
Anning: "Don't touch it, lick it clean, it's so salty."
Anning licked Leiting's face, tears streaming down his face as he completed his final mission.
Lei Ting caressed An Ning's face. He knew this day would come. He was glad that he had really touched An Ning these past few days and hadn't made her forget him.
Why didn't I beat up the hypnotist and make Anning kick him out?
Lei Ting kissed An Ning's forehead, and An Ning's legs draped over his waist. Their skin burned hot at the same time. As their eyes met, two tears mingled and fell into each other's hearts.
Thunder: "I am willing to sink into your swamp, even if I am about to suffocate, for you, I give up the struggle."
Anning: "I am willing to put on your shackles, even though I love the sunshine. For you, I will imprison myself."
Thunder and tranquility met in a kiss that seemed to last forever. The moment their lips intertwined, they knew they could never be apart again. This kiss was a kiss of rebirth, a kiss that cast aside past grievances, a kiss that accepted each other's most vulnerable sides. Their new life began with this kiss.
