Chapter 381 The Employer!

The moment Lin Mo defeated the third guard, his movements came to an abrupt halt. The remaining guards, their defenses already shattered by fear and despair, threw down their weapons and fled in panic, like startled rabbits trying to escape this terrifying place.

"Don't even think about running away!" The girl's eyes flashed with determination as she tried to give chase, but was blocked in front of her by Tomon's steady figure.

"Stop chasing them, let them go!" Tormon said.

"Why don't you chase them?" The girl frowned, her eyes full of confusion. "They'll report it, which will attract even more troops to hunt them down!"

"Ha, the more the better. It'll give Master Tormont's sword a good drink of blood, and he can chop them all into pieces," Tormont said. "Lin Mo, you think so too, right?"

Whether or not you kill all the guards is a separate issue from whether or not there's an army chasing you...

But he didn't say it aloud; he just smiled faintly.

For some reason, Lin Mo became worried just before leaving the dungeon.

"I really don't understand what you stinky men are thinking!" The girl shook her head. "Let's go, stop dawdling."

So the two of them quickly followed the girl away.

After walking all the way to the end, Lin Mo found himself standing at the outlet where the sewer connected to the river.

After confirming it was safe, the girl stopped. "I have something to tell you," she said.

"I also have something I want to ask you," Lin Mo told him.

"I'm a lady, ladies first, so I have to ask first," she said. "Your name is Lin Mo, right? My name is Arya, nice to meet you!"

"Ah what?"

“Arya, oh dear, Arya,” Arya said, “that’s your English name. Judging from your appearance, you must have been a loser back on Earth.”

These words completely baffled Lin Mo.

"Haha, I shouldn't have said that to you. It's not surprising that you don't know English names!" Aria said. "But, you are a transmigrator, a lucky one with a system, yet you seem like a complete idiot."

"I...I'm not really a true transmigrator," Lin Mo told her truthfully, "and my system isn't either..."

"Haha, you got this by killing some unlucky guy?" Aria didn't seem surprised at all. "Tell me quickly, what functions does this system have?"

"Holy crap, he killed some unlucky guy?" Lin Mo exclaimed in shock.

"Huh? Isn't that right?" Aria pressed, "Then how did you get your system? And how did you lose it?"

"System..." Lin Mo hesitated, "I only awakened it three years after I arrived here! As for why it's gone... it's a long story!"

"Three years to awaken? That's a bit unusual!" Iria frowned. "Haha, I'll remember that. You must tell me your story in detail sometime!"

“Okay,” Lin Mo scratched his head, “Can I ask you a question now? Is that Ya your real name?”

"How can I explain this to you? You know, an English name, right? This name sounds nice, so I gave myself this English name," Aria said. "Hey, stop looking at me like that."

"She's just a young girl. Why are you looking at me like that, with such a lecherous gaze? Have you fallen for me?"

Lin Mo, “…”

“Hey, you hairless monkey, hold on a minute,” Tormon said. “Shouldn’t you tell me who your employer is?”

A hint of impatience flashed in Iria's eyes. She glanced at Tomon and said firmly, "I've already said it, the fourth rule of thieves—'Never reveal your employer's identity,' is an ironclad rule!"

"A load of nonsense..." Tomon frowned, a disdainful smirk playing on his lips. "You're just like the Stone Serpent, your mouth is full of rubbish!"

Aria's face stiffened, then she suddenly realized something and exclaimed, "You...how did you know my employer's name?...Ah! I'm such an idiot..."

Lin Mo chimed in curiously, "Stone snake? Who's that?"

“A friend of mine in the Holy City!” Tomon exclaimed. “Tell me quickly, where is he?”

Aria kept her mouth tightly shut, as if afraid of revealing even the slightest bit of information. She shook her head, her voice resolute: "Even if you kill me, I won't tell."

Looking at her stubborn expression, Tomon couldn't help but sigh: "You little rascal, how did you manage to find out your employer's name? I'm really curious."

"Isn't that what you tricked me into finding out?" Lin Mo thought to himself.

I can't believe I was fooled by such an idiot...

Iria covered her face.
