Chapter 1088 Homecoming (Part 2)

When she heard the knock on the door, she thought something had happened and immediately stood up, putting away the tired expression on her face.

After opening the door, Lin Xuan'er stood there in a daze. It was not until she heard her mother's urging voice that she turned around woodenly and let her mother in.

"Why are you here?" Lin Xuan'er didn't even realize that her voice was hoarse.

"Your father and I were worried you wouldn't be able to spend the New Year here alone," the mother said, a smile on her face, but her eyes were filled with deep guilt and regret. If only I had known better, I wouldn't have let my daughter study medicine, she thought regretfully. "So I came all the way here to see you. Your father couldn't get away; he had to deal with the relatives."

"Oh." Lin Xuan'er bit her lip and quickly asked her mother to sit down. This unexpected reunion made her feel at a loss for words. "What did you mention?"

"I went to your hospital cafeteria and asked them to let me cook a few dishes. They were really nice and agreed after knowing my relationship with you." The mother immediately opened the thermos, which contained several dishes.

The most eye-catching thing was the plate of cola chicken wings: "Your favorite cola chicken wings, and they are made with Pepsi, come and try it!"

Lin Xuan'er's eyes lit up, and she quickly brought it to her and took a bite.

Perhaps because she had been hungry for too long, she felt like crying while eating. "Delicious, really delicious!"

"Then eat more," the mother said, opening the thermos again. Inside was hot soup. "Drink some soup, don't choke."

Seeing her daughter wolfing down the food, the mother quietly turned around and wiped away her tears. She didn't want her daughter to see her crying, even though it was a day for reunion.

"Mom," Lin Xuan'er sniffed and said excitedly, "Tell Dad to come over tomorrow by bus and squeeze into my dorm. That way, our family can celebrate the New Year together."

"Okay!" Mother agreed with a smile.

The last scene happened to Tang Yue.

She wore an apron and lit candles at the dining table.

The dishes on the table were all made by her. This was the first time she celebrated the New Year with that man after getting married.

When her husband came home and saw Tang Yue and everything she had done, he immediately hugged her happily and said, "I told you, we can go out to eat, so you don't have to be so tired."

Tang Yue shook her head, her tone still full of pride: "It's not like I can't cook! Besides, it's my first time celebrating Chinese New Year at home, so it's so meaningful to cook for myself. I don't feel tired cooking for us."

"You are so nice." Xiao Li looked at Tang Yue gently, his eyes full of happiness.

After the two sat down at the dining table, Tang Yue was about to pour wine for Xiao Li, but he stopped her: "I haven't been drinking recently. I want to have a child for our family next year!"

"Really?" Tang Yue said excitedly. She had hinted to Xiao Li several times: "We're going to have a baby!"

"Yeah," Xiao Li nodded vigorously, "so just drink plain water."

Tang Yue rolled her eyes and took out a bottle of Pepsi. Before Xiao Li could speak, she said:

"Let's have a drink tonight to wish for good luck! This way, our family of three can have Pepsi and everything goes well for us in the coming year!"

Xiao Li smiled dotingly, nodded, and raised his glass with Tang Yue.

The camera split into four parts, all of them holding Pepsi-Cola and saying with a smile:

"Pepsi-Cola, everything goes well, I wish everyone a happy New Year!"

Here, the advertisement finally ends.

The eight-minute ad tells four stories, each of which cleverly incorporates Pepsi. This ad quickly sparked heated discussion online.

As the spokespersons for Pepsi and the main characters of this advertisement, Moonlight Girls also became a hot topic, and of course everyone was praising them.
