Chapter 109 Naive Beast!

Qin Nan watched as the Moon Goddess Temple was smashed to pieces in no time, lying quietly in its original spot.

At the same time, I am very glad that I did not provoke that temple keeper before, otherwise this day next year would be his death anniversary.

With nothing else to do, Qin Nan suddenly remembered the matter of divine beasts. If Qiong Ruiheng was a divine beast, then Bai Hao, Li You, and Jiang Jiang in his arms should also be divine beasts.

Qin Nan: "Xiao Rui, you said you're a divine beast, but what exactly are you?"

Qiong Ruiheng pondered for a moment, feeling somewhat conflicted. He wondered if Qin Nan had ever heard of Qiongqi, or if he knew that his clan used to eat people. If he did know, would he be afraid and disgusted with him, or would he stay away in terror?

Qin Nan: "...Sorry, is it that I can't ask?"

Qiong Ruiheng: "No, I am Qiongqi."

Qiongqi? Qin Nan had never heard of this word before, but once she heard it, related information came to mind, though not much.

Qiongqi is said to be a ferocious beast, seemingly cursed in mythology, burdened with resentment and malice, adept at aiding and abetting evil, and feeding on virtuous people.

Qin Nan looked at Qiong Ruiheng, who was hanging his head and not daring to look at him, and was somewhat depressed. He really couldn't associate him with cannibalism. However, he thought that most of the information he knew was rumored and fabricated, and perhaps it was slander.

At least he didn't genuinely feel any aversion or resistance towards Qiongqi. Perhaps it was because he didn't consider himself a good person, or perhaps... he couldn't quite put his finger on it, but the resentment and malice felt strangely familiar...

Qin Nan patted Qiong Ruiheng's head to ease his anxiety.

Qin Nan: "I heard that Qiongqi looks a lot like a tiger, and it has wings and can fly?"

Qiong Ruiheng looked up at Qin Nan, and this time he genuinely showed happiness and surprise. His eyes seemed to be coated with a layer of light, and his smile was bright and radiant.

Qiong Ruiheng: "Yes, that's right, Brother Anan, I can fly. Do you want to fly? When I untie the rope, I can take you to fly in the sky!"

Qin Nan smiled slightly, but before she could respond, Bai Hao, who was fighting over there, interjected.

Bai Hao: "I don't need you, you little brat! He's one of my men!"

Qin Nan's smile froze: "..."

No, it's not this person, oh no, it's this beast, he's really... too childish!

This sounds like a love rivalry, and the object of that rivalry is just a seven or eight-year-old child.

Although Bai Hao's good looks captivated Qin Nan, Qin Nan currently doubted whether he and Bai Hao were truly a couple with a good relationship.

He really felt that he should prefer someone who was steady, reliable, and trustworthy, but Bai Hao's recent behavior was far from reliable.

Qiong Ruiheng didn't dare to argue with Bai Hao, so she lowered her head and whispered in Qin Nan's ear, "If Brother Hao is busy, Brother Anan can come to me."

Although she really wanted to curse Bai Hao, she knew he would hear her and she would get beaten up, so Qiong Ruiheng could only obediently call him Bai Hao.

He didn't want to end up like Tao Xiaolu, calling Bai Hao a fox to his face. When Bai Hao was in a good mood, he wouldn't care, but when he was in a bad mood, he would either be punished or beaten. Only Tao Xiaolu was obsessed with money and had no heart or soul. Anyone with a brain wouldn't be so stupid!

Qin Nan smiled and agreed, "Okay, thank you, Xiao Rui."

Qiong Ruiheng looked up and laughed, unaware that a tail had appeared on his buttocks, sticking up high and swaying behind him.

Qin Nan blinked and looked at the tail. It was quite long, tapering from thick to thin, covered with a few scales and slightly stiff-looking fur. It was very flexible when it swayed, like a feline tail, but more powerful. Even the tail had a noticeable muscular feel.

There seem to be two theories: one is that Qiongqi's tail looks like a cow's tail, and the other is that it looks like a Qilin's tail. Qin Nan has never seen a Qilin, but this doesn't look like a cow's tail.

Qiong Ruiheng noticed Qin Nan's strange gaze, turned his head to look, and realized that in his excitement, he had lost control of his divine power, and his tail had come out on its own. Moreover, because of Qin Nan's attention, he was really embarrassed, but his tail wagged even more enthusiastically.

Tanuki Yu: "Watch out!"

Suddenly, Li You let out a loud shout, and Bai Hao's figure rushed towards them. In front of him was the temple keeper, who had been beaten to a pulp. His ferocious and twisted face was filled with thick resentment, and he attacked Qin Nan at inhuman speed.

Qin Nan realized what was happening and, holding Jiang Jiang, tried to get up and dodge by pulling Qiong Ruiheng along. However, because he had been squatting for a long time, his legs went numb the moment he stood up, and he fell to the side. In his panic, he grabbed the slipknot of the rope on Qiong Ruiheng's body.

Qiong Ruiheng was stunned to gain his freedom, and unconsciously raised his hand and punched the temple keeper, sending him flying.

Qin Nan held the rope in her hand, looking completely bewildered, while Qiong Ruiheng stood there dumbfounded as well.

Qin Nan: "..."

Wasn't it said that humans couldn't solve it? Isn't this easy?!

Qiong Ruiheng: "..."

Can humans untie this trapped beast?!

Li You was shocked; he hadn't expected that Qin Nan, a human, could untie the ropes!

Bai Hao wasn't too surprised, and he could rule out the possibility that Qin Nan was neither a person from the present world nor from the Mountain and Sea Realm; he must be either a beast or a descendant of the immortal race.

As for Qin Nan currently being in a human body, there must be another reason.

There are many ways for beasts or immortals to become ordinary humans, but very few beasts or immortals would do so, since ordinary people are too fragile and have very short lifespans.

However, this raises a new problem: beasts or immortals who have become ordinary people should not possess their former abilities. Therefore, since Qin Nan is now an ordinary human, he should not be able to untie the ropes!

Before Bai Hao could think it through, the temple keeper had already gotten up and was ready to attack.
