Regardless, Totoro also got to eat hot pot. Watching Qin Nan boil the soup and put various vegetables and meats into the pot, a rich aroma soon filled the room, and Totoro's saliva dripped onto the table.
Qin Nan smiled and wiped it with a tissue, then put some meatballs, meat, and tofu sheets on the Totoro's plate, since the Totoro wasn't interested in vegetables.
Bai Hao didn't need Qin Nan to worry about him. After Qin Nan put in the ingredients, as soon as the pot was opened, Bai Hao picked up a bowl of his favorite food and ate it very elegantly and quickly.
The table full of food was eventually finished. The Totoro lay on the table, round and full, with a happy expression. Bai Hao, unusually, sat at the table for a while after finishing his meal before going for a stroll in the yard.
Qin Nan stopped eating after she was full, and since she wasn't that stuffed anymore, she quickly cleaned up the mess.
The Totoro was lying down digesting his food when he suddenly opened his eyes. He seemed to have forgotten something!
Thinking about it, Totoro glanced at Qin Nan, who was busy in the kitchen, rolled off the table, and hopped to the yard to find Bai Hao, asking Bai Hao to use magic to help him digest.
Then he sneaked back to his room, packed the snacks and freeze-dried food he had hidden in his villa into a small cloth bag, and slipped to the front yard when Qin Nan wasn't looking.
The front yard was dark, with no lights on. The Pixiu statue that used to be in the front yard was gone. A little boy who looked about eight or nine years old, with two horns on his head, was lying on his side on the stone pedestal where the statue used to be. His little dragon tail was swaying as he stared blankly into the distance.
Totoro: "Ogaki!"
Totoro emerged from the front hall through a crack in the door, dragging a cloth bag along.
Pi Yuan sat up upon hearing the sound, turned to look at the struggling Totoro, immediately got up, picked up the cloth bag, carried Totoro back to the stone stool.
Pygham: "Little Wei, what brings you here?"
Totoro, also known as Chiwei, pushed the cloth bag in front of Piyuan.
Chi Wei: "Here you go. The hot pot we had tonight was even better, but it's a pity I couldn't bring it to you."
Pi Yuan blinked. He had smelled a very fragrant aroma earlier, but he was here to reflect on his mistakes, so he could only drool. After all, Bai Hao was inside, and he didn't even dare to go over and take a look.
He was afraid of the Bai Ze clan, especially Bai Hao. Although the Bai Ze divine beasts were born to instill fear in all other divine beasts, they all had very good personalities and were kind-hearted people.
However, Bai Hao is cold-hearted and beats divine beasts ruthlessly. Although he doesn't usually fight back, he has a fearsome reputation. Otherwise, Pi Yuan wouldn't have been sent to Bai Hao to reflect on his mistakes and be punished.
Pi Yuan: "Does Boss Bai agree?"
Chi Wei: "If the boss doesn't agree, how can I bring it to you! Hurry up and eat it, I've been saving this for midnight snacks, it's so delicious, Qin Nan bought it for me!"
Piju opened the cloth bag, and the aroma of food wafted out. He took a bite of the freeze-dried food, and Piju's eyes lit up. His tail behind him wagged uncontrollably!
Pi Yuan: "Delicious! That person's name is Qin Nan, and he's human!"
Chi Wei: "Yeah, yeah, but the boss said he was acting strangely, so he kept him here."
Pi Yuan: "Strange?"
Chi Wei: "I don't know, whatever the boss decides is fine."
Pi Yuan nodded as he ate. Human food is so delicious! No wonder he thought Chi Wei was as fat as a ball.
After Qin Nan finished cleaning up the kitchen, she came out but didn't see Chi Wei. Only Bai Hao was watching TV. Qin Nan closed the door and looked up to see that the back door of the front hall wasn't closed properly. She found it strange and went to the front hall to check.
After turning on the light, Qin Nan discovered that the front door was not closed properly. Walking into the front yard, Qin Nan saw a totoro perched on the Pixiu statue, looking at him.
Qin Nan paused for a moment, then walked over, picked up the somewhat stiff Chi Wei, looked him over, and carried him back to the backyard to rest.
Pi Yuan swallowed the food in his mouth, sweat pouring down his face.
The next morning, Qin Nan woke up and got up. Since the Pixiu statue came to his house, Qin Nan felt much safer. He didn't know if it was just his imagination, but with the Pixiu statue in the front yard, Qin Nan felt that the front yard didn't feel so gloomy, but rather somewhat refreshing.
However, Qin Nan still didn't want to open the wooden door next to the well, feeling a bit resistant to it.
On a sunny day, after Qin Nan finished lunch, washed her clothes and changed the sheets. Just as she was about to make some hawthorn cake, Bai Hao poked his head out of the window.
Bai Hao: "The guests have arrived."
Qin Nan was stunned for a moment, then walked to the front yard. No customers had come, and Qin Nan had almost forgotten that he was supposed to be doing business.
Qin Nan walked to the front yard and saw Murong Xue and a boy of about twenty-three or twenty-four looking at the Pixiu statue at the door.
Murong Xue: "Wow! This stone statue is so lifelike!"
Zhou Miao: "This looks like a Pixiu statue, used to ward off evil spirits and protect the home."
Murong Xue: "Pixiu! One of the nine sons of the dragon in legend?"
Zhou Miao: "It should be, but this carving is more exquisite and more vivid than any other Pixiu statue I have ever seen."
Murong Xue: "So now you believe there's a master here!"
Zhou Miao: "You little rascal!"
Qin Nan walked over, "Murong?"
Murong Xue saw Qin Nan and pulled Zhou Miao forward, "Brother Qin, this is my cousin, Zhou Miao, the Miao from Sanshui."
Qin Nan smiled as she looked at the two of them. Zhou Miao appeared to be a very quiet person, but there was a fierce glint in her eyes. Zhou Miao politely shook hands with Qin Nan.
Zhou Miao: "Hello!"
Qin Nan: "Hello, Qin Nan, the 'Nan' in 'Nanmu' (楠木)."
Zhou Miao nodded, but before he could say anything, Murong Xue spoke familiarly, "Brother Qin, we have a strange matter to consult about this time. It's about my cousin. I was in a hurry to bring him here and forgot to call you beforehand."
Qin Nan smiled and said, "It's alright, you're welcome to come anytime."
Qin Nan preferred Murong Xue's personality. Although she was a bit spoiled, she was kind-hearted and a friend worth having. "Please come in, both of you!"
